when i tell people chinese people and jamaicans too beause there are lots of them that live there , its like they have a heart attack because there shocked. they think jamaica is in africa
Life is quite amazing, Jamaica has such a beautiful and mixed heritage.. My Chinese family are Lee's they live in Jamaica and are also Hakka.. I don't look Chinese but my grandmother (R.I.P) although not very light had the curly hair and eye's. My mother, 2 brother's, nephew's and niece got the trait in my immediate family.
I am HAKKA also. Direct Decent From The HAN Chinese Dynasty Also Third Generation Chinese Jamaican. My Family Was Excluded From The Unites States. The Chinese Exclusion Act Of 1882 Congress Excluded Chinese From The US For Nearly 70 Years. SINOPHOBIA: The Chinese Exclusion Act Occurred In Several Countries Globally: United States Canada Australia etc... Even Jamaica... Yes Jamaica!!!!
I'm not Jamaican, i'm Irish. I dunno why people are suprised to hear that there are Chinese people in the Caribbean, that's how the British Empire was run, ripping people out of their homelands and sending them all over the world so that they (the British imperialists) could make money...
@risteard01 Irish were as privileged as the other British in the Empire. The map in 1:54 is a Hakka region locates near Hong Kong, where some roads in there named after some Irishmen. ;D Irish and Scottish were the same colonists as English. No offence.
Hakka Chinese may have descendants in East African and Madagascar. Archaeologist have uncovered porcelain pottery in Kenya and a people once suspected to be of direct Arab ancestry on Kenya's coast have revealed some Chinese oral history among their populace. Some much history and anthropology is being rewritten.
can't be just me, but why do i giggle when i hear an asian looking man speaking with a jamaican accent? it just touches my funny bone!!!
