@sikerafoda If you want to know who wrote the song, it's simple. Paul sings Paul's compositions, John John's, and don't forget George who recorded great tunes of his own. There is one exception, I think it's Getting better. A day in the life is sung by John and Paul, you can easily identify the two parts. Penny Lane is one of Paul's masterpieces.
Hey if you can't do a Beatles reunion how's this for the next best thing? Paul, Ringo, Julian and Sean Lennon (splitting John's songs 50/50), and Dhani Harrison? Just a thought.
i can't beileve that there are 2 beatles left i mean john did'nt deserve to die just because the person did'nt like him and poor george got sick john and george rocked its a shame they had to go and paul rocks in this song but ndhudecz is right the song sounds empty with out te other beatles
im pritty sure john died because of some person that was crazy for him(some fan he was... i hate him so much (idk who did it or if he was put to jail or something but if i knew who it was omg i woud do so many things to him))
Well i wouldnt say that hes ONLY comparable to Beethoven and Mozart. However i do agree he is one f the greatest musicians that ever lived, what about John Lennon? I know this is all about Paul, but id like to think that McCartney and Lennon were equaly good.
Where is he out of tune? Seems to me that you are out of tune and out of line. One concert, one note out out of millions of live performances?? Are you a fucking idiot????
Hey man, respect. He's actually out of tune and I think that the case is he used to play this song in another pitch. Don't worry about that, Mcartney is my idol too but not for this he has to be a perfect god, isnt it?
I was at this concert and it was great!! Speaking of pitch, Paul raised the key of this song a half step higher to C modulating to B flat for live performances instead of the original recording key of B modulating to A. (Fewer black notes and easier for keyboardists, Wix and LInda perhaps? )I though Paul sounded great considering this was the last concert of his Americam tour and the temperature in Charlotte that day was 100 degrees with 100% humidity!!
That's a good point about Linda and Wix. He's got a great top end, but even for him that had to be a stretch. Even so he accommodates. Just shows what kind of guy he is I guess.
People 200 years from now will be listening to the Beatles, I guarantee it. Together, they were like a modern day Mozart. They wrote timeless music. Period.
I think McCartney was the more talented composer - as a melodist and arranger - whilst Lennon led the push for more complex lyrics [from about Help-Rubber Soul]. McCartney took on greater responsibility for the Beatles' musical direction from about 1966, leading into conceiving Sgt Pepper and experimenting with new sounds and possibilities for 'rock'. That said, Lennon was a great composer too.

PAUL IS BETTER than john since 1956 and john certanly kneew it and because of that he tried everything to eclipse Paul >But he couldnt He dindnt barried Paul
Yea John tried to eclipse Paul throughout their careers, but didn't Paul turn around and try to do the same thing? I don't think you can say one is better than the other, considering they are two very different musicians and the massive success they both had as solo artists.
This looks like it's from the early 90s. Paul's voice hasn't fared well over the years...most singers find that their range drop...Paul still tries to hit the notes and often breaks...
Because people have something called "an opinion", not everyone has yours. I love the song, but the performance is just not the Beatles, so I gave it a four. I understand what music is, but you seem to not understand what an opinion is.
Paul is the man - superb live vocals as usual, but I'd MUCH rather hear actual brass than keyboard brass. Check out the version of this song I did with troublecleff.
You don't know what you are talking about. Watch the interview paul gave right after john's death. He was like, "Oh yeah, what a bummer..." NO HEART AT ALL!!!When John left The Beatles paul said he missed an oportunity... TO MAKE AN ALBUM ABOUT THE BREAKUP!!! paul is totally sold out, he's a bilionaire now and likes to choke his wifes... Well anyway, who cares, it's just my opinion about paul
People react to news about death differently. Of course Paul would have felt terrible about hearing this he was most likely very shocked about hearing it.
Paul does not choke his wives. Thats a rumour that Heather Mills started and I don't think anyone would consider her a trusty worthy news source. She just said that so she'd look better and would get more money in the divource settlement.
Hey SoulSurfer How dare you judge somebody else's pain based on a ten second video clip of a reporter shoving a microphone into somebody's face begging for a comment. It was obvious Paul was ANGRY, UPSETT and wanted to be left alone at that moment.
John would also be a billionaire as Yoko is if he were still around so did he also sell out? NO! Don't hate because they made their money. If anyone deserved it, the Beatles did!
No trumpet. Very sad.

Opinion: a belief that is not based on proof; judgment; estimation, evaluation; a formal expert judgment; professional advice. (noun)
