Can you use a blasting cap instead of a bullet to set the target off? I have no gun, but do got some #6 commercial blasting caps from a quarry I worked at.
@1lovesoni Its still a bomb, whether you shoot at it, or you have a cap set if off. Now we got a euphenism "exploding targets", yet it can be a terrorist weapon with a rifle, guaranteed.
@randyclar747 yes, I can see that, but the ATF considers it a bomb if you use a fuse, so I'd assume it's a bomb if you use a blasting cap too. I understand where your coming from. But, sometimes there is no common sense in the law. It's like butterfly knives being made illegal in many states to "supposedly" stop gang violence.
@1lovesoni Regardless of what ATF says, let some Bin Laden following sleeper cell in the states learn about these "exploding targets", and something could easily disappear. The ATF needs to ban this "exploding target" because any Bin Laden follower can get an AK-47, plant a bomb in a people laden bus, and shoot. It just hasn't happened yet, so ATF isn't worried.
@randyclar747 Wait, so are you saying that we should let the ATF restrict our right even more? Anyone with even a little explosive knowledge can build a stronger and cheaper bomb from things at their locla home depot. Timmothy McVeigh did. The ATF banns things regardless of if they've been used in terrorist plots or not, I've never heard of a terrorist using a suppressor, yet they're still VERY hard to get. Terrorist dont care about the law, they dont care if their bombs are illigal or not.
@randyclar747 The last time the US was attacked it was with box cutters and airplanes, perhaps those should be more heavily regulated too. While were at it fireworks seem a bit too powerful, oh and propane tanks, and hey lets not forget gasoline yeah we need a government agency to protect us from all of those things, and their possible misuse. The world cant be childproofed, if evil men want to do evil things then they wont be ordering the components offline, theyll be going to home depot.
@FPSRussia I don't see how it is a federal felony to possess an M-80 firecracker, but legal to have enough Tannerite to blast a whole trailer home to bits less than an inch a piece. Plus all you need is a bullet to set it off. Whacky Laws.
@FPSRussia I don't know, but I think this can be used in a bad way, but noone has so far... and that is why government hasn't stepped in yet. I like exploding targets, but it can be bad... in wrong hands, right or wrong?
I don't give a crap anymore, yall keep playing with this stuff until some bin Ladens catches on to it and uses it. Fuck it.

@randyclar747 Yes, a blasting cap will work, though that's getting dangerously close to being a bomb instead of an exploding target.
