All I got to say about this is both USA and USSR had their unique ways of running things. I respect the USA because I live under their roof. I understand why some people hate the USA. The assessment seems to be a fair, unbiased one. Now that the USSR is gone, the USA is the only superpower. I hope, however, that we will not see another cold war. No to war, yes to peace.

For now, the same problems that plagued that USSR are evident in the USA. Specifically the MASSIVE deficit and crashing economy. The only soon to come superpower will be China, but they will fall too. Empires never last. Earth needs to unite under one flag and one anthem. But I don't think we will see that in our lifetime.

Oh, and the USA actually has the 3rd largest population in the world, even back in 1990. Not the 4th, lol and we still retain that position up until this day with 310 million. (I worked seasonal for the U.S Census while in college) but now I am an aerospace engineer, I work in civilian government at sub-base bangor and yes even civilians can retain clearance as high as military personel.

Sure China is going to be the 2nd largest economy but there is no credible, factual source that proves it.
