  • wow those taurus revolvers are pieces of shit.

  • Most of burned and batter likely because of hand and bag placement.

Significant flash on that shot too, did the previous shots bullet leave the barrel?

  • Comment removed

  • How did I know it was gonna be a Taurus before I clicked on the video?

I'm not saying Taurus is inherently bad or anything, but I much prefer Smith & Wesson to be honest. Aside from the two shotting with the .500 magnum I've never heard of or had any problems with good old S&W.

  • squib?

  • i guess that you have a snub nose revolver now huh

  • That's why you wear eye protection when you shoot.

  • @lmno456 That's for damn sure.

  • fucking ding dong is looking right at a loaded gun with finger on trigger....at least it would be a quick kill with the .357 he would not feel a thing.

  • Talk about a snub-nosed .357!

  • Hey Taurus bashers check out ballisticsukltd's exploding 44 mag chamber video. The 44 mag is a Colt for crying out loud. Even high priced pieces are not immune to bad ammo or poor care. I would like to see the round fired in this video jsut before the explosion, 10 to 1 it was was underpowered and left a bullet in the barrel.

  • @mwilson70201 I agree. Look at that flash coming out between the cylinder and the barrel. Looks like a bullet stuck in the barrel to me.

  • If you look hard enough, you can see a lawsuit at around :18.

  • three word its a Taurus. Piece of crap.

  • Fuckin' junk...get a Smith & Wesson.

  • and then he looks down whats left of the barrel

  • If the bullet won't kill them...throw the barrel at them...!!! LOL

  • my chl instructor says to always make sure when buying a revolver chambered in 357 magnum, to make sure that it is in fact chambered in 357 magnum and not 38 special. Possibly the range personel gave you a gun chambered in 38. You can fire a 38 in a 357, but not the other way around.

  • my perdiction is that the barrel was off point just a bit

  • My gun did almost the same thing! Guess you are ok? sub 2U :- )

  • I think that the problem was the threads, either on the bbl or on the frame. If they were improperly cut, their would not be enough engagement between the bbl and the frame to withstand to force of the bullet going down the bbl.

It doesn't seem to be excessive pressure. Neither the cylinder nor the frame appear to have been damaged.

  • if this gun was made in china there would be lots of fucking racist comments on this video

  • @cronus6282 I beg to differ. I don't think people would be racist merely due to country of origin of a particular firearm, especially China. I am sure the gooks could make a decent firearm if they really tried

  • @hgmc828 why call them gooks?

  • @hgmc828 nothing wrong with chinese firearms, people think they are shit because of all the other cheap shit coming out of china, they produce some fine weapons

actually the only thing I'd want from china would be a weapon, everything else is garbage

  • Bullet not sized before jacket sweddging. Or lead bullet not sized before lubed. it can happen. Put a . 359 bullet in a 357 bbl and you may get a kaboom.

  • now its a snub with no nose this is what happens when you don't maintain your gun and close in speck it

  • Comment removed

  • ahahahaah

  • nice snub nose

  • the range does their own reloads

  • maybe the load was too "heavy"

  • i think the cylinder catch was pretty off

and the bullet hit the barrel wall

  • Maybe next time don’t stop the cylinder from doing its job by obstructing it like that? A poor craftsman blames his tools.

  • People say judge has same quality?

Are the gun recievers cast or cut from steel plate?

  • NEVER BUY MAG TEC! I REPEAT! NEVER BUY MAG TEC! I HAVE HAD SIX ROUNDS OUT OF FOUR SEPARATE BOXES SPLIT THE BRASS IN HALF. IF I WASN'T USING MY RUGER MY CYLINDER WOULD HAVE SPLIT. THE BULLETS ALSO SEPARATED BEFORE THE BARREL AND THE RANGE PULLED ALL THE AMMO FOR ALL CALIBERS!

  • Lol, this guy is retarded. A gun without a barrel doesn't make it non-funtional. The first thing he does is turn the gun around and point it at himself lol.

  • @TheL4dgamer Probably shocked, but yeah, i winced a bit when I saw that as well. At least he remembered and turned it around again :).

  • LoL! Probably that magnum was made in China!

