  • is there any sheet music available to this yoko kanno piece?

  • This song is named after me hehe Lovely artwork, It is nice to see art in such a natural state. :)

  • misery

  • This is a really pretty song...... Haunting

  • wow. powerful. I have to disagree that your paintings are less impressive than the sketches (yes I realize that's a 2 year old comment but still). I think if the final product is rigid, it's only because its limitations are virtually the same as those limitations of physical reality. Such artistic realism combined with such emotional authenticity (looking in on the emotions present in a moment of reality rather than attempting to directly depict an emotion through form) was... crazy good

  • Geez.... who died?

  • this is polish singer Jadwiga Rappe... :)

  • great work.

especially how you captured the light.

  • Wonderful paintings! It was a joy to watch that slideshow and also to listen to that beautiful song.

Thank you for sharing your work.

  • This music is so haunting. Jadwiga Rappé sings it perfectly. Truly gorgeous.

  • I kind of... hate, people with such skills... or gifts. I love art, but I find myself... affar from " it " unneable to reach, to create, only to contemplate... maybe some day jaja...

(by the way, I mean to say that it really is a wonderful combination of your pictures and yoko kanno´s beautiful work)

  • YOu're a wonderful artist!

    :D

  • they don't just say art is life just to be saying

  • Teehee thats my name ^^ Lydia...

  • my name is Teehee ^^^^^^ ====)

  • awsome songs

  • You do need to work on the hands a bit. The girl's hands in the hug painting looked like they were actually digging into the other girl's back.

Aside from that, great work, nice use of light. I know how difficult it is to paint people, and you capture them well.

  • very beautiful its a master peace

  • nice work, nice song choice

Your hands need a little more work, but the overall proportions are great

    Very good contrast ratio

  • Someone gave you thumbs down for concrit I think.

So I fixed it because I know how important that kind of thing is (as a writer instead of a painter though).

Anyways, I'm no artist but these paintings are very good. The hair in particular stands out to me.

    Great choice of music too.

  • wow, just wow O.o

  • creepy like, but cool.

  • Hey César!

    Excelente video y canción.

Podrías subir de nuevo el disco a rapidshare?

  • Yoko Kanno is truly gifted! Amazing!

  • this makes me nostalgic of I dont know what...

  • my new fav song! thanks for posting!

  • *i m speechless seeing the paintings*

  • wonderful!

  • great pictures !

  • your painting are so realistic that I was impress you did that with paint and not a computer. The human spirit can not be broken

  • @EngrishSpy ... well we can always kill eachother..

  • this song reminds me of rachmaninoff's vocalise

  • VERY VERY NICE!! great compositions, colors and technique! VERT WELL DONE! Many compliments! FIVE STARS!

  • wow, you can really see the paints come alive in the stages.

  • gorgeous paintings...nice choice of music too, yoko kanno rocks!

  • the monalisa was painted with a glaze technique 2.

  • Anybody else hear the Debussy in this?

    :]

  • You are very talented indeed.

    Welldone! ^_^

  • o my god...what a perfect paiting <3

    great.

  • very impressive paintings. well done.

  • omg the last one looks so real!!!!!!!

  • great song and truly your paintings are impressive - no doubt you have skills so keep doing this :) sry for my english im from poland

  • where can I download this?

  • I was looking at the hair and was like..Oh my..That looks simply amazing! THEN It got even MORE realistic!!!

  • Simply... Amazing paintings! I am studying art and can't paint almost at all (well, since I haven't ever painted before it is one explonation for that). I'm more of a comic-guy, so I have to admire such skill to make those people look alive.

  • awesome!!!!

  • I like these paintings. But it can't be helped I think the sketches are much more beautiful then the actuall result.

  • ahh, that's an interesting point. Yes, they are more freely. Sometimes the final result is somehow rigid.

  • @queenmillennia

D'accord - the first sketches are the "salty realness" ;o) ... the layers are the "sugarcoating"

  • @queenmillennia agree with you!

  • how many glazes have you made?

  • Oh, I don't know how may glazes they have. I just keep working until I think I'm finished. Sometimes some parts only need 2 or 3 glazes, but others, need like 20. The backgrounds always have less glazes, the hair and skin always have more. :)

  • Wow, I"ve never heard of that kind of technique for painting before, but that's a very interesting technique. You must be a very patient person to be able to paint like that, how do you do it? =P But apparently it's very worth it in the end, seeing how each painting literally comes to life with each layer of paint. Very nice job, glad I learned something new today. =)

  • I'm not patient at all, lol, I always want to see them finished! But yes, the result is worth the wait. Oh, and looking at them in real life is better, the colors really have a pretty glow!

  • This song and video is very orgasmic. Bravo!!

  • I am 21 and an alcoholic.

  • hey, me too

  • I love you

  • Yay, My first name is Lydia XD

  • 0.o beautiful

  • How long have you been painting with glazes? Are these paintings based off of real people or people you just imangined? Anyway I hope that you keep your artistic skills high and don't give up...

  • Hi, I've been painting with glazes for 5 years now. At the begining they were very rough, but now I'm getting a little better. This are based on photos.

  • holy cow!!!! how old are you?!?!?!

i have never heard of glazing before but now i wanna try

  • I'm 24. You can achieve nice effects by glazing, the only problem is that it turns out to be very slow. It's OK for small size paintings, but for big ones I prefer direct mixing with few glazes. Try it first with acrylics, as they dry instantly and you can see how different glazes will work. good luck! (Use liquin to thin oils and gel medium for acrylics)

  • Magnifico, realmente admiro la expresion y delicadeza de tus temas

  • pefection.

  • Its absolutely Wonderful

    It touches me(a lot).

  • Fantastic.
