@live2surf24 Nobody really knows. but the distress signal stopped working 40minutes after it was sendt out, so were expecting that the boat sank and brought the emergancydevice with it causing it to stop sending signals.
the boat berserk was never found and is most likely never to be found, either the crew members were found. in my mind, i think they went down with the berserk vessel. so they were already dead when the steve irvin was looking for them.
I want to THANK "Steve Irwin" men and women for searching for as long as they could possibly have could have before unfortunately retract to go to refill fuel.
This is the version I have heard, and I stay with it till I can get confirmation from "Steve Irwin".
I checked out the website of the expeditions the Beserk has done. Either it is terribly out-dated or it was abandoned. Haven't heard any news about the incident so far.
English is not good. If this answer was wrong I'm sorry. you guys think you are the same as Killer. I'm young japanese. But doesn't eat whale meat. not seen them. In this earthquake, innocent people died. Many small children died. Family is dead, a child was one. Nevertheless. they(Sea Shepherd) are happy. human not excusable.
You can be the most fierce whaler or the most passionate anti-whaler in the world, but you have to admit that Paul Watson and the "Steve Irwin" crew proved to the world what good hearts they have...they spent days and lots of resources (and more than $1700 USD) in the search for "Berserk"...their pilot spent more than 20 hours in the air scanning every inch of the ocean surface! They went above and beyond what anyone could expect, and I am proud of them all. More than proud.
@catguy43 The Bob Barker was following the Nisshin Maru back to Japan - they managed to make Japan stop whaling for the season and they called the ships back to Japan, so the Bob followed behind them :)
@venturafor2012 It's because the the Bob Barker had to keep tailing the refueling ship the Sun Laurel, because the Gojira had to go to port, so the Bob Barker was only other ship that could keep the tail.
@TheGokmovis Hmmmm.... Tankevekker du kom med der..!

@19jacinta88 I couldn't have said it better myself. Is there any word why the Bob Barker didn't aid in the search or are they too far away?

@venturafor2012 too far away, it had nothing to do with that they were following the sun laurel.
