@XManiiAkX Anything can beat anything if built correctly, but if specific, can a STOCK 300zx *(Single or twin turbo doesn't matter) beat a DSM with basic bolt-on's? The answer is no... more than likely, it will get smoked from the start and never have a chance to catch up. DSM's respond like no others to basic mods and the AWD makes it really hard to keep up with from the launch.

@Brightside0331 yeah bro smart move. 06 Eclipse is an abomination, the 3g and 4g shouldn't even bare the name! The 3g and 4g are going to make u sick once u become a 1g or 2g owner. Trust As Shawn stated man, for the price and condition it was defiantly something to jump on without a seconds thought! car has 152,900 original miles and a newly built tranny and transfer case? With extra toppings on top of toppings? I was literally praying every night that nobody would get on this deal before me.

@flowback101 I have a 4g eclipse GT and it rides much nicer than any 1g or 2g ive ever rode in. the 4g eclipse GT is nothing to sneeze at. I have it lowered 2'' and I can change lanes at 120+ easily. I cant say that for my 1g

I have big plans for this car and the 6bolt motor Shawn threw in on the deal. I'll post some pics or video of my 2G GS-T, it speaks for itself. I did a lot of the wk myself; although, it takes A LOT of time, patience, and money. If you want it done right. And as for that Talon? It is in pristine condition bro! Shawn has some nice toys.

@knobcheese69 I build my own rides, break them, and build them up again. No big deal. But your right, Unless you know DSM's, I wouldn't recommend launching like this on a regular basis. I built this DSM inside and out and it has Years of life left in it before a serious overhaul is required. Check out my other vids!

5500 rpm is the maximun torque of that eclipse? i have one like that and i`d like to know because i dont want to break down the engine. sorry for my bad english, im from argentina

As for your Rev Limit: I'd stay around 5500rpm and not go past 6k rpm to be on the safe side. Unless you can do some head work and cams, you can easily go past 6k. Thanks for watching my vid!

This is a stock AWD Eclipse purchased for $1000.00. The engine was in pretty bad condition. I replaced the turbo and opened the exhaust for better flow. I've used dynolicious to record the times but I dont think it is very accurate. It should be in the low 13's *(13.2-13.4q/m)--Keep in mind this car is NOT tuned and is still having random misfire. Still lots of room for improvement. Needless to say, extremely impressive for a 16year old stock engine. Thanks for watching bro.

This block and head seem to be holding up strong. It was the turbo and exhaust that needed attention. So, everything in that area has been replaced. You can check out my other video title "GSX Walkaround". You can see everything that has been changed on this car. This GSX, considering where it came from, is a BEAST!

yeah ya lo mire bro. It is a beast! I just talked to the Mechanic n the dude said that with the amount i was gonna spend to fix the motor i was better off buying a new one. Plus even if i did fix the motor....few months later something else would be wrong with it since the motor has chingos of miles on it. Good job on the GSX guey, whats next?

I just did my first couple AWD launches and wow it's awesome..But then I have DSMLink with the 2 step configuration. That's a decent launch without the 2 step though, nice talon, and nice rims!

lol if you are not using a 2 step, you cant launch AWD holding the throttle, it needs to be pulsed.

I dont understand what you mean by "Pulsed". I've been launching it at around 5500rpm and it seems just fine. This is my first AWD 5spd. and its taking some getting use to, But I LOVE IT. Owned to many FWD DSM's and even 2 auto AWD's and there is no comparison. Some pointers would be very much appreciated. Thanks for watching my vid guys!

Yep! You can clutch dump FWDs case they usually (not counting slicks) start to break traction before axles. AWDs don't like that, So when you let off it's gentle at first to load up the driveline and break inertia so when you drop the clutch fully it will pull off like a mule. :)
