  • in this video, who sing the cover of promised Land?

  • Thanks for the comment madmike180250, it makes me angry when people have a go at a person who is know longer around, so that's why I wrote what I did, and unless you are an Elvis fan like I am people just don't get it at all, yes Elvis has passed away, but his magic stills lives on, Elvis wasn't perfect, but he was a caring man, an generous man, j Davies62

  • Sheesh, some of you people need to calm down. So they don't have the best opinion about the person, is that any excuse to cuss them out and wish violence on them? I'm sure Elvis would REALLY have approved of that....people are free to have their opinions, and are free to voice them, and reacting like they just shot your best friend in the face just makes YOU look like the idiot.

  • Who the hell do you think you are talking to, and what the hell gives you the right to say such a nasty comment that you made 'elviswasSTRUNGOUT' Elvis is the best thing to ever happen to music in general, I hope an Elvis fan meets you in the street and wipes you out, you have know right to say that, he never hurt you, and he's not around to defend himself, you are a p***k, and not a big one!! He was the kindest man around, and still would be, a very angry Elvis fan

  • his fame killed him

  • GREAT VIDEO. THERE WILL NEVER EVER BE ANOTHER ELVIS. NOT EVEN CLOSE. THE MAN WAS A ONE OF A KIND. WOOOO!!!

  • Thank you for dying and saving us all from more of your drug-addled warbling.

  • @elviswasSTRUNGOUT what a fucking tosser you are go back and listen to that bieber shit you obviously like

  • @elviswasSTRUNGOUT

Maybe I'll have you killed off to save us all from more of your fried chicken-induced porchmonkey chatter. Fucking Jew Nigger Heathen.

  • Those idiots are just plain jealous of Elvis' achievement.....! No artist ( living or dead ) can rival Elvis. Elvis was great and even greater now...He was the King and still IS the King. Are they (who said nasty things about Elvis) blind ,deaf and dumb or just plain stupid ? Elvis was a good human being ...he never harm or belittle anybody...... 50 millions Elvis 'fans cant be wrong.Rest In Peace brother...You are with God and He loves you.

  • @pakyaelvis I AGREE .

  • Very good tribute

  • I Love You Elvis, Thanks for being who you were, thanks for your human and music legacy. there can be many contenders, but only one King of Rock N Roll.

  • wish youtube made rates button like it used to be this 10/10 Love all you Elvis Fans the king is are leader for life.

  • agree with you janetflood62 i Hate The son Bitches .Hate you son Bitch godsoutlaw you son of a bitch. yeah agree with you 65dld your so right .i hate the son bitchis that run Elvis Down Want gos Round comes round and your turn mite be next outlaw son bitcher.

  • Believe it or not, but today Elvis Presley is still healing people's souls. I should know.

  • @tcbwflsh I believe you, I have heard quite a few stories where people say because of Elvis they found the inner strength to keep going. Some people disrespect him but it is their loss not to like him, we have it all with Elvis

  • I'm glad that allot of people agreed with me, yes some stars GodsOutlaw1964 care nothing for there fans, thankfully Elvis loved each and everyone of us, his manager just wanted Elvis for the money, if he was ill then all the men got told was just make sure he's ready to go on stage, if the Colonel had cared about his star he would have realised that Elvis needed help, rest and lots of TLC janetflood62

  • @janetflood62 I have read all of your comments , Janet and you talk a lot of sense. I often wonder what Elvis would be doing if he were here now.To quote Lady Mc HOLDEM Elvis is the finest man that ever walked the earth.Long live The King. T.C.B.

  • Young,Old, Fat or Dead...

Elvis is the finest man that ever walked on this earth.

    Long Live The King!

    I miss him so much!

  • @LadyMcHOLDEM I could not agree more, I miss him as well, but at least we have his films and his music

  • Elvis's talent never faltered, even right at the end the magic never left him. Elvis the king forever. Elvis's version of Promised Land was better than this version.

  • Nice Job Meatloaf

  • My dad met him 2 times. Once while he was stationed in Hawaii during the filming of Blue Hawaii, they shook hands and again in 1970s at a concert.

My dad is a lucky jerk lol

  • @iwantwhatiget Yes your Dad was lucky. It must be great to be able to say i met the King not once but twice.

  • I've got some original photos from his last concert and other concerts before he died. Standing mabye 15 ft. away from him.

