This is Ken Hensley singing. I can understand how people mistakenly believe it is Byron because the two sounded very similar when they were singing softly. Byron had the better voice but Hensley was (and still is) a very good lead singer. Listen to the beginning of Fortune, Hensley's recording of Rain, Through the Eyes of Child, I Did it All etc. and any true Heep/Hensley/Byron fan will acknowledge that this is Hensley singing.
I've been listening to Uriah Heep since 1975. As well as Dave's and Ken's solo albums. Through and through. This is most definitely David Byron singing. The high vibrato notes are unmistakable.
Nice song. The body of Uriah Heep's songs as a whole, truly distinguish them as one of the best ever in terms of lyricism , vocal harmonies, musical styles and musicianship,. They can play hard, soft, ballads, mystical, pop, progressive, blues, and theme based albums better than any band out there.
well i confirmed that david sings easy road, im pretty sure he sings this too. ken has a lower octive, and sings falt with out the shakeiness david used. either way this song is bad ass and who ever decided to leave it off the album ( unless a member of heep) should be tied up and have small stones thrwon at them for 15 minutes, this song is beautiful and now that i found its like finding a new heep song. word.
@stupididiot13, no, it is David Byron, who sings the song. I thought from the beginning that it was Ken, but it is not he, if you listen to the song before you hear that the Byron is David speaking. :)
@daanielssson No, Hensley is speaking and singing. Trust me. Listen to Live when Hensley introduces July Morning. It's Ken. (David's vocal would've sounded a tad fuller)
Yes this is deffinately David on vocal.. his voice can never be mistaken for anyone else... he was a awesome singer :) thank you 'thorin1917' for posting this
Actually it is both of 'em. Ken does the first part, then David takes over.

David Byron is the gratest singer ever!
I love him!
btw, I have one pillow, 3 pictures on my wall, 3 videos and 2 t-shirts with David Byron and Uriah Heep (byron years).
rest in peace David Byron and Gary Thain!

@daanielssson Notwithstanding Ken Hensley's song writing abilities,
David Byron and Gary Thain carried the band on stage and in the studio.

I'm not really interested into arguing with people who can't stand their own statements and then delete them after I put up my answer.:(
Also, I'm not interested into someone diffaming me without reason as a human being, while this person doesn't know ME at all.
Why are we here?? We both are here because we are Uriah Heep fans, right? So why you attacked me that harsh?
If you're interstested arguing with me in a less aggressive manner, you're welcome. Otherwise, you can kiss mine, too.
