Psalm 150 says let everything that hath breath praise ye the Lord. @gazaking777 I am a preachers wife from Se Tx.. and alot of my family that are apostolic through and through from their hair to their skirts to their Godly homes are members of this church...and just because a hundred of the thousand there might not look holy doesnt mean that their names are on the member list. This church gives more to missions than any I've seen and they help to feed and clothe the homeless. It is a really awsome church. You should try it out sometime.

I have seen people leave the church and God because we stepped into a position that is not ours to be in. My church didn't convict me to start cutting my hair and quit dying it black. It was the Holy Spirit in me that did it, and will do the same in others as well.

I think the issue has been (and still is) that unless it's done a certain way in Pentecost, then it's not right. We, as Pentecostals, have to get over our sense of self-righteousness and understand that if it is indeed working to the edification and connection of people to God, then it just might work! But nobody is going to Hell because they want to join in on this. One thing we all need to do is make sure we're not turning an opinion into doctrine. We can't go doing stuff like that. So whether I join in on interacting with movements to state Hallelujah is the highest praise, or not, It's not doctrinal, It's just an opinion.

I am proud to say I am a worshiping dancing Apostolic Pentecostal, but this stuff of squatting down and such is nothing more than a performance. I don't dance to perform, and you go back a few years and this would have NEVER taken place in an Apostolic Church.
Don't you think it's a good idea to interact with the congregation/crowd? These people look like they are having the time of there life. I don't agree with you calling this a performance. What would take place in an apostolic church that would replace dancing?
True anointed dancing and praise does not try to get the "crowd" squatting and such. I dance in the spirit not dance to the music. There is a huge distinguishable difference.
So how does one know when one is under the anointing when dancing? Children tend to respond music when it's played. Even secular music. They don't know the difference. What does "dancing in the Spirit" mean? "Crowd" participation is as old as Miriam in the book of exodus. Being in the presence of God makes one happy and happy people dance.

I just saw him all week long at Camp in Tioga La! He is so amazing and anointed by God. He is really funny as well. His preaching was the best part of my week at camp!

I think he is advocating worship in Spirit and in Truth. This seems to be all "Spirit" and no "Truth." I would imagine the church at Corinth looked something like this.

He is definitely not speaking in a positive sense there.
Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with tongues.... Was Paul saying this was wrong and not the will of God? They did mock saying they were drunk so Paul was right there but Paul could not have that because in Acts 19 he found disciples and when they were baptized in Jesus name the Holy Spirit came on them and they all spoke with tongues and prophesied.
I would say that you are isolating Acts 2 and taking it out of its miraculous context and failing to note that all of these gifts are for the edification of the church.
1 Corinthians gives us key insight on how a church should be run. It seems very apparent that it is for congregational edification and ministry to unbelievers--with God in the forefront.
Luke (who we assume wrote Acts) was merely observing, not writing doctrinal rules for church or Salvation. Paul teaches that.
I am not isolating acts 2 I am reading 1 Corinthians in light of Acts 2...we have a historical frame from which we can read the doctrinal writings of the epistles. You have failed to see the benefit of these worshipful acts on the individual himself.
You have not addressed Acts 19 or how about Acts 10 when groups of people clearly openly spoke in tongues. Paul said that he who speaks in an unknown language edifies himself because he speaks to God. Was this not what happened in acts 10 and 19?
You really should read Acts 2 in light of 1 Corinthians 14. The Church at Corinth was a place filled with chaos, everyone speaking in tongues and prophesying at the same time. He said that was disorderly. The people at Corinth needed reprimand because they got out of hand.
Acts really explains the birth of the Church and we see that after they were formed, Paul refined them. Acts doesn't "trump" 1 Corinthians, if anything its the other way around.
Acts was for salvation. If you read John it explains the coming of the spirit, also in matthew, luke and Mark. Acts was not a gift to edify the church but the experience of the first church recieving the spirit like many books said b4 Acts. the comforter would come...thats how it came.
David was not in his underwear....The bible says he was in a linen ephod. 1 Corinthians 14 must also be read in light of the rest of scripture it cannot be isolated. In Acts 2 they thought the disciples were drunk...was Paul saying that was wrong...by no means no..
They thought they were drunk, BUT others heard them in their own language. It was a miracle.
We have to see what tongues and prophesy are used for. How do you take when it says "two or at the most three, each in turn and one should interpret"? (verse 27) Does that verse contradict Acts 2? Absolutely not! We see that these things are meant in moderation and for the building up of the church so you're not just "speaking into the air."
In Acts 2 more than 2 or 3 spoke , there were 120 in the upper room. In Acts 10 more than 2 or 3 spoke because all of Corneilious' household received the Holy Spirit and the same for acts 19?
In these occasions excluding acts 2 we have no evidence that people understood them.
Also Acts 4 says when they prayed the place shook and the were all filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied. It is clear that Paul's writings must be read in light of all of this.
I'm not saying this is heresy as Paul believed the people at Corinth were great people who loved the Lord. It seems to me to be a bit selfish, focusing on our own tongues, our own prophesy, or own "walk." In church we should be concerned with the church, not ourselves. Be concerned with yourself at home. Not to be condescending but have you ever wondered why there wasn't a Pentecostal church in the days of St Augustine and Martin Luther? This "personal Jesus" stuff has moved in past 100 years.
What I do wonder is why Augustine and Luther never said things that Paul himself said such as : 1. I speak in tongues more than you all. 2. Forbid not to speak in tongues. 3. Covet earnestly the best gifts...especially prophecy.
These elements of the church in the bible don't seem to be highlighted by Augustine and Luther. Where is the healing spoken of in Acts ? Sorry but I believe you are missing how biblical all of this is.
Paul speaks of balance! The way that Luther and the Pentecostals act is REACTIONARY. Pentecostals are overly zealous to counter what they believe are "dead" churches. Luther said that the book of James was "an epistle of straw" because it was the other side of what he was teaching. We have to find a balance where we say that 1. Paul wants everyone to speak in tongues, and 2. Do it in moderation.
We shouldn't sit on extreme ends, that's how crazy things like the Inquisition got started.
How can you call this mess? Hallelujah is the highest praise! The problem is christianity. Christianity suggest just coming to church and putting your time in and leave as dry as you did when you came. But how can joy unspeakable make you not do what's happening in this video? When you burn with the fire of the Holy GHost...you'll dance too!

