@landsbergisLT , They're saying that when Ford puts effort into racing and racing design, the consumer benefits because racing/design has a trickle-down effect. What we see on the track will (hopefully) end up in production cars in the near future. It's why the 2011 Mustang GT is going to be such a beast!

Holman-Moody developed the modern purpose-built racing chassis that's still in use today and helped pioneer the use of fuel cells. Bud Moore proved that a 351-small block could run at NASCAR speeds. The Wood Brothers created the modern pit-stop techniques. Every car on the track today runs a Ford 9-inch rear end. FORD!