  • @sasuke172533 Actually, the Chinese make pretty good guns. The Brazilians on the other hand..... Not so much.

  • @Redmanfms these Taurus are Built on the United States of America... sort of "prodly"...

  • @rycherisingg Nice try, but Taurus doesn't build revolvers in the U.S.

  • @rycherisingg Not really. Their made in Brazil.

  • @sasuke172533 You Moron

  • @javelinablanco

    Thanks

  • duct tape will fix that

  • Its the new ballistics knife

  • Insta-snub nose

  • You had a squib and kept shooting anyways. You were lucky.

  • FAKE! that doesn't happen in cod..

  • anyone wanna buy my Judge? i think i'm done with Taurus

  • and thats how compact pistols are made xD

  • does the gun stil work?

  • was this a hang fire and then he advanced the barrel?

  • That's good - wave the still-loaded handgun around. There are times I see things at ranges that make me want to pop people up side their empty gourd.

  • well, now you have a new gun- snub nose revolver?

  • no fire cam out of the barrel, somehow it must a been blocked. Sqib load perhaps.

  • @supressorgrid I agree. At 0:31 you can see all the powder flame shooting out/back from the cylinder gap, but nothing from the muzzle. Inspection after this incident should have shown at least one (probably two) bullets stuck in the bore, and maybe a bulged barrel. WAVELENGTH, did you guys find a bore obstruction after you started breathing again?

  • @FLSHBK1 We were so freaked out, and so busy watching the video in the camera we never saw the barrel after the range guy retrieved it.

  • @FLSHBK1 Got to agree with you guys.Bore obstruction.I think Taurus has a lifetime warranty, but I wonder if that includes a plug in the barrel?

  • Good thing no one was injured... and it was a rental. I know some ranges don't care as good care of them as they should

  • Sawn off Revolver.

  • obviously, what did you expect? its a taurus.

  • i dont think thats something that your local gun smith can fix :D

  • Haha. Was I the only one who noticed him point a loaded .357 back towards the camera man? Dumbass!!!

  • When a revolver wears out, as it was a used up rental, they tend to lose cylinder timing that always ends up in catastrophic failure. If you own any revolver and notice any problems have it fixed before firing.

  • musta been shooting +p

  • WOO! Instant snub-nosed!

  • Lucky dumb sonofabitch....

  • Gotta love those rental guns

  • Holy shit.

  • @cpfan1234 im still lmao!

  • @peacebreaker56 How exactly do you put a "bigger bullet" into a revolver?

  • @wavelength1970 i agree with u...peacemaker is an idiot...

  • @wavelength1970 Lol, rechamber it apparently.

  • @wavelength1970 with a drill

  • @wavelength1970

There are ways....with .38/357 being same, and 22lr/22wmr being the same. hand loading and high presure loads are a whole new can of worms.... "bigger calibur" no, but more/too powerfull yes

  • @dreamthinker79

you cant fire a .357 through a .38, or a .22 win. mag. through a .22 lr. in a revolver the chambers are not long enough. You alson misspelled "caliber" and "powerful"...j/s

  • @The350s10

don't under estimate the inginuity of the common idiot

  • @dreamthinker79

That's true I guess WD-40 and a hammer will take you places lol.

  • @wavelength1970 clearly he doesn't know anything about revolvers.

  • @peacebreaker56 SERIOUSLY dumbest comment ever..."he put a bigger bullet in a revolver" really??? what an idiot...u have no clue what ur talking about...so please do us all a favor and remove your stupid comment...

  • @peacebreaker56 Dumbass.

  • @peacebreaker56 You sir, are an idiot.

  • @peacebreaker56 you joking, rite?

  • @peacebreaker56

    Obvious troll is obvious...

  • @peacebreaker56 The Chamber is exactly mesured to fit a 44.mag

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

  • That's what you get when you shoot a Taurus.

  • Congratulations, free of cost you now have a snub nose revolver in .357 caliber.

  • Rental gun?

Someone probably dropped it and messed up the timing.

  • Taurus used to have some real poor quality control, they still are not as finely crafted as SW or Ruger Revolvers but this certainly was due to a defective round. I was nearly killed by some defective 44 PMC rounds. Really, I was nearly shot by a double tap occuring on someones shoulder from recoil.

