Sword and shield got that ability after MH2, so MHF2 and Unite have it too. Press R and select item.

Just a tip to all bombers out there: If you do the guard attack with Spear(R + Triangle/Circle) or Sword'n'Shield(R + Circle) to trigger bombs you will block the explosion. This saves you a small barrel bomb and guarantees that you don't accidentally hit the monster with the small bomb first, downside is that you'll be blown back and lose a little stamina. Useful when you have nothing else to trigger them though

Monster Hunter freedom 1, freedom 2 and freedom unite is on psp.

Monster Hunter 3 is on Wii.

Wii is also getting Monster Hunter G which was also on PS2 and was an expansion for part 1.

the first hit to a monster while its sleeping does more damage, so if you put it in the middle, the first hit is the small barrel bomb, dumbass.

kirin is 1 of the easiest boss monsters because it only attacks around its body and not far

dont put the small barrel bombs near big ones. they wake it up first(small ones). initial attack on a sleeping monster does 3x the normal damage.
