hello there.. wanted to know how much fps does 7D have? for slow motion movie..

@deathbunny12 Are you kidding me? No VIDEO camera shoots at 10MP. Even a $30,000 Red camera does not shoot at 10MP. You can get cameras that shoot at up to 5k. The 7D has a max frame rate of 60fps in 720p. Even the Red Epic only shoots up to 300fps.

The Weisscam HS-2 can shoot up to 2000fps in 1080p (3MP) however these cameras can only be rented.

This video looks great! Just some suggestions as to how I personally think you could get better: Have a faster developing plot and when you fire a gun, don't lift it so high for the kick back. Otherwise this looks like a really high quality film..

I liked it a lot, but the only thing is that when he fires the gun, you hear an empty bullet shell hit concrete where as grass wouldn't make that noise. But other than that excellent film! I enjoy this genre of cinematography.

Nice. Steadicam for many of the shots would have made this indistinguishable from film. As for the "story" (which I realize was likely written for the shots and not for immersion), there was a lack of updated context shots (distant shots). Would have liked to see a close up of the American's face/eyes as he saw the German soldier, and then again as he was shot, and falling to the ground. Again, though, I realize you likely weren't making a story with this for the story's sake.

This was excellent. I could see the German deciding whether or not to shoot the American. And the opening sequence with the cig shows the dude is scared shitless. Good acting, and I like the hand held motion. I think it brings the viewer into the action.

@ thegamerland. unsure why he only shot once... he shot with an MP40 which usually makes a funny sound, and it's a machine pistol not a single shooter... even one shot would have made enough noise for everyone to hear. an American Soldier and a German soldier both in a field alone with nobody else around them?... doesn't happen

good film, historically speaking thought... the facial hair (the goat), and the ear rings shouldn't have been there. just a few minor details... there are some good books that can help you ensure everythig is accurate

I know the DSLR fan boys hate to hear this, but the rolling shutter KILLS it. This is a consumer toy and a one-trick pony. It's actually to the point now where shallow depth of field irritates me. And shallow depth of field aside, what do these cameras offer? Just a cheap price tag and a host of consumer-grade problems. Take away the DOF and you're left with a crippled piece of crap.

Audio sucks.

Codec sucks.

Line skipping....arrrrgh!

Rolling shutter.

@athfrulz1 sorry that not everyone can afford high end cameras with with expensive ccd sensors, which also have problems such as interlacing, allot of camcorders still run on HDV which makes a shit load of noise and poor standard for editing. that fact is image quality pound for pound these DSLR's offer poorer upcoming filmmakers more for there money. (until you reach about 8000 pounds, then the camcorders start getting better than DSLR's)
