I just saw a video of the bell ringing of the tower the bells dont move is it eletronocally to where the clappers move inside the bell,,it looks as if at one time the bells did move,,so is the tower now used kinda of like a CLOCK and the bells ring at certian times,,when was eletric put into it,are the bells the oringal bells of the tower,,what was the reason for eletric bells,,and wouldnt the heavy bells of the tower contribute to the leaning,, beacuse of the extra weight

The foundation of the tower itself was not bad, but the soil underneath the tower was. This caused the tower to lean, in its now famous way.
