  • One of the most beautiful songs in the history.

  • DAYUMM!! the fatman can play!!

  • @iamagamer333 Uncalled for, as if overweight people are usually not able to play.

  • There is the child of Michael Hedges

  • i want his VLE and VPF settings so badly

  • @maxern ha! that's funny! Only a Markbass owner would get that!

  • @TheLuigi754 aparently Moshwell did

  • 95 people are only jealous... HE IS THE KING!!!!!!!!!

  • Doss looks like Hagrid and The Blitz from How i met your mother. Anyone noticed?

  • 94 people are idiots cause this is truley epic!

  • I didn't know Don Ross is 10 feet tall.

  • They need VISH on drums!!

  • really? i had to accept I cant play 'drifting' now this?.........my guitars are in the fire place again.

and yeah the fretless bass is badass

  • I've seen Don three times in Toronto, and the last time there were still seats available in a small, lounge-bar venue. I was utterly disappointed that this kind of talent is SO underappreciated... if it weren't for Don's amazing playing and persona it almost would have ruined it.

  • Beautiful composition.....love it!

  • hi! the best sonds!! the best violão Mckee!

  • i came so many times watching this

  • This was Andy before? Dang he lost weight.

  • anyone know why they don't cut their strings up on the headstock? does it affect the sound in anyway or something?

  • @TheHippoPuff it's so the strings don't break whenever they tune the guitar :)..the strings on the headstock provide more slack and less pressure on the guitar

  • @Made4EvilUsed4Good ohh! cool i should try that someday, my strings keep snapping hahah :P anyway thanks!

  • Andy arranged it with that bass line.

  • Sempre curto esses caras!!!!

  • I adore the nature of the fretless bass, in that it compliments the harmonics of the guitar whilst playing hard on the board.

  • Reminds me to: Wild Horses, by Natasha Bedingfield.

  • does anyone know what kind of guitar he uses?

  • @AHerosTragedy I know he uses custom made Greenfield Guitars, like his Harp Guitar of Fanned Fret. Check out greenfield's website… cheers

  • sweet jesus Don is massive!

  • awh andy got all dressed up for this

  • Respect !"

  • What a nice bass sound

  • It's MICK FOLEY!

  • love tits.. oh! i mean, love this!!

  • I wouldn't be surprised if this is the first time Ross and Manring heard this song and could just make up parts on the fly.

  • sawed off capo. so awesome

  • Three greater artists, you could not find and put together.

  • good

  • Comment removed

  • but the original is so nice :)

  • Tbh the fretless isn't working for me

  • Manring definetly should not be a part of this.

  • They're guitar's have heard so much art that they started to sprout new string's.

  • Has anyone made a comment about how Don Ross looks like Hagrid yet? :]

  • @Moshwell Most probably :P

  • @Moshwell Yes

  • @Moshwell I've seen it on one of his videos a while back. Just can't remember what song.

  • vai se fuder as 93 pessoas que nao gostaram!!

  • ...wow...

  • Michael Manrig's braying bass is rather obnoxious & out of place...it doesn't fit this arrangement IMO. It was as though Don Ross & Andy McKee wanted to have a jam session, and Manrig insisted on being a part of it.

  • @dirttuner1999 ur mad

  • @dirttuner1999 I guess that's just your opinion, but I don't know, man... I thought the bass was really well played by Manring. I enjoyed this version of the song more just because of it.

  • @dirttuner1999 yeah i think its kinda off at times too...

  • @rasaecnai I respect the Manrig, but I'm just sayin'....his bass is discordant w/this amazing arrangement.

  • @dirttuner1999 i agree with you. i checked out manrig and i am wholly impressed by his bass skills. its just that, the bass in this song as you said is "discordant". In my head it doesnt agree with the way i imagine/feel the original arrangement.

have you watch Vish's drum cover of this song? the drum there is harmonious to the song and it made* the rylynn better in my opinion. So i think we can use that as a reference as to how adding an instrument in an arrangement can sound like..

  • @rasaecnai i disagree i think the off tone bass counter points the sweetness of the guitars much like to make something sweeter add a pinch of salt, why be "genric" and play the same easy brush beat and root note bass lines!!! this is real talent and great compisition of how to play away from a sound to play with it

  • @almosthonest4221 well thank you for your insight =)

hmmp you have a point there, but i guess some people just like it sweet.

  • Hagrid plays the guitar??? Love it.

  • Hmm, even thought andy`s guitar is out of tune it can still blow nice music everywhere!

  • its cool song

  • Dancing Don Ross is something =)

  • Rylynn - what a beautiful song..

  • make no mistake, michael manring is incredible, but i cant help but realise how his bass sound just doesn't quite flow. he seems a little out of place. also because of lack of facial beardage :)

  • @owenmcburns

    Agree.

I'd have thought a conventional or even acoustic bass might have sufficed.

A moo-ing bass is totally out of place here.

  • Timeless!!!

