Derek gets beautiful sound out of piano. He's very mature artist in not trying to impress his listener with the innovative style or awesome technique but just to play the song as well as he can..And I just love Peter Washington, he fits with everybody.

I had the pleasure of seeing Derek in a
small jazz setting 25 years or so ago in
NJ, and my cousin up north has seen
him regularly up there to this day. I see
by the recording here he hasn't lost
a bit of style or power over the years!
