@doubleuarex can you please ansver in little more detail? may I ask what is making them so much better? a strat is a very simple guitar configuration, in a nutshell, it's just 2 pieces of woods bolted together, I guess the woods are identical on both Fenders and Tom Andersons guitars? alder body and a maple neck? so what remains that can be so superior? electonics? pickups? tuners?

I agree they are very good guitars and very beutiful, more so than Fender guitars but overpriced

@satjathamma Tiny team, low production numbers, INCREDIBLE attention to detail, the awesome wedge neck joint (look up a pic of Tom Anderson doing pullups on a TAG), maybe the best frets in the biz, hand applied finishes, each guitar passes through Tom's own two hands for final set-up and check, each guitar is custom made to order (literally WHATEVER you want), the most amazing pickups for any output level tone you want, utmost quality control, I don't know, You should just call Tom.

I bought mine with Duncans in it ('59 neck/ Custom 5 bridge). I like the '59, but not the Custom 5. I wonder if I would prefer the stock pickups, since I like vintage-type tone.

How do you like your Swamp Ash Special? That's another guitar I would like to try.

I think it doesn´t will work with hardrock, these guitars are pretty cool for Rock, Fusion, Jazz and these stuff, take an Ibanez guitar, that will work better then an Anderson

Beautiful tone, imho. I think Tom Anderson is about as good as it gets. Suhr and a few others might give him a run for his money, but it don't get "much better" than Anderson Guitarworks.

I'm lucky to own an 89' Tom Anderson 'Grand Am Lam'... now called a 'Drop Top'... I bought mine in 92'... the most stunning guitar I have ever played... it's still my main guitar now and yet to play a guitar that comes close to how it feels and sounds.

I really like your style. Very expressive and artistic. Tom Anderson guitars used to rule for almost 2 decades in the market. Simply fantastic! BUT I heard that this NEW TA guitars (with the 2-bolt neck plate) do not meet the quality of the early ones. The quality of the frets has changed, the same with the woods, the nut and the metals for the Bridge. That is what I heard as I was ready to order a TA. Do you know if that is really true?

Don't believe that they are cutting corners. I talk to Roy alot and nothing has changed. Tom came up with the two bolt thing because he is constantly trying to improve and innovate. Everything is still great! I have an artist endorsement so I get the inside view.

It is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. The new 2 bolt neck is amazing and is more solid than an older 4 bolt design. The frets are the same as they were before, they still use the same wood supplier and grade things the same way. The nut material is the same...they did change bridges but there is no diff in stability b/w my older ones and the newer ones I own.

Whoever you heard all of that from needs to think before they speak.
