Film based in Afghanistan, nice Arabic tones in this track.
Think they both go a bit mental in this video with the Sufi like head banging. Not to keen with the change to Manisha's costume, from Arab influence clothing to Indian then to a Beach wear Sarong!.
i love this song so much. Intensity between both Manisha and Shahrukh Khan is amazing. & gotta admit, being a sonu nigam fan, this is one song I can never ever get enough off! <3
I remember being little and thinking it was so cool that she wore 7 colours in the song, and it was called "satrangi re". Also, playing Dil Se songs while doing school work is a BAD idea, since for every song, I can't help but watch the video with it.
I like her twisties ;) When she's in the Red outfit. I used to do twisties in my hair, my sister's & the girls in the neighborhood, too! It was a great way to make a couple bucks when you're broke AND the girls got to look pretty, too, win-win for both of us girls ;)
Dil Se is not listed amongst SRK's best movies but you will be hard pressed to find a better soundtrack.. Ae ajnabi, Chaiyya chaiyya, and Satrangi Re are top notch songs. I have no idea why this movie didn't get the recognition it deserved.
Because this film portrayed the indian army in an extremely negative light and the jignostic indian public found it offensive. Also Srk and Manisha's love story didnt invovle them prancing around trees, or being star crossed lovers like typical bollywood crappy films. But this film is always listed as one of srk's best movies and performances...wished srk collaborated with mani ratnam alot often!
I love the part 2:33 with Manisha in that yellow indian costume dancing with Shah Rukh and especially that burning tree....very beautiful...for me,the burning tree indicates that ''My love and passion for you is burning in my soul like a fire,my love''
looks very different from other typical bollywood dancing scenes - like some sort of modern dance, very expressive and haunting, also a great scenery - I like it a lot how srk interacts with his partner and really need to see the movie :)

@ShutTheHellUpNavi im sure like the pure/wonderful love stories, this restrain only happens in movies of bollywood but not in real india. Wish it did.

This was a great non-Bollywood movie from Bollywood. Great script (usually a rarity these days), realistic scenes - and a believable ending. Kudos ... goes to show intelligentia lives.
@superthanda watch the film he is the government military spy and the hot indo chinese nepalese girl is kashmiri terrorist, this was released when india and pakistan was about to go to war in 1999 over kashmir, please learn context when you talk about indian stuff. i know you hate us and stuff in american uk uae wheever ur from xxxo kuthi
@lytinin Seriously r u talking abt DilSe??? .. I feel u havnt understood the film eventhough u watch it. Dil se is not related to India-Pakistan or Kashmir conflict. It is abt conflict in Indias North-East. I think ULFA is the organisation in Manirathnams mind. I dont remember anywhere in the movie mentions Sharukh as a spy..he is a AIR program executive (may be I am wrong I saw this movie before 10 years). DilSe released almost an year before Kargil War (1998).
