  • An amazing performance in Ottawa last night. I won't pretend to understand it all but I was moved. I see a painting in my future.

  • I didn't know a thing about Akram Khan and about the show. I really don't know why I bought the tickets, first hand. So I entered the theater in a "cold" state of mind. I don't want to talk about it. Anyway... it's more to feel than to talk, here. The idea is...

  • I was transformed. I left the theater with a warm, pulsating soul. What a splendor! A dance able to speak, to create emotions. Free of rules (classical ballet is just beautiful, esthetically - it can't burst in flames and feelings like that) the movements, the bodies and the lights of this show are ripping off any kind of ice from a soul. Purity of movements, like dervishes spins, I felt I was fighting demons and making love same time. Thank you!

  • This video went viral on New Hampshire

  • Thanks a lot :) I work in a theater, I saw a lot of performance but this one was the best that i've seen in my life. I was nearly to cry, for the first time i was really transported, i was not in the theatre anymore, not even on the earth, i was somewhere else. I will be there for the next performance and i hope refund this same great feeling....Thank you so much ;)

Extraordinaire. A la sortie, je pleurais. Merci pour ce merveilleux moment. Merci.

  • Fantástico!

  • does anyone know the name of the thing they are wearing?

  • was great meeting this guy... :P

  • My husband, my sister-in-law and another friend were among the audeince members. The show was completely fantastic!

  • An hour left to curtains... Looking forward to tonights show in Umeå, northern Sweden.

  • I saw them yesterday In Marseille (France) just awesome and incredible!

So intense, and vibrating. Very profond and immersive.

    <3

  • Saw it 2 hours ago in Lodz/Poland! Outstanding!!

  • A wonderful performance.

Does anybodky know where I can find music from this?

  • Saw it yesterday in Dresden - and must say the same!

  • Saw it yesterday in Frankfurt - amazing! Such an archaic powerful production... eight small dancers tell you the world and the universe... the first 20 minutes were the most beautiful stage thing I ever saw... and the others were right... it gaves me the creeps and tears in the eyes for beauty and splendour...

  • enormous effort :) well done

  • I was on this performance yesterday in Abu Dhabi. Something amazing . Thank you Akram

  • I have seen this show in Amsterdam last week. It's really beautifull and moving!

  • Vertical Road is a piece that moved me so deeply. It had a profound effect on me and it's images are still deeply engrained within my mind. Before the performance began i had a group of people sitting near me who were chatting one said "Oh, is this contemporary dance? Wake me up if i fall asleep". After the performance that woman was sitting there with tears falling from her face and could only utter the words "Amazing, Beautiful" to her friends..

  • love it...

a new step, for dance... New movement and a deep dramaturgie...

    Thanks....

  • I saw it last week, and found it very good. On a par with zero degrees and foi(sidi larbi)

  • My friend cried after watching Bambi. She was 4 years old, but this doesnt validate Bambi as neither emotional or high art that warrants such a level of Public subsidy.

I too cried watching this. Cried from knowing how much money gets pumped into this company each year from Public money, whilst other much more interesting artists are obstructed from getting funding by an elitist 'old guard'. @ Much7 -The reason this is the most beautiful things uve seen, is cause its all they want you to see.

  • @dantheoriginator if the powers that be spent less on nuclear weapons, then maybe you would get some public money and not be so cynical.

  • @dantheoriginator

    Aren't you jalous ?

  • i nearly cried after watching Vertical Road. Thank you very much for this incredibly amazing performance. No words can be describe! i can feel the commitment and the energy, AMAZING!

my friend cried after watching this, she was sitting in the front role in the middle, she was so overwhelmed and touched :")

THANK YOU, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I have to say 'Vertical Road' is by far the Best Dance performance I've ever seen!

  • what a wonderful concept! will go watch!
