  • holy shit look at how many people are at this game, the stadium is completely full. At my community college that i go to in canada theres like maybe 100 people who go to the games, if that...i dont understand, looks like a lot of fun going to these games getting hammied and having a good time...

  • jimmy chitwood.

  • simdi buralar hep post dolacak

  • OVER THE BACKBOARD FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i watch college basketball cause its more violent.

  • The home crowds have basically ruined college basketball for me. They are so fucking annoying I can't even stand to watch it unless it's on mute.

  • @imisssoundgarden ur an idiot

  • @imisssoundgarden yeah, i hate it when the home team cheers... gosh.

  • @imisssoundgarden what the fuck do you expect, for them to tap their fingers and say, "that was quite a good play... indeed." fuck you THIS IS COLLEGE BASKETBALL

  • Brent Musburger rewls.

  • Is tackling legal in college basketball?

Alas, Cal got their revenge last season in the Pac-10 Tournament. Let's see if the Bruins can muster more magic in '10-11!

  • @DanielSong39 Okay your a bum!! UCLA History speaks for its self Cal my ass dummy check the history just u got one year lucky dont mean shit man!

  • There is no other college that has the championship spirit like UCLA. Over 100 national championships and counting. That is impressive given the fact that UCLA was founded in 1919. Champions made at the University of California Los Angeles.

  • 100 national championships?

i just do not believe that is true

  • Oh, but it is very true. Believe it or not. Champions made here!!!!!

  • @dukeownsyou23

UCLA became the first university with 100 NCAA team championships in 2007 ( as 2010 105 championships)

  • @dukeownsyou23 obviously you have a computer, now look up ucla ncaa championships. Fucking stupid duke fan.

  • Ucla rocks baby!!!!!!??

  • idream of going to the states to play college basketball, gonna be far far far from easy though but i just gotta go the right way about it to have a shot at it i guess.

  • i was on the front row right behind the announcers. good times.

  • maaaan im trying to get a basketball scholarship to UCLA....I Love UCLA

  • wish you the best

  • As a huge Bruins fan, I gotta ask, are you any good? Not trying to be disrespectful. The program just has a tendency to miss out on kids that actually want to attend. Michael Jordan and Kevin Durrant both said they wanted to go to UCLA.

  • where'd you hear this?

  • Tried to post links to the articles but couldn't for some reason. Jordan said so in a Playboy interview in 1992, Durant said it on his blog. Google their names + UCLA.

  • damn you're right. they need to step up their recruiting and look to the east coast too, not just CA

  • yeah I you know I know my SHIT!

    eheheheheheheheh

    GO CARDS!

  • hahah jealous much lol

well everyone knows UCLA has the greatest basketball program and stanford is....... well thier ot that bad hahah

  • Someone is a little jelous ull always be second to UCLA its just facts

  • Go Bruins!! Cal sucks!

  • How exactly was Kevin Love ineligible? Enlighten us with your all knowing insight, please?

  • HUH he had a 3.23 gpa wtf are u talking about dumbshit

  • who the hell is UL?

  • yeah.... where the hell is UL.

  • University of Lickass?

  • this looked staged lol

  • cal is berkeley right? damn UCLA. im coming in fall :)

  • Fuck NASCAR

  • haha thts rite fuckers.

  • UCLA i remeber watchin this game lol

  • GO BRUINS!!!!!!!!!

  • First you mug the Cal guy then you illegally shoot a shot over the bucket. CHEATERS!!!!!!

  • Its not like they made the concious descision to do that, its not cheating. If anything its poor officiating, but no ref is going to say "NOOOOO BASKET CAL BALL!" after that...

  • wow

  • I live in the UK and don't get how a college would be able to get on TV with a huge crowd behind them. In the UK college basketball is just playing agaisnt another school in your area and there's no way the game could get on TV or you could get famous. The crowd would only consist of about 5 people. I don't get it how the media would film it and stuff. could someone help please who knows about college basketball nd stuff. thanks

  • lol

there's a simple answer for that my friend: college basketball players have SKILL...people get drafted into the NBA from here.. these games are really exciting and fun to watch..a handful of players in the league are even better than some of the NBA players we know today. (plus its really expensive to go watch nba games...so college is next in line :P)

  • Thts cool so schools could get famous and stuff? awesome!! :D

  • Although it is good that our college sports are played on national television, not ALL sports are boradcasted.