I apologize that I didn't see your earlier post but I've seen this post and I will keep you in my prayers. God will show Himself strong in your life. I pray that God will show you more than just the Truth, but also peace, joy, confidence, love, forgiveness, ect. I also pray that God will heal your hurts, relationships, illnesses, & give you strength when needed.
A couple of years ago we did this at our youth retreat(can't remember if he was the one who made us do it or not), but when we got all the way up, the floor of the hotel was swaying with everyone jumping, shouting, and praising God. It was amazing.
I am deaf Assemblies of God person but I really love to view Pentecostal preaching videos. It is absoutely awesome because it really touches my whole heart to get closer to God. Praise Lord and Glory be to God ever!!! Amen!!!
and if i was in a hymnal church where they sing only with no instruments, guarantee i'm a still jump and shout!

@gazaking777 I am a preachers wife from Se Tx.. and alot of my family that are apostolic through and through from their hair to their skirts to their Godly homes are members of this church...and just because a hundred of the thousand there might not look holy doesnt mean that their names are on the member list. This church gives more to missions than any I've seen and they help to feed and clothe the homeless. It is a really awsome church. You should try it out sometime.

@gazaking777 Quit convicting others and let the Holy Spirit do the convicting. Who cares if a woman trims her hair. Pray for her but don't go to her and convict her. I have seen people leave the church and God because we stepped into a position that is not ours to be in. My church didn't convict me to start cutting my hair and quit dying it black. It was the Holy Spirit in me that did it, and will do the same in others as well.

Please, please, PLEASE get over yourself if you think that you have the monopoly over what is or is not annointed worship. I think the issue has been (and still is) that unless it's done a certain way in Pentecost, then it's not right. We, as Pentecostals, have to get over our sense of self-righteousness and understand that if it is indeed working to the edification and connection of people to God, then it just might work! There's no ONE way to go out and reach people. Go Wayne!!

But nobody is going to Hell because they want to join in on this. One thing we all need to do is make sure we're not turning an opinion into doctrine. We can't go doing stuff like that. So whether I join in on interacting with movements to state Hallelujah is the highest praise, or not, It's not doctrinal, It's just an opinion.

I am proud to say I am a worshiping dancing Apostolic Pentecostal, but this stuff of squatting down and such is nothing more than a performance. I don't dance to perform, and you go back a few years and this would have NEVER taken place in an Apostolic Church.

True anointed dancing and praise does not try to get the "crowd" squatting and such. I dance in the spirit not dance to the music. There is a huge distinguishable difference.

So how does one know when one is under the anointing when dancing? Children tend to respond music when it's played. Even secular music. They don't know the difference. What does "dancing in the Spirit" mean? "Crowd" participation is as old as Miriam in the book of exodus. Being in the presence of God makes one happy and happy people dance.

It doenst matter how long youve been around Pentecostals my friend.. Being a long time Christian isnt a status for you to wave over my head thank you. But I know what you are saying, if they are dancing and the music stops, then what are they dancing for after? answer is, music or no music, they are dancing for God. There's a song that you should listen to, It's called the Heart of Worship and it explains what im saying lol. But it's the spirit of God that makes them dance in the first place

It just so happens that they have a beat an some tunes to accompany their dancing. I dance in the spirit whether there is music or not... why?!?! because sometimes there just ins't enough praise that I dont think im worthy of giving to him. I can clap my hands, I can shout praises from here to China, but when I really feel moved by the Lord, I dance and shout hallelujah because its the HIGHEST praise I can think of to give to the Lord. I mean, He danced in front of the Arc of Convanent with music as well. But even after he was finished dancing, Im sure he kept dancing IN the spirit. I mean, Samuel 13:14 says that he was a man after God's own heart. meaning, if he would dance in the spirit whenever God would allow... and just for reference, im also UPC :D:D

Man you guys are just nuts.. instead of arguing, just enjoy the video. Enjoy the spirit that's exhibited in this video. You just killed the whole point of this video. It's suppose to inspire worship, yet you are squabling back and forth about everything. You think wayy too hard. God never intended His children to think it out. PRAISE GOD!!!! now this is church!!!! just watching this, i just got up and praised God.. i turned this up and killed it.. you preached at YC like last year in Fredericton.. and I remember it was a Satuday night inside the st.John UPC Church.. that morning the power went off in the Convention Center... so everyone was jammed packed in that church... it was soo jammed, i seen pple lined pratcially to the door of that church... i remember when he pulled this one on us . CRAZZY MAN!!

