  • Love animusic !!! <3

  • Cool though this is in principle, the MIDI track can't quite seem too deliver the dynamic subtleties that are actually necessary for this piece, especially once you compare it to the ELP version – which you inevitably will, some passages are just too similar. I think this would need the drum part to be played on a good e-drumset by a drummer who can very well play in the style of Carl Palmer, and also the bass part to be played on real bass with MIDI pickup, to sound really good.

  • @leftaroundabout If I remember rightly, in the director's commentary on Cathedral Pictures, Wayne Lytle wrestled with how to present the audio of the track. He admitted that he was inspired by ELP, but tried to do something different even though some of the influences were bound to creep through.

  • It must be a joke to thumb down for this video, if not a joke something wrong with the person

  • Il s'agit d'une présentation réussie ! Bravo!

  • interresting!

    TY for sharing!

    Blessings!

  • Originally: "Pictures from an Exhibition" by Modest Mussorgsky, orchestrated by Maurice Ravel. Thumbs this, ready go.

  • Ahah, I'm pretty sure someone could make a metal song out of this. :3

  • someone should use as their countdown for a bomb

  • It would be cool if someone got bord enough to actualy build something like this

  • @howler344 The awesome part is that it is possible, it would just cost a lot of money and take quit a long time. (An organ by itself takes a ton of money and a lot of time to build and install)

  • What I'd really like to see is software that would enable us to create our own animations similar to this.

  • cathredral pictures is hella powerful

    POWER TO ALL CHURCHES

  • @zeratul575 AND ALL RELIGIONS

    (no discrimination)

  • this is prob the best animusic quility video ever

    I LOVE ANIMUSIC!!!!!

  • are we free to use this in our material as long as we credit you? It would be really nice at the begining of our worship service in a couple weeks about techonolgy vs. our lives today. =)

  • some of it is jerry the king lawler's intro music.

  • This is actually a very famous song , but I forget the name lol look at Isao Tomita , I knew I recognized the song ..

  • At least there are motives from the Pictures from the Exhibition by Modest Musorgski -

  • Sounds like progressive rock or sth IMO

  • is this pictures at an exhibition?

  • awsome music

  • Now make a Death Metal song.

  • how dare anyone thumb this down! Death Metal would be hilarious and awesome for Animusic! This is almost like a Prog Metal song....not quite though.

  • @Poonard yeah it would be prog metal if it had guitar of course, and oh yeah, death metal would be awesome, especially if they had some demonic floating face with red glowing eyes that could scream like something fierce XD

  • @RainbowRaider7 hahaha! I love it! They should just go ahead and do every genre. Even stupid bubble gum britney spears pop songs. I would support it even if i didn't like the songs so much because it's such a neat way to get music across.

  • @Poonard it's actually a variation on a theme by Modest Mussorgsky, from Pictures at at Exhibition.

  • @bluekeilwerth haha! I totally hear that now! Thanks for the insight!

  • @Poonard More like Pictures in an Exhibit.

  • @barnabus1978 check out a band called "Captured! by robots"

  • @barnabus1978 agreed

  • BRAVO!

  • Great video quality!

  • Absolutely beautiful! I admire you a lot!

  • Ok, now I want to see one perform Speed Metal Symphony.

    Ready...GO!

  • Reminds me ELP lol

  • This is from Pictures at an Exhibition. Emerson Lake and Palmer did it in the 70's. I have both DVD's & CD's....it's one of my frequently played CD's... I can't wait till the next on to come out. Class & quality in one package.

  • Gosh I know I've played this but I cannot for the life of me remember what it is...help?

  • Modest Mussorgsky - Pictures at an Exhibition (some of them: Promenade, Great Gate of Kiev...)

  • Thank you. That's what I thought it was but I wasn't sure. I played Pictures in high school.

  • I don't understand why they added a countdown to the original video. What is it counting down to?

  • I think these "countdown" videos are intended for showing to an audience while they wait for the main show to start, or for the speaker to go on stage. For example, in a church.

  • Ah, I see

  • another awesome vid

... visuals amazing and i love cathedral sound !! thankYOU

  • A lot of churches, and speakers use countdown videos to mark the beginning of a program or to show people how long a break has left. It's a surprisingly big business making countdown clocks.

  • An enjoyable listening and viewing experience as always with Animusic. Although, I must admit that the middle section reminds me a great deal of the music from the N64 game Banjo Kazooie.

  • I totally agree thats exactly what i thought it sounded like.

  • Mussorgsky! excellent version!

  • Excellent :D

  • Very cool... I actually played percussion on this piece in our Community Concert Band a few years back.

  • I love the Cathedral tunes. I wish they would do more famous classical numbers!!

  • While not my favorite, I really enjoy this track. Its a great animation, and a great remake of the song.

  • Very nice! I love Animusic! Great music and the animation can be very mesmerizing.

  • Cathedral based tunes are honestly my least favorite of all of the animusic tunes... i really like pipe dream and resonant chamber :D