    For example,

-women's/men's volleyball (college or national) is not broadcasted until national championships

-same with soccer... not broadcasted until MLS finals or FIFA (or international football)

-fencing is not broadcasted at all

    -neither is MotoGP...

    -we don't have snooker

-swimming/diving isn't broadcasted until the olympics

-rugby isn't even mentioned on espn

  • In America, it's all about basketball, (American) football, baseball, and NASCAR, sadly... only American-born sports.

  • rugby is on all the time over here XD

  • So does anyone else think that youtube should remove comment boards? Looking at Holsen and blypa... wow, these boards totally bring out the worst in humanity. Idiots...

  • Wutever u non basketball playing assholes...it was *TOTALLY* legal...lol! such HATERS

  • lol that and enspiring shot and play!

  • Don't forget that the Shipp shot was illegal. It can't go over the backboard.

  • Whatever the refs allow is legal. Any blown call is illegal by the books but it's how the game is played.

  • Yeah, that's a load of bullshit.

  • i remember watching this game i was so fucking hyped after love hit that 3 then shipps shot i was speachless u dont know

p.s. usc can suck my left nut i dont give a fuck about their football bitch this is basketball so go run a touchdown in ur grandmas pussy or something

  • jooooooooooshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shiiiiiiiiiiiiippppppppppppppp

  • to bad that was a illegal shot but refs are fucking gay

  • sorry man but maybe you didn't see that this video is about basketball not football dumb ass...

  • LOL, Cal sourgrapes

  • ur a fuckin idiot dude. this is BASKETBALL, prick. in b-ball, ucla would run all over whatever the fuck gay ass team u worship. *cough* USC *cough* SUXXXX *cough*

  • ok whatever yah fuckin mormin or whutever. Who gives a shit about foo-ball WHEN UR ON A FUCKIN VID ABOUT BBALL. Utah SUCKS AT EVERYTHIN ELSE, and they like to fuck little gurls, so go on ur utah beyotchin smewhere else where we dont hafta hear u. three, who has one of the most NCAA titles? Do I see ANY utah shit schools with triple digit titles like UCLA!? 100 and still goin beyotch!!! Wooden probably scored more titles than all of the utah combined assho. utah = SHIT. UCLA FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!

  • haha u fuckin idiot. I wasnt talking about JUST basketball too stupid shit. I was talking ABOUT EVERYTHING. Yes, you dipshit. UCLA owns at EVERYTHING UTAH DOES. Every single sport or program you can damn well think of; thats why we whoop YOUR ASSES AT EVERYTHING ELSE. Ha, its pathetic how proud you are of ur SHIT STATE when its really nothing. You probably just jealous of how good LA is, and you can't get a piece of it cuz ur in the MIDDLE OF FUCKING NOWHERE.

  • Im a say this only 1 more damn time, Im NOT from UTAH you fuckin twat. East OAKLAND on mine. UCLGAY owns UTAH. Lets compare the football programs the past 2 years. Hmmmmmm.....oh yeah, BYU 59-UCLGAY 0 and that was this year. Utah Utes 56-UCLGAY 3 and that was last year. Holiday Bowl last year vs BYU, oh yeah BYU won that one too. DAMN!!!! What does OWNED mean to you. And as for my CAL BEARS can you say 27 National Championships in Rugby. CAL will work UCLGAY anytime, any fuckin day in any sport.

  • heres all i have to say to u yah prick ass northy. it doesn't matter who the fuck team you think is great. UCLA WOULD RUN ALL OVER THEM. Who gives a shit if our football sux, but we sure dominated in the past. We can beat whatever fuckin sport you can bring up, AND THATS FINAL. CAL DOESNT HAVE TRIPLE DIGIT NCAA TITLES DO THEY?? AND WHO THE FUCK CARES ABOUT RUGBY??? ITS A WHITE TRASH SPORT!

  • huh??? A white trash sport??? Where do you think football came from??? NOT AFRICA, you stupid asshole. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't almost all the sports in our American Collegiate system or sports period, created by the white man. Fuck I'm through talking to your dumb ass. I just wanted to argue but seems like you're too incompetent to argue with. Good day fucker

  • pause at 6 08 does that look out of "bonds" to u stupid? by the way gophers suck at sports

  • lol.....out of "bonds" hahaha

  • Wow, owned so bad

  • he was out of bonds bined the backbord is out of bonds the very next game for my Minnesota team i did that in the game and it was out of bords

  • youre right its out of bounds

  • HOLY SHIPP!!!!!!

