  • @bagpiper2005 Wow, that's a first I've read a comment like that. Did you learn simply by watching people's fingers and listening to the music?? Please explain. I've been playing for 14 years and I write my own music.

  • @Enferushostis

Mate, stop being ridiculous, I've played the pipes man and boy and I'm also an experienced guitar and piano player. Pipe music is far easir to sight read than classical guitar music.

  • @Enferushostis Say what? O.o

  • Thank you sir!

  • wow thats the same for the bass guitar and buffalo dude person sheet music might be easy to read but for this u have to learn it all over again

  • I am starting to play and played the drums and thought it was just harder to use sheet music.

  • Yeah, I'm just now beginning to learn from my grandfather (I'll be inheriting his pipes when that dreadful day arises), and he said that he only ever used his sheet music until he was familiar with the instrument or he had to learn a new song. Otherwise he played from memory when he and his band marched.

  • hey my grand dad is also teaching me how to play bagpipes he was in the army and has played in the edinburgh tatoo 4 times he is giving me his chanter and his bagpipes that he learned with and plaed in the army

  • AHHHH!!!!!!!

    i dont like treble clef.

    i only read bass clef.

    grrrrrrr.

*runs off to learn treble clef*

  • Siick, the bagpipes are in the same key as the alto saxophone, which I am rather skilled at. That'll make reading easier by all means

  • Its a reall great thing your doing this, youve helped me alot!
