His grandmothers mother or father was half white. If they kept it "pure" afterward his grandmother or grandfather would be 75% Native or three quarters.
His mother of father would be 87% Native or seven eighths and he would be 94% Native or fifteen sixteenths. (because you can't halve 15 without a decimal)
The sad part about it is that what the Sheriff says is true. The Navajo Nation is not self-sufficient.
