  • First song?

  • I like is wonderfull............

  • man there smashing that white bucktail jig are you slow rolling or poping

  • wat bait or lure did you use for the stripers?

  • yo rus wat color lunker do u usually use?

  • @ALTCH1nk - all of the colors Black Dogs Baits has are pretty good, but my favorites are the rainbow trout and delta shad. The bluegill works pretty good for largemouth in the summer months.

  • hey rus wats a good rod for senkos weighless in 100-200 dollar range and reel100-200 dollar range

  • striper fishing is like the lubina fishing we do here in Spain, when the bite is on you can just about get a fish with white underwear. When they ain't biting just take a rest, they get aroung to hittin' on something. Wow does that ever look like the rio Ebro in catalonia

  • did the back end of your boat hit those wooden poles coming out of the water at 4:50? Hopefully no damage.

  • That bridge at 2:10 looks like the Delta in Stockton called Bacon Island.

  • @HlubPevHmoob - the bridges are on Old River near Cruiser Haven Marina.

  • where are you fishing at

  • where in sacramento is this..ive been living in sacramento my whole life and fishing my whole life..

  • I called it the Sacramento Delta because it the Sacramento River runs through it, and it helps for a keyword search. Really I am in the San Joaquin Delta, down by Brentwood. Sorry for the confusion, just trying to get some good keywords it there.

  • @MienB0i916 i think its in west sacramento brother.i think i went there once.take me if you go!!!!!jk

  • GREAT VID!! My friends and I have been fishing straight for about 2 months every single day now and We still havn't caught anything yet except for bullheads. Any tips?

  • hey great video. I fish often, about 3-4 days a week. I mainly fish the southern delta, and the bite was insane about 3 weeks ago on anything shad looking. rip baits, rattletraps, fish traps, and all. however, i went on a trip and went back out 3 times last week without much luck. Any tips what to use this time of the year and where to go? I noticed you were fishing in the southern area of the delta, and Sherman island area, which is where i fished yesterday, with no luck.

  • hey Russ any pointers for mid January Shasta lake bass fishing??

  • Usually plastics fished on a darterhead or shakyhead work well that time of year. For the larger bass try jigs, or a basstrix swimbait on a 1/2 ounce head. I'd stay out on the main body and fish the 20-30 ft. range.

  • thanks a lot, i've never done winter fishing before so we'll see how it goes haaha.

    thanks again

  • @nickthoj i went with my family in august area(i think) and the crappie and kokanee salmon were just great at night!! use a sliding bobber rg with a 1/32 crappie jig head with a crappie jig(mini tube)and tip it with nibblets!!night time is when ur most lkely to get them

  • i always go to the pier right there under the bridge but only catch small ones. you know any other good spots around the delta.

    get back at me plz

  • If you are restricted to bank fishing, Union Point by middle river is a good spot, there is also some decent bank fishing in Victoria Canal.

  • what do you use mostly for striper and have you ever gone to Howe ave in sacramento theres a great fishing spot there ive been fishing there for 7 years and theres awsome action for striper

  • you make fishing look easy

  • The power of editing can do that.

  • Where the new vids at rus?

  • I have a ton of new footage, but not enough time to do the editing. Been too busy fishing. In a couple months I should get a few more videos up.

  • Haha ok. clear lake is GOOD right now!

  • Yeah it is, I caught a 7 and a 6 on a buzzbait right by Fraiser Point the other evening. That algae bloom is insane though.

  • Heading up there again on thursday. I hear the crankbait bite is good around the south end.

  • Yeah i heard that too! I ahjvent found one! Go2minnow,hard gill, and frogs are what im getting them on!!

  • Whoops! Meant HAVENT !

  • Hey Rus,

This is Kong Moua, I requested a fishing report from you last week about the delta..come by and check my clips!!..

    thanks

    have a good one..

  • Sweet vid how many mhp you gettin outta that one?

  • Hey rus what are the name of the songs in this video?

  • Jack Johnson - Drink the Water

Citizen Cope - Son's Gonna Rise

Bob Marley - Satisfy my Soul

  • Thanks Bro! Im booking a trip SOON!

  • what model z-series is that?

  • 2006 Z20 w/ 225 Mercury Pro XS

  • RUS IS THE MAN!!!!!

  • Good stuff.

  • where do you find those hair jigs?

  • Dom you can find them at outdoor pro shop but im sure they have them all over the place.

  • I hand tie them myself. First you get banana jig heads, 1/4-1 1/2 ounces. I paint the heads with white Pro-Tec powder paint. Next you tie on the bucktail. White, chartreuse, and sometimes a little red, are the only colors I use. Sometimes a little flashabo material gives it a nice finishing touch. After your hair jig is all tied up, add a 5 or 6 inch white worm tail, and your ready to fish.

  • nice vid dude ... i fish the same area there at the ship wreck ... check out some of my vids if u get a minute, i need 2 setup a tri pod thing for camera

  • I checked out your profile and saw your latest striper video. Look like you have been catching the hell out of them this year. Nice!

  • man nice boat, looks like u had alot of fun, so peaceful, i watch ur video when i can't go out fishing for bass, i can so much relate to ur experience except for big break, never been there, i so much miss the detla, ur video help me scratch my fishing itch when i can't go out fishing, hope u make more video like this one...great job

  • Thanks, I'm glad you liked the video. I'm just starting to learn about the new video editing software I just got, so the next videos to come should be even better

  • those are some nice stripers...were the fish caught on day two caught on rattle traps as well?...

  • no, those were caught on half ounce white hair raiser jigs, and then poppers in the evening

  • that's great man...I've heard that hair raisers paired with plastics work great for other guys too...the Rapala flat DTs work great for me in the delta for both stripers and largemouths...good fishin!

  • nice video setup! i like your other video with the black dog walkin bait...that was sick! i have 3 tournaments at clear lake this month. we'll talk haha.

  • I should be up there both days this coming weekend, so get back to me later and I should have some info for you.

  • Excellent video man. The sunrise/sunset shots were sweet. I might hit up Lake Amistad in a couple days on the way to FL...we'll see!

  • have you ever fished the Victoria Canal in the delta?

  • yeah, I fish Victoria Canal quite a bit when I launch out of Del's marina. I accually checked it out right after I caught that striper at widow island in the video. Didn't catch anything though, the water was super clear and there was not wind that day.

  • Sweet video rus i will be talking to you next week to see what dates you have open.

  • sounds good, I'm looking forward to fishing with you.

  • Me too i cant wait.
