The Mare is beautiful and the Foal is adorable!!! :) and is that mare for sale? because the other day I saw a horse on a website that was a grey arab mare named Silver Shadow. :)

Andalusian as well and SO MANY other breeds do too! Their color can start out as a bay and than when they get older creme.....

It really depend on genetics. My arabian was sorrel and went white. One of my friends has a spanish mustang that was grullo and went white along with a kiger mustang that did the same. It turns out that their stallion carries the gene for that.

Wow...Shadow is so graceful, she looks like those fantasy unicorns you here about minus the horn! and her foal looks like a promising little fellow...he will probably be great competitor or jumper when he grows!

hey does anyone know how many weeks after the mare has given birth can you start riding her again?

Depends on the mare. If it was an easy birth and the foal is doing well. I will ride within the first week for short slow rides. This works as long as the foal is either ponying well or follows closely by the side of the mare.

My clydesdale had her foal about 12 weeks ago and I didnt know wether it was alright to ride her yet,

She had no troubles whilst she was delivering it and its very healthy.
