The reason UMass is always so clean is because Thom hears literally EVERY SINGLE TICK he can hear ticks that even like section leaders of World Class drum corps wouldn't hear.

I was at their perfermence in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and it was awesome. My school's drumline crapped their pants. It was great.

The part after the infamous introduction (at bar 6) was written by Colin McNutt for BAC in 1992. It's a little different now. I marched snare at UMASS in 92 and almost marched BAC in 93. Stupidly I didn't continue.

I've watched many college drumlines and I have told many people: the UMass drumline is the best collegiate drumline in the nation. Not that there aren't a lot of really good ones out there (Yo, Western Carolina!); some may equal, but none better.

@littlefield19 Actually.... Riverside Community college is the best in the nation.... hands down.... and western carolina? buwhahahahaha... doesnt even belong in the same league as RCC and UMASS.... RCC is all blue devils, UMASS is Thom Hannum, Cadets, BC, etc.

I personally liked the rock groove from last years cadence more. Although the first part of it I like better. It's still an incredible cadence none the less.

@meepshizzleyams The candence at UMass is always evolving. It has certain themse that stay more or less unchanged and the overall format has been the same since about 94ish. Each year that years line makes the street beat their own while staying true to the old school.
