@jamensch yuri is a fantastic singer and guitar player. he performs the song much in the way it was performed in yiddish theater. though i LOVE patinkin normally, i found his renditions of the yiddish songs far too schmaltzy (an uncommon sin with him, honestly).

This version loses the feeling of he lyrics.
Mandy Patimkin has a good rendition on his CD "Mameloshen". Zully Goldfarbs version is good but her cleavage is distracting.