  • lol hahaha. thats funny.

GO BRUINS! WE WILL BEAT THE VOLS!

  • thank u my fellow bruin fan. the bruins will not only beat the vols they will demolish them

  • well, we didnt exactly "demolish" them, but we put up a good fight and won! i knew in my soul we were gunna win that game b4 it even started. wat did u think about the win and where do u see ucla in the upcoming season?

  • I'm a fellow Bruin fan. I really don't think the Bruins will be too good at football but Rick Neuhisel was an awesome hire and the football program should come back to prominence. Let's Go Bruins!

  • the bruins may not b good at football this year, but in the next few years, we will be a top 10 team.....mark it.

  • Oh I believe it and I sure hope you're right!

  • it was a good game i thought kevin craft sucked at first but after he calmed down he was alright. i think we got a legit shot this season of ending as a ranked team and definately win a bowl game

  • that's legal.And about the turnover..it's supposed to be a foul..

  • that rule is bogus, if the ball is shot inbounds then it should be legal just another ncaa bogus rule.

  • Just a great play. However, you can see how stupid UCLA's ex-coach Steve Lavin is. On national television, he openly insults the entire UCLA program. "Bel Air Country Club, getting Rick Pitino in my job." So stupid, and just an insult to the entire UCLA program.

  • get a life lenvm shit...

    UCLA BABY~!

  • ucla owns westbrook collison and love 4 life bruins own all!!!

  • Actually shots behind the backboard are legal as long as they do not touch the backboard. On the other hand, passes from behind the backboard are illegal.

  • shots cant go over the backboard. regardless of whether or not they touch anything. its an ncaa rule not just something cal fans are screaming made up shit about

  • Read the rule. It clearly states if a ball passes over the backboard. Not shot over the backboard.

  • ya it was illegal, but it was an amazing shot. they deserved to win the game after that shot went in.

  • i hate lavin

  • that was such BS. Cal deserved to win that gams. Pac-10 refs blew another game. First that was an illegal shot and they hacked Ryan Anderson in order to get the ball in the first place.

  • rules are rules and that shot was illegal.

  • UCLA was the much better team, but Cal got jobbed by the refs on those last two calls. Of course that shot is illegal.

  • First of all, CAl didn't get jobbed on the last two calls. Anyone that thinks that is a dumb ass that listens to Lavins, worst coach in UCLA history who couldn't get a coaching job because of his record, and had to be a shitty announcer. Second, Who the hell would call that shot by Shipp illegal? It was LEGAL!!!!

  • Actually, you don't know the rule book, Hoisen. NCAA Rule 7, Section 1, Article 3 reads: ''The ball shall be out of bounds when it passes over the backboard from any direction.'' That wasn't an appropriate response to juicysteak.

  • Illegal my ass. Any team that would disallow that basket is a pansy-ass pathetic team and does not deserve to win anyway.

  • Behind the backboard shot...is illegal in the NCAA...or so I thought....

  • omfg .1 seconds

    ( . ) ( . )

  • I don't have a problem with the shot, but without a doubt that was a foul on the strip

  • OH MY GOD_____________

  • ya why do you think ucla got the W? the refs bitch

  • lol watch the whole game. there were plenty of fouls during the game that were questionable for both teams. seems like you could say that about every basketball game, hmm? tool.

  • ucla defeats cal 88-66 on 3.13.08

    = )

  • Cal got owned. They had a chance to pull away earlier in the game but UCLA just kept hanging in there. If Cal is any good, then they'll prove it when they rematch UCLA in the PAC-10 tourney. Even if the refs made some bad calls, the end result was that UCLA got the W and Cal got the L. So Cal fans, STOP BITCHING and live with it.

  • Generally it is not considered "owned" when you lead a team the whole game and they win by 1 point on an illegal shot set up by an intentional foul that isn't called. But you are correct. UCLA can show their mettle tonight. Should be a good game.

