  • sell that old junk and get a nice made in China one!

  • This video went viral on Freetown

  • Your video is a favorite on Lebanon

  • That old machinery wasn't measured in miles, It was measured in decades

  • Is the seat position an after thought, looks like tank takes presidence ? Does it have an oil pump or is gravity fed ? JOHNB. - N.Y.C.

  • Does anyone know the displacement of the engine?

  • @SourdoughMusk I believe the size is 1,000 cc (61 ci).

  • @steinthms no way that that's 1000cc, i mean really?

  • @woodshuck It's true.

  • @steinthms damn :P

  • I hope we can see it somewhen live on a rally!

  • going 50mph on that must seem so fast...

great to see its still running after all these years

  • board track raceing was a very deadly sport in it's day...

  • Awesome bike!

  • man i could listen to that thing run for minutes

    look up goerge kavassilas

  • 1 person doesn't appreciate a great piece of motorcycle history

  • thats awesome love vintaage stuff imagine riding this back then imagine how cool it was back then cause its still cool now :)

  • you`ll never have ANY of the modern pos bikes last a century

  • 103 years old now, damn!

  • Two questions: Two or four stroke, and what is the top speed???

  • @michelinman8592 Four stroke. Prolly not as fast as100 mph, but maybe.

  • @michelinman8592 yea basically to tell if you have a four stroke or two stroke, just listen to the sound, and four stroke makes a deep low plop sound like this and a two stroke makes the high pitch ying sound like a yz yamaha dirtbike

  • @michelinman8592

I'm pretty sure all Indian motorcycles were 4-strokes... Those pieces of shite from the 1970s don't count.

  • Thats museum quality there. I want one just to stare at.You can see and work on all the mechanics.Good Job!

  • sounds great man

  • Ever come off the stand

  • Very Cool, sound's like it will GO!

  • so basically its a moped if you have to pedal to start :/

  • Is that an old brooks bicycle saddle I see?

  • Left hand throttle or is the video mirrored ?

  • @quakermaas Left hand throttle. I think the right side is ignition advance.

  • @steinthms llol ignition advance ?! what should that mean changing the timing while the engine is running :D

  • @quakermaas great video, please more

  • What a wonderful machine, and it runs so well! Fantastic to see, many thanks for posting.

  • A real Oscar Hedstrom creation!A masterpiece.

  • that is sweeeeeeeet

  • damn, the bike is just perfect and that sound is better then any music! wish i had one of those :p

  • In a few years there will be no more fuel available to make it run.

Hundred years of fuel consumpting engines are enough.

In a hundred years people will shake their heads on these primitive electric vehicles build in 2010.

  • two cilinder wau 102years yeahhh

  • That thing is so simple, but yet quite functional. Would be fairly easy to build one and be a low cost item. Imagine Indian making bikes like this one! This is something to see...a piece of modern marvel in action from that time. Probably more than half the country was still using trains and horses to get around!

  • What's interesting to noticed is that the spokes disappear when it's spinning up fast. Pretty cool.

  • These bikes were around 5 horsepower and would average about 60mph in fast race.

  • Good Day,

You don't see many bikes that age still operable,eh! I'm surprised it only smokes a wee bit.

....something tells me, should time allow,....would today's 2010 bikes last that long,..or would our computerized ignition, & plastics become too ozone depleted to be usable. Meaning fade away from the lack of durability to sunlight & time or natural corrosion.

  • i have one of those

  • 102 years... OMG

  • My grandfather used to pick up all the chicks in town on that thing

  • does it have any gears

  • @Darklordkime Single-speed, I believe.

  • I think tonight im gonna sleep with a big smile....Zzzzzzz......

  • So where did you find this beautiful machine?

  • nice sound 4 a 1908 :)

  • Its going to overheat if it keeps running like that

  • I just messed my pants a little

  • 50 cc

  • Hard To Get Parts?

  • Too bad they don't have any old board tracks around anymore! I would have given my left nut to see this bike racing and the wild men who had the balls to race these bad ass bikes! They say the boardtrack racers were considered "idols" kinda like the sports heros of today, and many people flocked to the boardtrack races in hopes of seeing carnage and were not disapointed.

I understand they outlawed boardtrack racing because there were too many deaths involved with the sport. nice bike!

  • @ironworkersteve57703 I suspect that many a nut was busted in the sport of board track racing.. After a while's use, the boards become slippery, and many of the bikes didnt have brakes!

  • @KapteinOpel no brakes could be problem....

  • @ighforever Yep.. Wonder why really, to save weight or to show off their balls?

  • wow thats so nice, and still running. how much is that thing worth now?

  • that is an amazing piece of riding history! i could listen to that thing run for hours...awesome

  • Wow 100 years old and still running! That looks cool ^^

  • 102 idiot

  • @einsikallin video was posted Dec 10th 2008. That makes 100 years. Idiot.

  • so how much is that thing worth?

  • that is rilly neet

  • Is this Jeff Decker's bike?

  • Bike belongs to Vince Martinico. The event website says that Jeff Decker designed the trophies. It was really a great show. Sorry they skipped '09. I hope it comes back in '10.

  • how fast was it originally capable of going

  • No idea.

  • That'd be so cool to ride.

  • Yeah, Ride that to school.

  • Hah, you'd be the only one riding one.

  • One day ill find one. Wish I could of seen the old board track race.

  • Perfect! !5 stars!

  • Over 100 years old! 5*

  • OMG! I'm in love! Beautiful! Excelent! Amazing! Fabolous! What more can I say? Now.... send it to me :)

  • HARLEY KILLER

  • What a great bike!!

What kind of engine is fitted? Is a small V2?

  • It's a V-twin. I believe the size is 1,000 cc (61 ci).