  • Why does everyone want to say awful things about Elvis, just what has he done to them, nothing that's what, he sang, which made people happy he acted which did the same, the only thing that is different is now he is not around to say something, which makes these people cowards, with nothing much to do, so if they can't say anything nice then shut the hell up, you nasty bunch of losers, and yes it makes me angry, J Flood Plymouth

  • its easy to hide and take cheap shots at dead artist. elvis is the best, hands down

  • I could not agree more, if people wanted to say that they should have done so when he was still alive, not now he has gone, all he wanted to do in life is make people happy via his music which he has done tenfold, janetflood62

  • @janetflood62 awful things?. I don't think its has much of what people say thats considered awful things, than it is people putting celebrities above reproach.

celebrities have little regard for there fans.

  • @GodsOutlaw1964 You obviously haven't researched Elvis if you believe he had little regard for his fans.

  • @janetflood62 Very well said Janet. These people just will not leave Elvis alone. He achieved more in his all too short life than any of these biased morons ever will. The king is dead Long live THE KING. E.L.V.I .S .

  • @madmike180250 Exactly, he's DEAD. He doesn't know, or even care about what people are saying about him. The physical part of him is a skeleton under the ground, and the spiritual part of him is outside of space and time with far more important things to do than worry because someone had an opinion you didn't like. He was a public figure. People will like him, and others will dislike him. And each have the right to voice it. It's a fact of life. Deal with it like an adult.

  • @PchanStitch Why are you so aggresive in what you write. Us Elvis fans are not going to go away. Yes you're right everyone is entitled to an opinion , but why slag him off so badly. It wasn't his fault that he was the best. Finally i do deal with it like an adult. Don't you defend something you really like?

  • @madmike180250 Yes, I defend it, But I don't tell the person with a negative opinion that I hope someone wipes them out, I would never ask them what gave them the right to voice the opinion. Nor would I call them names, or go off on rants about how the person should be treated nicely because they're gone (think back to Chris Crocker and LEAVE BRITNEY ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONEEEEE!!!!)

  • @PchanStitch I have never made a derogatory comment about Britney. I feel that there is room for everyone in music regardless of their musical talent. There are some artists that i don't rate, but out of respect for their fans i prefer not to make comments.

  • @madmike180250 You completely missed the point....Chris Crocker made that video because he felt that people were being 'unfairly mean to Britney'. And a LOT of the comments I am seeing on this board sound a lot like those, just sub in 'Elvis' for 'Britney.'

Public figures will be scrutinized, cricticized, mocked, whatever. It's a fact of life. You need to deal with it.

  • @madmike180250 I simply say why I think the person is wrong about the choice, but DO NOT go after them personally.

  • elvis was like a steamroller and this song shows how he comes over amerika

  • twat version of promised land imo.

  • hey man,, if elvis was still here he would shut there mouth. the negative crap is just bull@%$#&$. lame asses all of them. elvis is an always will be a true talent. the king will always rock, baby

  • elvis had it

  • I enjoyed that!

  • great job meatloaf

  • Thanks that was really good! Loved the pic in 2:01 what a hoot!

    Linda

  • Even in the latter years -still The King.

  • anyway he was great

  • where can i get this amazing version of this sonG?

  • this version is meat loaf

  • Chuck Berry did it first. Elvis recorded the song in '73 at Stax Studios in Memphis.

  • The pics are Elvis...but the song is from the group "Meatloaf" they are the original artist. Although Elvis did do it to.

  • Couldn't hit notes at the end? How do explain the song "Hurt" he did at the end of his life that was the hardest notes he ever did

  • I am from Malaysia, I grew up with his songs and movies and till today I can't get enough of his songs. Really, no matter what or how good other singers are, I still feel it is not complete without listening to Elvis' songs. Listening to his songs alway make my day when I am down. Love him very much, miss his smile and facial expression and body language. Truly sad that when he was down and trouble, no one could really help him!

  • The pictures at 0:35 and 0:42 really show how much trouble Elvis was in with his health. Very sad.

  • And Meatloaf is a stately Elvis performer! Especially this song. I also like his version of An American Trilogy. Bring back Elvis!!!!!

  • What America and the world need in these days of crisis is more Elvis. It will cheer people up!! Bring back Elvis!!! We want the King. The King is alive!!!!!

  • About 260, by August of 77

  • Wonder how much Elvis actually weiged in the end?

  • Right towards the end his helpers would wrap him in saran wrap, to keep his stomach in. That's why he didn't hit many notes on his last tour, he had a hard time breathing.

  • On his last tour he hit all the high notes. I have all albums from his last tour and he hit them. 197 and a little of 76 was when he didn't really go for the high notes because he was wearing a girdle.

  • Thank you Elvis for all the pleasure you have given us and the legacy you have left.May God bless you and I hope you are finally at peace. We will always remember you with fondness and a smile.

  • AND HES STILL THE KING

  • Indeed Elvis gave us all he had to please us. God Bless.

  • Loved it!!!!

  • I liked it; dang it I liked it alot!!!