I think he is advocating worship in Spirit and in Truth. This seems to be all "Spirit" and no "Truth." I would imagine the church at Corinth looked something like this.
And Paul reprimanded them for such.

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with tongues.... Was Paul saying this was wrong and not the will of God? They did mock saying they were drunk so Paul was right there but Paul could not have that because in Acts 19 he found disciples and when they were baptized in Jesus name the Holy Spirit came on them and they all spoke with tongues and prophesied.

I would say that you are isolating Acts 2 and taking it out of its miraculous context and failing to note that all of these gifts are for the edification of the church.
1 Corinthians gives us key insight on how a church should be run. It seems very apparent that it is for congregational edification and ministry to unbelievers--with God in the forefront.
Luke (who we assume wrote Acts) was merely observing, not writing doctrinal rules for church or Salvation. Paul teaches that.

I am not isolating acts 2 I am reading 1 Corinthians in light of Acts 2...we have a historical frame from which we can read the doctrinal writings of the epistles. You have failed to see the benefit of these worshipful acts on the individual himself.
You have not addressed Acts 19 or how about Acts 10 when groups of people clearly openly spoke in tongues. Paul said that he who speaks in an unknown language edifies himself because he speaks to God. Was this not what happened in acts 10 and 19?

You really should read Acts 2 in light of 1 Corinthians 14. The Church at Corinth was a place filled with chaos, everyone speaking in tongues and prophesying at the same time. He said that was disorderly. The people at Corinth needed reprimand because they got out of hand.
Acts really explains the birth of the Church and we see that after they were formed, Paul refined them. Acts doesn't "trump" 1 Corinthians, if anything its the other way around.

Acts was for salvation. If you read John it explains the coming of the spirit, also in matthew, luke and Mark. Acts was not a gift to edify the church but the experience of the first church recieving the spirit like many books said b4 Acts. the comforter would come...thats how it came.

David was not in his underwear....The bible says he was in a linen ephod. 1 Corinthians 14 must also be read in light of the rest of scripture it cannot be isolated. In Acts 2 they thought the disciples were drunk...was Paul saying that was wrong...by no means no..

Paul didn't write Acts.
They thought they were drunk, BUT others heard them in their own language. It was a miracle.
We have to see what tongues and prophesy are used for. How do you take when it says "two or at the most three, each in turn and one should interpret"? (verse 27) Does that verse contradict Acts 2? Absolutely not! We see that these things are meant in moderation and for the building up of the church so you're not just "speaking into the air."

In Acts 2 more than 2 or 3 spoke , there were 120 in the upper room. In Acts 10 more than 2 or 3 spoke because all of Corneilious' household received the Holy Spirit and the same for acts 19?
In these occasions excluding acts 2 we have no evidence that people understood them.
Also Acts 4 says when they prayed the place shook and the were all filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied. It is clear that Paul's writings must be read in light of all of this.

I'm not saying this is heresy as Paul believed the people at Corinth were great people who loved the Lord. It seems to me to be a bit selfish, focusing on our own tongues, our own prophesy, or own "walk." In church we should be concerned with the church, not ourselves. Be concerned with yourself at home. Not to be condescending but have you ever wondered why there wasn't a Pentecostal church in the days of St Augustine and Martin Luther? This "personal Jesus" stuff has moved in past 100 years.

What I do wonder is why Augustine and Luther never said things that Paul himself said such as : 1. I speak in tongues more than you all. 2. Forbid not to speak in tongues. 3. Covet earnestly the best gifts...especially prophecy.
These elements of the church in the bible don't seem to be highlighted by Augustine and Luther. Where is the healing spoken of in Acts ? Sorry but I believe you are missing how biblical all of this is.

Paul speaks of balance! The way that Luther and the Pentecostals act is REACTIONARY. Pentecostals are overly zealous to counter what they believe are "dead" churches. Luther said that the book of James was "an epistle of straw" because it was the other side of what he was teaching. We have to find a balance where we say that 1. Paul wants everyone to speak in tongues, and 2. Do it in moderation.
We shouldn't sit on extreme ends, that's how crazy things like the Inquisition got started.

A couple of years ago we did this at our youth retreat(can't remember if he was the one who made us do it or not), but when we got all the way up, the floor of the hotel was swaying with everyone jumping, shouting, and praising God. It was amazing.