  • yep, that's definetly Captain Lou Albano on the left

  • @Andreasj1991 I think you meant to say, that there's some of this song in "So sick"

  • Dam i need 2 grow a beard

  • with Michael Manring on the bass guitar this is just some poetry

  • Mick Foley!!!!!!!

  • 92 persons didn't tell their moms that they're listening music ..

  • O_o that base player is amazing.

  • This music is very pleasant, but the musicians seem to be playing separately on the same stage.

  • @gringochucha it does seem like that but there would be no way for it to sound like it does if they were playing separately. I think that the separation is so they don't overbear each other with there own sound.

  • Andy had that look before Zack Galafianakis

  • Haha wow I havn't seen this video in so long it's weird to see McKee with a beard again.

  • i think that a touch of violen would make it even more beautiful... not to much tho just a soft touch

  • you are really talented.....

  • holy shit andy looks different then he does now... o.o

  • I think the bass line complements the amazing sounds of the guitar, not quite sure one could be as great without the other, thumbs up!

  • @mmelgarman real insightful. not.

  • Blown away as always,

    Awesome super group,

    Doesn't look like signature Martins,

    Canadian hand builds ?

  • Man, i was lying in my sofa listning to this and i did accidently fall asleep, it felt awsome :)

  • On candyrat, these artists' label's site, I looked through the artists page, finding the two I looked for (Andy McKee and Don Ross). I was surprised to see Michael Manring there. When I saw that they JUST SO HAPPENED TO HAVE MADE A DVD TOGETHER... I think my pants got a little wet...

  • "Generic chuck norris & andy mckee beard joke"

  • Kind of different seeing and hearing Michael playing a more or less 'normal' bass part...

  • fuuuuuck that was sick

  • Can someone tell me how they loop their strings at the head?

  • @tie89 just make a small loop and weave the string in and out until it wraps itself into the loop.

  • @tie89 Kind of like when you get the string in a package. Wrapped in itself.

  • @glennswindler24 Michael Manring definitely makes the song better.

  • @glennswindler24

Michael Manring writes very similiarly to these people and is more of a musician than any of us will ever be. Bit of respect at least, theres a place for every instrument on a stage.

  • @glennswindler24 Indeed, he's out of place.

  • THIS IS AN ORGAMS CONVERTED IN MUSIC! I FEEL THE SAME!...... IM CUMING

  • Damn.....

  • the fat man is Ed Motta

  • My personal choice over stress pills :)

  • probably one of the best acoustic songs ever written, i feel like i know it already before its played out but it still surprises me. Its magical.

  • I didnt know Hagred could play guitar.

  • @fetor41 LMAO this is one of the funniest comments I've read on YouTube in AGES!!! LOLOLOL

  • Nice videos this you tube world just gets bigger every day! When you have time come visit my channel!

  • This music is so healing. The celebrities should be put in a room with this music. Heal their brainwashed minds!

  • Nice videos this you tube world just gets bigger every day! When you have time come visit my channel!

  • I think McKee should write out the second half of his shit so there isn't so much confusion in the piece... Which is why it probably has the rating it has now... I think this song could be way better...

  • 92 people were watching this in a metro station

  • The music is great but the camera work sucks.

  • those 92 dislikes were caused by wrong aiming to click the Like button.

  • those 92 dislikes were caused by wrong aiming to click the Like button.

  • I have discovered dons ande andys secret ther awsome power is in their great beard!=)

  • if you are a guitarist.. don't you just wonder what the f*** have you been doing all this years ? o.O

  • Don't you just wish you could be on that stage playing along :D

  • This is the type of music that God listens to and is proud of :)

  • 92 dislikes fuck sake!!!

  • só podia dar em merda juntar esses monstros

  • @thecocreator you are absolutely right and this, this is real music

  • I thought the original version of the song was perfect in every way. Then I heard this.

  • Manring's bass sounds like a cow

  • @burnboy22 haha, zing!

  • wat kind of style is this

  • @macdaddytuhoe ear sex

  • sounded amazing when just andy mckee. sounds just as good with all 3 of them playing at once.

  • these guys could just live at the top of a mystic mountain, and all of the animals; the bears, rabbits, deer, mice, and wolves would just sit and listen to the glorious sounds of these bearded men of nature..

  • I believe that beard is the cure for cancer.

  • @jamo2006 yea too bad he shaved it :/

  • @jamo2006 Andy or Don's? lol....or both?!

  • @stanthemighty Thanks! I've tried one before on a Les Paul. I now know what I'll be buying later on this year... :)

  • where can i pick up a pair of those hands!

  • Rylynn itself was sick. this is just taking it to the next level. i love the accents

  • Some of the most amazing music Ive ever heard! BRILLIANT!! Good to know I'll be still listening to this until I die because I'll still be trying to learn it

  • Absolutely beautiful. No need for words; their fingers and their instruments say it all.

  • the musical equivalent of a mindblowing orgasm. thank you guys. that was beautiful

  • Man! Yes, Andy's guitar kinda goes out of tune, but I LOVE how it ends up making a "12-string effect" with Don's playing. And Michael's sustained notes (with awesome reverb? Digital delay? Both?) are incredibly tasty... I prefer his playing here to his soloing! (and that's a compliment!)