  • That would piss me off

  • I'll stick with my Ruger GP100. lol

  • @mnyshrpknvs

Seen this happen with rugers too

  • @UDoneGoofed2011 I'll bet not even close to the same amount of issue with the Rugers, S&W or Colts. I have over 1000 rounds of HOT loaded 357 mags through my GP100, and not one lick of problems. I have a buddy who hunts with a Blackhawk and a Super Redhawk, and has done so for many, many years. He has never had any issues with his Ruger Revolvers. Of course, I've only been shooting for 33 years, so what do I know. lol

  • @UDoneGoofed2011

    BULLSHIT

  • I'm going to contact Taurus right away to see if they can get me a catalog number for their "357 takedown model" I saw on youtube. When they email back wondering what I'm talking about, I'll send them a link.

  • Three little words that could have prevented this:

    Smith and Wesson.

Taurus makes for lots of comedy, though.

Good save by the cameraman by the way, keeping the muzzle downrange.

  • Whoopsie.

  • So what did the range officers say when you showed them it?

  • @Migs4000 They said and I quote "it happens"

  • @wavelength1970

    Well...you were shooting a Taurus =P

  • @wavelength1970 It happens LOL, wow that's bad.

  • was that a tracker?

  • too much charge in the load

  • the way he looks at it -.- mmm might get a refund

  • Fuck all you Taurus hating fags! I've got their 357 six-shooter,and the PT140 Pro.

Both are great guns, and I trust my life with them both!

Although they are fixing a broken take-down-pin on the PT-140, they are doing it for free!

  • HA and i wanted to get a taurus gun....thiiiink ill stick to kimber instead lol

  • I can't stop laughing LOOOOOL

  • smith and wesson vs taurus smith and wesson wins just because of this video....

  • I had 3 taurus handguns and all 3 had major problems. Never again.

  • hmmm....no sir, doesn't look safe...no, sir

  • i have a model 66 357 taurus made in 1993 stainless steel it has had thousands of round shot through it with out any failures... this can happen to any weapon if not properly cared for.

  • i will now never buy a taurus.

  • built in balistic knife or tomahawk, your choice. BTW that ha to have been set up before.

  • @ben191209 This was not set up! Just a beat to heck rental gun

  • Comment removed

  • @ben191209 WTF are you talking about? built in tomahawk or balistic knife this aint cod because how the fuck is a ax or balistic knife going to fix in a fucking gun? and were are you going to get a balistic knife because there illeagle in the us.

  • @ben191209 Yea, I'm sure he purposely made the gun explode in his hand just for Youtube...

  • i hear i was wondering whether to get a .357 Ruger or Taurus. Now I have an answer, GP100 here i come. BTW good to hear the shooter had all his fingers, shooting accidents suck.

  • And that's why my 357 is a S and W.

  • The blast out the back does look like and obstruction but the bag wasn't enough to sufficiently block the barrel....

  • snub nose

  • looks like an obstruction, and it looks like the shooter knew

  • @sheepfinger I assure you, this was not staged...we still have the rest of the box of magtech ammo, and are afraid to shoot it! lol

  • @sheepfinger I am curious how you came to this conclusion. Could you elaborate further?

  • @cpfan1234 LOL

  • that's nasty.

  • @cpfan1234 mini snub. haha

  • How old is this gun? There is something call out of time. I'm sure many of you revolver shooters know of the fact that in time, after shooting a revolver, the cylinder chambers will not align with the barrel. This could be an explanation fir what we see in this video.

  • The bag did indeed block the gasses...not a gun issue.

  • @K9ProSportUSAdotcom You can't be serious...

  • @wavelength1970 he is serious...just look at the video

  • @ACMan5000 So the "gasses" did no damage to the sandbag or the shooters fingers, but removed a steel barrel from a revolver? come on now...

  • @K9ProSportUSAdotcom Oh it's a gun issue alright, you can clearly see the cylinder is not blocked. And even if it was a quality barrel would not cato like that.

  • @MrBigbadjeff Do you know what grade of steel they use for their barrels? If not why even comment about the quality of it?

