I've seen Don three times in Toronto, and the last time there were still seats available in a small, lounge-bar venue. I was utterly disappointed that this kind of talent is SO underappreciated... if it weren't for Don's amazing playing and persona it almost would have ruined it.

Michael Manrig's braying bass is rather obnoxious & out of place...it doesn't fit this arrangement IMO. It was as though Don Ross & Andy McKee wanted to have a jam session, and Manrig insisted on being a part of it.

have you watch Vish's drum cover of this song? the drum there is harmonious to the song and it made* the rylynn better in my opinion. So i think we can use that as a reference as to how adding an instrument in an arrangement can sound like..

@rasaecnai i disagree i think the off tone bass counter points the sweetness of the guitars much like to make something sweeter add a pinch of salt, why be "genric" and play the same easy brush beat and root note bass lines!!! this is real talent and great compisition of how to play away from a sound to play with it

Man! Yes, Andy's guitar kinda goes out of tune, but I LOVE how it ends up making a "12-string effect" with Don's playing. And Michael's sustained notes (with awesome reverb? Digital delay? Both?) are incredibly tasty... I prefer his playing here to his soloing! (and that's a compliment!)
