That was so hot!. She took him down and rendered him completely helpless in 15 seconds and he had to give in. I don't know why but watching a female defeat a male like this turns me on.
@aggeloxwri - The guy doesn't look like he's even trying to fight back. The woman is obviously trained in this although she's very slow and her moves appear deliberate and choreographed which shows this was not a real fight. Probably some pro-woman home video between a mother and her son or something. But I agree with you that there is a push by feminist to establish some sort of gender superiority - even in the world of fighting and weight lifting. They see it as another glass ceiling.
@NautyKnight You obviously don't know what feminism is. Feminism believes that women can't surpass men unless dirty ways are used, which implies that women are inferior to men. Masculinists and feminists believe the same thing therefore. The only difference is the gender each move tries to favour. As for the video, even if the guy was trained, he 'd have no chance against her because he has no talent at sport, while the woman has quite a lot and just isn't trying.
Haha ... that girl is strong and looks like a good athlete. I say she would win that fight even without knowing any judo. You could tell she was going to own that before they even started fighting.
It's a scrawney guy's ultimate nightmare to get crushed by a buffed female athlete type chick on the beach.
yea that guy was scrawny and this was staged. a female could take a male in a real match at a similar weight. But not and equal training and size. Men have more of their body weight in muscle, women pack more fat. I'm female and it's a fact of life. But two highly trained people, with the woman a bit heavier than the male fighter - that could be very interesting.
LOL you don't know much about judo do you? With judo, it DOES NOT MATTER what the weight of the other person is, as it's technique that counts. You really need to watch a judo lesson to understand properly but basically you break the other person's balance, get under their centre of gravity, and flip em over. That said, you don't usually get taught how to use judo against a person who's not wearing a decent top
A common misstatement made by martial arts enthusiasts, esp. for "soft" arts like Judo, is that "size doesn't matter." That's just wrong. Size, like strength, speed, conditioning, skill, etc., absolutely matters. If it didn't, they wouldn't have weight classes in Olympic Judo.
1. I studied judo personally. 2. Size does NOT matter. One of my very short instructors proved that by throwing a much larger person. A 40 year old woman proved it on TV. They have weight classes because you are fighting someone else who is trained in judo, not an ordinary person. It's about technique - speed of it and correct execution of it, not size/strength
power and strength are important, but at the end of the day it's how creative and skilled a fighter is that allows him win the fight. if the two opponents are of equal skill then obviously strength will be an edge, it's pure logic, but still still counts a lot more.
also, there are clips of skilled fighters managing to submit much larger opponents right here on youtube, so they are worth a watch.
the idea is, don't give up just because you're smaller and weaker, in fact it is my preference to spar in ne-waza against opponents that are much stronger then me.
Most of it is faked for sure, to cater for the fetishist market. However, some good genuinely competitive stuff is also now available. One problem is that people who have never engaged in combat sports cannot come to terms with the fact that an untrained male is always going to get creamed by a fit, highly trained female. It's no different to competitive swimming, runing, cycling, etc., in that regard.
True enough, in theory. But unlike swimming or cycling, wrestling is contact, combat. There always will be doubts as to whether the male held back in obedience to lifetime of conditioning to "play nice" with girls. Anyway, why do you never see similar sized, fit, highly trained **male** wrestlers in these competitive matches? Intruiging idea: gay male wrestler v female--fewer hangups on the male side? Now that many gay males are quite open about their sexuality it might be arranged.
It's true that "an untrained male will usually get creamed by a highly trained female;" however, the average untrained man will beat the average untrained female. And the highly skilled males will defeat the highly skilled females in most instances. So why show all these videos that have mostly women dominating. I guess as you say it's for those who like female domination.
Of course there's a fetishist dimension to mixed wrestling but interest in many sports is linked to a desire on the part of spectators to see one participant dominate the other. How many fans of professional boxing would attend a tournament if they knew beforehand that each bout would end in a close points decision? Boxers who are being aimed for the top are fed a succession of no-hopers and the crowd love the resulting slaughters.

What do such videos prove ? That a skinny-never-exercised man can never beat a trained lady or that women are superior to men ?

No, that these women are very pretty

I dunno. I'm a scrawny guy and the word "nightmare" is not the first word that comes to mind.
