I make mine with flour, water, bread, minced garlic, sudden impact, premo super sticky, magic bait beef blood, catfish Charlie, little stinker catfish liquid and liver blood

I made this bait and went fishing a little while ago. Sadly it did not work. I had a few problems with this bait. For one it was ridiculously hard to get it to stay on the hook. It would either come off mid-cast or from being in the water longer than 5 minutes. Second, it is just a little too sticky for my taste. Gets even worse if you let it sit out for a good hour or two. I have since then found a new recipe that has been working marvels compared to this bait.

Here's the deal - fish eat fish. Catfish eat things found in the water - both live and dead.

Yes they have a good sense of smell and they are opportunistic feeders. SO prepared baits can work, especially for the smaller channel cats. But the best bait for cats, in general, is what they are ALREADY eating... live and cut bait fish, crawfish, worms and so on.

This recipe is really for Cotton Carp Cookies.

you're supposed to cover the shaft part and the bend. so basically just cover everything but the eye and a very little bit of the shaft

i buy a cheap pak of sausages skin them, add flour, cheese, garlic mix it till its dough like then roll into balls. make sure u use a tri- hook one with 3 hooks to hold it tight.... it works good nice garlic smell to the bait doesnt stink smells nice enough to eat.....4 little extra just before the cast roll them lightly in breadcrumbs get rid of the little pests

Instead of Peanut Butter I use Vegemite. Carp love vegemite dough. I used to make it 30 years ago just out of self raising flour, water and of course vegemite. By the time I got to my fishing spot the dough will have doubled in size lol.

cat fish eat anything... try this buy yourself some anchovy ,, leave it outside till it stink.. then use an rock to ground it wt old bread ...or what ever left over you got .. you will be impress how good it perform ..

I'm going to try this recipe for sure. I know at this one lake near my friend's house, the only thing we could ever catch Cat Fish with was, get this, Roy Rodgers' fries. Yeah. With extra salt. We seriously caught like 15 Cats each in a few hours.

all you need to do is, put some hotdogs in a baggy, add some cheddar cheese and a crap load of garlic salt. sometimes you can add tuna juice. let it sit in the sun for 8 hours on a really hot day. i caught a 9 pound catfish down at the ohio- pennsylvania border using this method on a treble hook.

@sashybut I caught a 1.5 ft channel cat on half a worm tipped with a piece of fresh hot dog. I will need to try and make a stinky bait. To your recipe I would also add some peanut butter and or anchovy paste. That stuff STINKS...

I go for carp alot and all i do is u take some water, boil it, once it boils, turn down the heat a tad, and, while stirring, slowly add yellow cornmeal until ur able to form it all together. Leave it to cool, once its cool, take your choice of an extract, i prefer either vanilla, banana, or anise, put a little indentation in the ball and add it, then just mix it in. Works wonders on carp here, just remember, a little goes a long way, just cover the hook

I tell you how I make my soft bait:

300 gr flour

50 gr cheese

50-100 fruit syrup (or very riped banana)

river water

mix with a stick till it comes good, wait 30 minutes to star using, and You will catch whatever you want. sds. Mrb - Brasil