  • sorry, the guys names anderson. same thing

  • ok understand. the call on johnson was impossible for the refs to see (as steve lavin clearly said) it was covered and if a ref doesnt see a call he cant call it. as far as the backboard goes, everyone knows that the rule is a joke and shoud be changed because if a person is in bounds and shooting it should count. period. so stop wining

  • I'm watching the clip and Lavin clearly says "that is usually a foul every time!" What clip are you watching.

If the NCAA thought that shot should count they would have changed the rule.

  • Mother fug, another pussy whipped, juvenile, irresponsible whip, on a more literate, and more astute individual come uppance trip, if as well you could pull it off...and yes....look up astute you bottom of the bin licker...sheeeeet...you are a freakin moron man, and if you could hold your own, you'd be holding blanks buddy. take care. what a fricking idiot you are...now everyone will see your foolishness...dang fool !!! You got fugged up !!!

  • If NYC stands for New York Tone, then God forbid that this be true buddy, you are so UN-New York that you are truly Boston my pretty. Because we all know about the NEW nation little pike.!!! Just get over your cheap little self and render yourself a mundane brutality of human sack and know that you fall under the radar of cool and make your waves towards impunity...and once again...look up these words, because I definitely know you are an illiterate bastage

  • Did someone forget to take their meds today?

  • Exactly as I thought. You have nothing to say as usual nor a valid comeback. Take care Mr. Lethargic. Oh sorry...you may have to look that word up as well. I am done with you.

  • Your father was a hamster and your mother smelled of elderberry.

  • Oh yeah, and about the refs giving the game to UCLA? How about that gift to Cal of .7 seconds back on the clock? That was complete BS... Shipp batted that ball well into the air, taking lots of time off the clock. Cal had a chance to overcome at the end, but didn't. Just like Stanford couldn't hold on in overtime, Cal couldn't convert a critical last shot.

  • It's a technical foul to purposely punch a ball - so the Bears should have gotten a free throw and possession. It's ludicrous to imply that the refs gave Cal a break by putting .7 secs back on the clock. Get real.

  • Just as it's ludicrous to imply that the refs gave UCLA a break by intentionally blowing the call. The refs made a mistake. Had you watched THE ENTIRE GAME (as I did, being there in Pauley), you'd know that the refs made lots of mistakes, most against UCLA. Cal got PLENTY of breaks, and still couldn't win.

  • If that makes you feel better, than by all means keep on believing it

  • I will. And I now have evidence. UCLA plays Cal at home, and wins (barely) by 1. But put them on a neutral court, and UCLA throttles them 88-66. I think this makes it fairly clear who had the refs' favor during the game at Pauley...

    Go Bruins!

  • Everybody who watched the game knows that almost every questionable call, save for those at the end, went against UCLA. They just got lucky the refs blew this one in their favor. A quote from Cal's coach: "If those calls happen anywhere other than at the end of the game, you don't remember them. They're a fine team. They can win without the benefit of a call or without the benefit of any help. Take those calls away, they've earned it."

  • Everybody? You mean everybody rooting for UCLA. Your Bruins got a gift - give it up.

  • refs: "oh its illegal to shoot from behind the backboard? oh well we didnt see it. Well we saw it but it just went over the corner... not the same thing... okay okay it did go over the back board but that rule was just invented so teams could not have the advantage. We dont want Ucla to loose theyre low see... I mean.. Dont question our decision!"

  • Cal's Anderson got steamrolled in the corner. Only the most biased UCLA fan could fail to see that. The record book lies.

  • Cal player was tackled on the out of bounds play.

Unless we're playing rugby it's usually called a foul.

  • putting your hand on someones back when they're hunched over isnt a foul. and if you watch you can see andersons hand knock the ball out as he tries to recover.

  • This is a tribute to Ben Howland, whose teams never quit. Never!

  • Hey I made a video response about this game watch and tell me what you think

  • he had no control of the ball and when you look at another angle theres no way the offical can call it a foul. blame the refs for the loss of the game... thats retarded, stanford did it to themselves. how do you blow a 11 point lead with 4 minutes? Thats their own fault. Cal, the refs sucked the whole game so dont complain. Not UCLA's fault that they can actually come back from a deficit.

  • Look, say what you will about the bad calls at the end of these last two games. You can't deny that those were the only bad calls in the entire game. I can think of a few instances in each game where questionable calls took possession away from UCLA, thereby preventing us from putting up more points. Give us our points from those bad calls, take away the two points at the end of these last two games, and UCLA still wins.

