@Ravefire1 This is too skinny even for that breed. At a healthy weight, you should be able to just barely see their hip bones and 1-3 spine vertebraes. This IG's spine and hip bones are sticking out.
No judgement! She doesn't look like she's abused or anything, but she does need to get some more meat on her bones. My IG is almost 12 lbs and I can just barely see her hip bones and can see 2 spine vertebraes. The vet and other IG owners say she is the perfect healthy size and weight.
Hah he looks too skinny even for an italian greyhound. im not judging or anything its just an observation i mean my friend has a great dane and he eats all the time but he looks so skinny.
@Rayefire1 Not so skinny you can see their spine that clearly! My IG is 7 months old, and 9.7lbs. You can't see her spine, or tail bone. I hate that stereotype of IG and greyhounds having to be so skinny you can count their bones.
hello, I have two IGs, and my female IG was also very skinny like yours, I have had much luck with Blue Buffalo Wilderness for small breed dogs. It comes in a hot pink bag. While it is more expensive, it has really helped keep weight on my dog. You might want to give it a try, Good Luck, and you have a beautiful dog! :)
I noticed she is very thin too. I'm a vet tech and have an Iggy of my own and also struggled with her being too thin so we switched her to puppy food even though she is not a puppy its very high in calories and were then able to get her on adult once she gained weight, she looks so healthy now. If you haven't tried it I highly recommend it. But she is super adorable! Cute video :)
i know they are realy skinny, i have 5 of them at home, love them!!! they are so cute... i know they have problems eating... it's so good to know you take care of her so well! keep trying so maybe she eats a little more!!! bye!!!
@carolinacarra heyy :) First of all the Italian Greyhounds are very skinny, and secound Dorris is maybe extra skinny for her kind. Its gotten better (this video is two years old) but she is still skinny. We have been several times to a veterinarian, given her different kinds of foods, tried all we can to make her gain weight, but as the veterinarian sais; as long as she is happy, active and eats when she is hungry, theres not much we can do about the weight. Thanks for your comment :)
@TCamGameplays Dorris has recently got a new friend, Pusifer, a pure bred siamese. Mabe i should post a video of them and get some more likes ;) Thank you for your comment :)