  • my taurus .38 has had no problems just for the record

  • This is why we don't buy Taurus people!

  • @bmacAK47 : I have a Taurus and several friends that have had Taurus revolvers and pistols for many years, and we all think very highly of them. They are a great company, and great quality as far as I have seen; They also offer lifetime warranties. Seems like this was just a freak accident, and I agree with garbenji78. Don't rest your barrel on a bag like that; could have had something to do with it.

  • It could have been the bag blocking the gases from escaping through the sides.Mythbusters did something similar. Maybe!!

  • @garbenji78 i believe that was about a guy holding a 500 s&w wrong and getting his thumb removed.

  • I'm from Brazil, and let me tell you:

    TAURUS AND MAGTECH SUCKS!!!!!!!!

  • Kudos to whomever pointed the gun back downrange at 0:26. Even without a barrel, had another round lit off somehow, it could have been bad. Very happy to hear to one was seriously injured!

Is Taurus going to replace the gun?

  • @g8rsound That would be me who pointed the..um..muzzle? back downrange...it was a rental gun, I don't know if Taurus replaced it or not

  • @wavelength1970 Well, I am glad no one came to harm from this. Good job and thanks for sharing.

  • You may not realize it but at least the barrel gave way and the cylinder didn't fly apart taking part of your hand with it.

  • free snub conversion

  • shoulda got a Dan wesson :>

  • Dammm? I'm sticking to a BB gun!

  • @JoveeKovee lol

  • is it taurus????so it is not on the manufacturer that depends when ur buying a gun???all kind, whereever it is made of,all are prone to malfunction,jam,etc..........

  • @aliksasalong True, but some companies put out a consistanty better product than others. Right now the only games in town for revolvers are Ruger and Smith and Wesson. Yes, they're more expensive than Taurus, but you get what you pay for.

  • key word being TAURUS

  • He forgot to include the barrel drop in his calculation, he only calculated the bullet drop.

  • tommahawk!!!!!

  • is this the equivalent of a semi auto "kaboom"? the ammo looked defective...bullet seated? crazy high pressures? what caused this?

  • wow what a lump of shit of a gun

  • lucky you didn't lose a finger! NEVER PUT YOUR HAND ON THE SIDE OF A REVOLVER!!! shooting 101

  • @richardjburke unless its a nagant revolver, and then your in the clear. shooting 102.

  • @squat224 whats nagant?

  • @richardjburke A Russian WW1-WW2 era revolver with a sliding cylinder that closed off the gap when fired

  • that guy is very lucky.

  • Taurus is GARBAGE get a S&W

  • @thatguyin91105 Taurus was making some real garbage guns in the 1980's and early 1990's they're still no where near quality of the other major manufacturers but they have improved significantly. It's pretty obvious that ammunition was defective, you can see from the blast pattern. It's like it was loaded with 3x the amount of powder needed in a .357. I had a box of 44 ammo that was defective, I shot it all, but I risked the same thing happening to my model 29 S&W.

  • Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand that's why i buy S&W.

  • @Privat3Kag3 I prefer S&W as well, but there are also video's on YouTube of S&W Bombs.

  • @Delticola I don't Doubt it, But Just stickin' with what I know Work's N' Stay's Workin' (As long as you maintain it).

  • @Nizzan540 its funny you say that look up black hawk 44 broken or blown up its a smith & wesson they cost like $600 or more Taurus has gotten better people just dont know how to take care of guns not saying this guy didn't could of been poor ammo or extra grain ammo or shooting too much high grain ammo in a hour period of time when it comes to defense 6 is enough to take down the problem on any gun 357 32 38 380 9mm 40.cal 45 .acp etc..

  • no he has a .357 snub nose lol

  • why would this guy need a pistol rest for a .357 magnum?

  • I really don't like Taurus'. Smith and Wesson is the way to go.

  • and thats how you trun along barel into a snub nose lol

  • I'm sure others have seen there is no muzzle blast. I'm not defending Taurus, but something was obstructing the barrel. This is most likely an ammo issue and not a gun issue.

  • Okay, i see a comment with this already.. but "Made In China" :D

  • @blackopstrikshotz

Taurus revolvers and pistols are made in brazil