If Cal & Stanford deserved to win those games, they would've. But no.

  • Anderson had no control of the ball. No foul. Cal loses, go cry about it.

  • um; foul on the inbounds at 15second

  • I posted a video on the end of this game watch it and tell me what you think..

  • Argh...heartbreaking loss, just like the football game in '05. We were up the whole game, then they pulled a fake punt and Maurice Jones-Drew scored the go-ahead TD. I hate the Baby 'Ruins.

  • I posted a video on the end of this game watch it and tell me what you think..

  • you have to see the video from the refs angle to tell what realy happened

  • The refs stole the game for UCLA

  • Dude that steal was BS. No foul call, your kidding. They pretty much raped him and they don't call a foul. That's ridiculous. I'm not a UCLA or Cal fan but this game shouldn't have ended the way it did.

  • Cal fans cry like Shipp was behind the backboard shooting (or out of bounds)... he took an off balance shot that questionably arched over and near the corner of the backboard. Awesome shot! That's a no-call ... especially for the home team ... especially against a team that fell apart and blew a 10+ point lead.

  • because the refs made it happen...asswipe.

    Typical LA bullshit!

  • pshh...bullshit my ass!!!

  • Just posted a video about my thoughts on this game watch and tell me what u think

  • no one cares what you think!!!

  • Boy I hate to mention USC in the same posting but a player named Dwight Anderson who transferred from Kentucky in the late 1970s made a shot at the Sports Arena running a ball down spinning 180 degrees and launched it over the back of the board and it went in. Wish I could get that on YouTube but I think a rule was put in after that shot the disallowed future shots of that type. Anybody got it? Hey I'm a lifelong Bruin fan now living in Memphis.....Go figure!

  • UCLA blows! Try and play a game outside of your own state in the tourney and let me know how you do...same for USC football. It's all unbalanced and a joke!

  • USC football? u gotta be kidding me. They are one of the few teams that actually plays anybody difficult. Next year they play Ohio State, Virginia, and Notre Dame out of conference. Ur an idiot. 2 of those on the road, plus the only conference in the country that you have to play everyone, and basketball is 2x each. So shut the hell up.

  • Notre Dame? hahaha

  • Notre Dame? hahaha

  • what the fuck are you talking about?? they play in the pac-10.. aka the hardest conference in the nation. i would like to see memphis play a ranked team, besides tennesse. who the fuck have they played?? and for north carolina, they have a soft schedule. ucla has played 5 teams that wer in the top 10 once this season. why did they go to a final 4 the last 2 years? they lost to texas by 1, but they didnt have darren collison. who has won the most championships? they r tha #1 team in the country.

  • smoothlexus3

ok i will let you know-

    historically - 11 Championships (100 all sports)

today - back to back final fours

we do better playing out of the state as is evident by our tourney record

  • I just posted a video on my thoughts about this game watch it and tell me what u think....

  • Hat off to both Stanford and Cal for giving us great games (Go PAC 10) maybe they can finally bond over their tough losses to the Mighty Bruins

  • Bottom line: there are good calls and bad calls throughout a game and against each team. The team that DESERVES the W is the one who has the most points after the last good/bad call is called and time expires. If Stanford or Cal could have beat UCLA they would have. A team better than UCLA would have protected the ball, a team better than UCLA would have won in overtime.

  • sooooo awesome

  • UCLA -- PERFECT timing: Stanford: refs learn lesson and implement it against UCLA's next opponent, lets hope whoever plays UCLA in the PAC 10 Championship either shoots over the glass or rushes the court with time left so the refs can redeem themselves to UCLA's advantage

  • knowing UCLA would foul, anderson should have attacked that ball, brought it into his chest and held on for life, thus forcing the foul to be obvious -- a learning experience for him

  • learn the rules people, the backboard is in bounds...the ball is not out of bounds if it goes over it as long as it doesn't hit the back of the backboard... it could have bounced off the top of the backboard and went in and counted. The no-call.... well tough to call if nobody sees contact.

  • Mr. qq1868,

    Lets learn together:

Rule 7, Section 1, Article 3 of the 2008 NCAA basketball rules, "The ball shall be out of bounds when it passes the backboard from any direction."

    -DH

    UCLA alumnus
