  • show!!

  • cool cant wait to do my fender good video dude

  • But, will it blend ??

  • epiphone s g special was also my first guitar :)

  • dude.... water ruins wood....

  • can you do this to ukes? :)

  • I donj't see it on your guitar (wrong lighting to tell), but every other swirl video I see, the guys are getting A LOT of bubbles. What's the story on that problem?!?

  • 4:39 no going back lol

  • Extremely cool. How much of the testors paints were involved?!?

  • too much green

  • I use testors. they are alot cheaper. but sometimes miss some spots. still awesome job though dood

  • @kshaneyfelt9950 YEss i did it with my acoustic but it's harder

  • that is fucking cool. A++

  • This is water melon!

  • Sexy. As. Hell.

  • why is everyone using so many ugly colors at once? LOL ask someone who got a sense for colors and art before doing something like this... ^^

  • @Winterhe4rt maybe he likes these colors :) everyone is different!

  • @Allisonswallets well, i believe this was a horrible accident based on lack of aesthetic sense. seems more realistic to me. ^^

  • @Winterhe4rt im not a fan of the colors either, but its his guitar! and art isnt supposed to make sense. its art!

  • @Allisonswallets oO' Art should definetly make sense on some level. It would'nt be art if not but just randomness...

  • @Winterhe4rt but think of all the crazy random splatters of paint. and maybe he has a meaning for choosing these colors. either way, its his guitar.

  • Cool video dude! Is that basicly water with layers of paint on top of the surface? Sorry bad english ;P And is it some type of special paint?

  • really shit

  • it almost didn't look like toal crap

  • This may sound dumb, but does swirl painting it affect the playability of the guitar, and after you clear coat it, how long will it stay?

  • can i use automotive paint?

  • Post the Finished Guitar

  • Close, but no cake.

  • its just those fuckin testors wow

  • So many fantastic colours...

  • 6:05 looks kind of like a face with one eye winking

  • how did you remove all the hardware? i couldnt figure it out on my sg

  • so you put the guitar in the water?wont that screw up the wood and make it all soggy and water logged?

  • @MusicForTheReliable It's covered in a primer as well

  • We want to hear it!!!

  • what is really cool about this painting technique is that no two taffy style guitars will have the same paint scheme. it's all random. fucking awesome too. (thats what i call that kind of paint scheme, taffy)

  • I'd definately dunk my wiener in that for some good laughs.

  • Looks like you have to be really quick getting the paint in and the submerging the guitar. I'm gonna rent a crane and do my Ford Pinto.

  • epiphone sg special is not a piece of shit guitar by any means, it's actually quite nice even compared to more expensive guitars I have played, I am quite happy with mine, sounds great and plays great, some people are just hung up on throwing their money away on high priced items,

  • can i do this to my grandma?

  • very cool.

  • Nice. Now thats unique. How does it look w all the parts on??

  • Awesome.. i probably would have told my buddy to smell it, then dunked his fkn head in there! cuz i'm a fun guy...

  • Its not a low end guitar its very nice for hoe much it costs

  • can you do this with only one color and that it doesn't swirl? for example, black

  • is this why humbrol paint is better? I can see the paint was drying on the surface before you were ready.

  • @rakITNZ Exactly man...

  • Whats in the blu tanq...water??

  • an epiphone sg is not a piece of shit :s wtf are you talking about, it's a great guitar. i have one myself and it plays pretty good for a low budget guitar

  • カッコイイ‼

  • woah! my names jared and thats my first guitar O_O cool... Im paintin mine like the EVH bumblebee :D

  • Super sweet! I got an Epiphone SG Special too and I sometimes wish mine was green only instead of red. XD

  • how do u get the guitar silver

  • Looks awesome dude :)

  • Does your sister know you stole all of her nail polish? ;P Jk jk. Looks great!

  • im gonna do that to my 2011 epiphone sg special when its gotten old and stops working, even do it to the neck, and then ima replace the hardware with p-90s and s shitload of goodhardware, scratch the p-90s actually just some nice humbuckers

  • can you do this to an acoustic also?

  • @kshaneyfelt9950 Yeah just cover off the sound hole

  • @kshaneyfelt9950 no way, the water would get inside it and make it too moist.. it might ruin the guitar..

  • @kshaneyfelt9950 I wouldn't do it to an acoustic

  • @kshaneyfelt9950 yes. it's just painting

  • @kshaneyfelt9950 Why not?

  • @kshaneyfelt9950 you could but you would ruin the tone.

  • @kshaneyfelt9950 In theory you could, but you'd probably have to seal the great big hole in the center, and any other gaps first.

  • @kshaneyfelt9950 Just cover the soundhole and remove the bridge (be best to replace the bridge completley)

  • looks like what I puke up after eating 6 baja chalupas!

  • @JayradIceVains Joe satriani doesn't play gems either.

  • Quite cool actually , it looks like the Clapton SG back in the 60's painted by the fool . But not so eco-friendly with the water polution ..

  • The New Dr Rockzo's Hangover SG!

  • Beautiful job!

  • Looks great dudes :D

  • where can i find borax and what is it actually ?

  • @tibothenr Its a multipurpose cleaner, they sell it in boxs at target near the laundry detergents

  • :ooo:

  • That's tight

  • That's badass

  • did those paints work good i have them and wanted to know

  • :davesilverman:

  • Do me a favor.... make a tutorial vid beginning to end eh?

  • how much borax per liter?

  • i don't really like the green color (matter of taste), but the effects still pretty cool !! nice one guy !!

  • lol dried paint.. clumpy guitar ouch

  • can we do it on a set-neck guitar?

  • @KurtTheGuitarPlayer Sure you can, Just make sure whatever you don't want painted is taped off super tight so nothing gets to it.

  • @JayradIceVains Thanks!

  • @KurtTheGuitarPlayer if you want to ruin the neck, then go for it.

  • @KurtTheGuitarPlayer defernatly not worth risking on a 1 piece

  • Satriani is a bitch. Cool as design though!!!!!!!!!!

  • Quick q, what brand of paint did you use? Or can it be any brand as long as it is enamel paint?

  • @vevosucks28 I used Testor Enamel paints. There model car / plane enamels. Stay away from Folkart and Americana enamels. ( There too thick and wont disperse ) If you can, order humbrol enamels offline.

  • can you tell us the preparation??

  • @dtkourt1995 I sanded the guitar down smooth to bare wood ( Optional ). You only have to sand off the top layer of paint. I used a couple cans of white primer so that the colors would be brighter after the guitar-swirling. I also sanding in between coats to retain smoothness. Thats it basically, If you do this make sure you add 1.5 tablespoons of borax for every gallon of water used. Make sure the water is 72 - 78 Degrees Fahrenheit.

  • @JayradIceVains Do you have to still gloss the guitar afterwards or does the paint just do the job?

  • dude thats soooooo BADASS!!!!!

  • did you put borax in the water?

  • @guitarbog86 Yes, 1.5 Tablespoons per gallon. Its really important that you add it, you can buy borax at target .
