The year she went you needed a 33 all around one time. Our gym required it two times. This year you still need a 33 AA but our gym only required one 32 and one 33. Morgan qualified this year again but missed out last year when it was in Pennsyvania. She rarely competed bars and vault her first year level 5.
We never saw a floor like that either until nationals. We always compete on a regular floor but there must have been space issues at nationals and the level 4s had to compete on a strip. We were shocked but they adjusted OK. There were 5 gyms going at one time and I guess they couldn't fit one more full size floor. We don't have state meets here and yes you have to qualify for nationals. Each level is different but level 4 is a 33AA. Our gym requires it 2x in a season to go. Thanks.
I am so sorry - never mind that last comment. I see now that it's a YMCA National Event rather than USAG National which are only open to levels 9, 10, and elite.
HI, this is Rilee's mom. So this is interesting to me. What kind of floor is that? I have never seen a floor like that, just a long narrow strip..are all your meets on floors like that? And Nationals, do they have to qualify for that, or is it the equivalent of say our state meet? Thaks, just curious...SHe looks great by the way!
