  • is he a fudge packer?

  • a bloody expensive and pointless way of cooking

  • good god that's 3" thick.

  • foodgasm

  • sick bastard!

  • 2:35 Umami - which is a taste like sweet sour salty and bitter ......... GREAT DESCRIPTION!

  • @TheTTstudio Lol he's not describing the taste of umami, he's saying that umami itself is a taste, like sweet, sour , salty and bitter.

  • @Zenj09 Ohhh I see. Thanks a lot, that make much more sense! I'm too stupid to understand :P

  • yap... everyone has blow torch at home... :D

  • that steak is 100% raw lol

  • @cptmuska deliciously raw

  • I love how all these people are commenting on here saying how its done lol. If you think you can do better open up your own restaurant and cook a steak. Good luck with getting your first michelin star. Only 2 more to go lol

  • The perfect steak is Kobe/Wagyu NY Strip with a marbling scale of 12/12. This steak Heston is trying to display is nothing compared to what I just said.

  • He shouldn't have put pepper on the steak before fying it and he should flip the steak every 15 to 20 seconds!

  • @01ianeo1 why

  • @manphelan watch 'how to cook like heston beef'

  • Comment removed

  • haha!!! my mates dad tried this. apparently about after eating it he span out and had to have a lie down. He thought it was coz he was so overwhelmed by 20 odd hours of intense beef aroma in his house, finally ate it and it finished him off

  • Well everything he does ; he has a reason to it and informs us why hes doing it;with a science behind it as well. Its good that there is someone like Heston with all his passion and energy.

And yes if you want to have Peking Duck and you can afford it then goto HongKong. I would if I had the cash. After all lets see how the Chinese do it

  • It's not obscenely rare. It's rare. I might prefer more of a medium rare to a rare, but with the quality of beef that this guy has access to, you wouldn't mind how rare it was when you tasted it. Betchya.

  • Enough for 2-4?

    Try enough for 1. Me.

    lol.

  • MAN'S A LEGEND

  • So he sous-vide'd it without a sous-vide?

  • Gave me the trots

  • Soooooooooooo hungry now.

  • that steak is obscenely rare IMHO

  • you have to cook a steak before you can determine what makes a steak a great steak 0:20.

What use is that information to anyone??? This guy wants me to buy a load of steaks and try them all, before presenting it?

    Makes no sense.

  • @RuudJH This isn't really a show about what you should do at home. This is really more a show for foodies who like watching the extent that this obsessive maniac will go to find perfection. He goes to Hong Kong to find perfect Peking Duck. I doubt he expects everyone to.

  • All hail the Longhorn!!

  • a perfect steak for me

  • fuckin thing is still mooing!

  • @SadisticFella

and how exactly is that a steak if it isnt?

  • Just thought it would be cooked more after 24 hrs

  • @jazzierocks1999 That's the point of cooking it at such a low temperature, the meat gradually rises to that temperature so it doesn't overcook.

  • what show of his is this? its not hestons feasts :/

  • @abhiginimav Its from a BBC series in which Blumenthal did some perfect meals.

  • @abhiginimav In Search of Perfection

  • @abhiginimav The show is named "Saturday Kitchen Live.

    "

  • @AwsomeViewer27 thanks

  • @abhiginimav It's called "In Search of Perfection". Great show.

  • i would do unforgivable sick things to eat that steak

  • Yummo!!! That looks like one nice steak!

  • diga ding ding ding ding ding ding ~