  • @burgmail

not effects; he uses an ebow

  • did anyone notice a little off tune on some notes? BUT I LOVE THIS SONG ANYWAYS. EVEN MORE NOW THAT HE PLAYED WITH THE ROSS AND MANRING

  • This guy makes me want to grow a legit beard!

  • 92 people are jealous of Andy's beard

  • if i had to die, I'd be glad to do it now...

  • This what happens when you put 3 real musicians, not celebrities, on stage.

  • you can't go wrong with a don ross, andy mckee, and michael manring combination on stage :-)

  • Rylynn XD manring does great

  • pretty... I just lay on my bed listening to this song and it just relaxes my mind

  • there must be some sort of spring of amazing musical talent up north the canadians aren't telling us

  • manning's play was so out of context with this piece... it would have been better if only andy and don performed this song....

  • @jingeshan24 What're you talking about? I thought Manring did a pretty good job on backing up this song. I'm a bass player and I was loving how Manring did his part on this song.

  • @jingeshan24 WTF are you talking about? He dies a great job of supporting the piece without putting himself on display. And it's Manring, you got football on the brain?

  • @tnhomeboy and that's your openion. and then again, i dont give a shit about your openion. i simplly expressed my own and you can do whatever you want about it...

  • Andy was a metalhead until he discovered this style in himself and he followed the thread, much to the profit of us all. Hooking up with Don Ross seems inevitable, I just wish Mr. Hedges could have been around to collaborate.

  • 1 337 009 views

  • @marblo85 Holy motherfucking shit. After your comment, 530 views in 18 hours. The world seems to be becoming a smarter place..

  • It's great how most people who don't know who these guys are wouldn't give them a second look if they passed them on the street. They honestly look like a bunch of old guys who you wouldn't think could make this type of amazing music. I guess it just makes you wonder how many people you might pass on the street like that on a daily basis.

  • This makes me want to work harder on playing the guitar, yet it gives me a sense of awe on how hard it would be to play this

  • I think I prefer this version

  • PARABENS VC É REALMENTE MELHOR I'M FROM BRASIL YOUR AMAZING!!!

  • its ok guys you can sit on stools im sure candyrat wont mind lol

  • all music is great music wish people would stop being so picky just listen if its good great if not well dont listen to it , its just taste thats all , nothing to do with fat cats and money

  • I didn't know Hagrid played guitar...

  • @lortaysmith prick

  • The only thing that could make this better.........I give up......maybe if i could rock the beard like that.

  • THIS is music.

  • Music like this depresses me, it shows how much our society has degraded, I see what plays on the radio, which So-called artists are getting rich, then I see these guys, true musicians, who don't even play on the radio, let alone get rich off their music, which they deserve, 10 times more than the people getting rich (Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga etc.)

  • @Metalrulz7 its your thinking that made todays media stupid, its not about the money man, its all about the music, if you like it and put your feelings and soul into it then who cares about money? I know I sure wouldnt and still dont.

  • @rarelegend This is all about the music, yes, but it sucks that these guys don't really make a living off their music, is all I'm saying. And I wasn't saying it was all about money, what I mean is, money, like it or don't, is a necessary thing to have, and I find it ducks that people with no talent are getting so much, while amazing artists are starving. (Ok, thee guys aren't starving, but you get the point)

  • @Metalrulz7 its not about the money man. These artists (like andy mckee and co.) are much happier about their music and their lives. Music shouldnt be about the fame or the riches it should be about music. Being a great musician shouldn't be about radioplay or fame or whatever.

  • @Jobizzie Lol I know dude, I'm just saying, it sucks that they don't make as much money, I'm not saying it's all about the money :P I'm not saying they're not good artists because they're not on the radio xD All I mean is that I would like to hear this stuff on the radio, and see them making money off their music. I know music isn't at all about money or fame, well real music anyways xD

  • @Metalrulz7 man i feel you dog, dont get me wrong i listen to rap and hip hop but only the good kind, lyrical kind with jazz, funk, and groove type beats, im a deticated jazz musician and i must say to, its sad how lil wayne and nicki minaj and lady gaga are getting rich off shitty easy beats and rhymes, it makes me mad...it really does

while REAL MUSICIANS are out there actually practicing and mastering their instrument, musically and techincally wise. I hope one day good music will rise again

  • @doublethumpbass89 Yeah man, exactly man, I mean, I wasn't trying to put down all rap and hip-hop, there is some good stuff, I mean, I don't know much good stuff just because I'm not crzy about hte style, personnally, but mannn, I mean, people are making usless So-called musicians fortunes for performing lame pointless music that, in most cases, they didn't even write, I mean, come on! xD

  • there are those who know the deepest of guitar... it is really fantastic

  • It just makes me cry every single time.

I won't leave this world, until I'm able to play this one.

    to someone special.

  • This is music sex.
