Dude, that's a gorgeous collection you have there, I'm so jealous! If I owned that Mitchell I'd marry it, it's beautiful. Thanks for posting, great vid'!!
I am in a rural part of the US, so it started with Ebay. Then, I got to know folks who had collections of stuff and made lots of offers and relatively a few deals. Much of this great gear is just not highly valued any more.
@nathanielscott I have a McAllisyer dolly just like yours can you post some more pictures or video of that baby and I have some more questions about the hydraulics the compressor and stuff that maybe you can answer and or send me in the right direction please let me know
How much would you charge for a total of 10 minutes of 35mm film footage? I will need it developed and transfered to minDV. How much would that be aprox.?
I like the part where a whole garage worth of film gear is shown, while a badly tuned guitar plays in the background, then another track of guitar noodling plays over the first.
Wow! Your garage seems to be the closest thing to Heaven on Earth! Out of curiosity, does your offer for free rental and "I work for food!" crew still apply? Also, do you have any digital equipment or are you still all film?
Yup, I purchased nearly all of it the rest was given to me because it was not in operable condition. Much of the stuff I purchased was not in operable condition which is why I paid very little for it. However, all of it works now. If I can't get a piece of equipment to work it gets sold or scrapped, Usually scrapped.
And the surprise is that I paid less for my pile than many prosumer videographers pay for their rigs.
Sorry no, well it depends on what you are willing to pay for it of course, but I have shot enough stuff with it that I would ask a price higher than you could get one on ebay for.
Now, that's a bunch of old camera gear.
