Well the shockwave in Chicago was torn down to build the superman. It was blue, and simular to this ride in the sense it had loops, quark screws, was made of metal, and was a ruff ride. I dont think it was very popular, because I remember days you could just walk on! I dont think the shockwave had 3 loops, only 2, so I think it was a tad bit smaller. Our Viper is all wood with hills and bends, fun but lower on the thrill due to no loops or quark screws (no upside down).

Viper was fucking awsome! But I REALLY hurt my neck on it. In the middle of the loop my head kinda flew forward and i messed it up.

so yeah its a great ride but i recommend you keep your heads against the head rest the WHOLE TIME!

I know!! Evey time i go on it i always now have to press my head really hard against the back-rest so that it wont bang side-to-side against the shoulder restraints.

If the ride is too ruff, it may help to keep head back up against the head rest and lean head to the outside of the turn so your head is in firm contact with two sides of harness/ cart. This should help the head bouncing back and forth because it is stable in that position. I want a house inside the park so I never have to leave. I miss you Great America

i love great america. we have the viper at the six flags in gurnee illinios, but it is totally different. It is made of wood and only has hills and banks (no loops or cork screws). It is one of the weaker ones at that park, but it is still awsome. I really like the batman, superman and raging bull. Great America kicks butt, I miss you and cant wait to go back. I want to buy a park like that and keep it open all year round so I got people to ride with!!!!!
