  • Thank you for the I Cor. 9 about selling Christian goods! My uncle said he didn't believe it was right to sell the Bible study he produced and would only give it away even after so much work he put into it.

  • The bad singer:

My cousin is mentally handicapped and does stuff like that in the church. He stands at the front of the church and flails about like a maniac. He has the mind of a 7 year old. He thinks, talks and acts like a 7 yr/o. He's about 45 now.

It's an extreme distraction during praise and worship. You notice many people turning away from him b/c it is such a distraction. If this is a one time thing it's not a big deal. But every week? No. You wouldn't let a child do that, would you?

  • Why did you block my other channel? Did I leave a bad comment (if I did I don't remember lol )he other channel was sweetlolitacookies

  • It's funny because I have once used cuss words while praying to God. Though I was frustrated at the time I immediately started to feel bad and ask God for forgiveness.

  • James3:8 But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. 11 Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? 12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.

  • this subject in greater detail. God Bless your ministry.

  • other, I mean, who decides what a cuss word is? I'm sure there are people who have an even stricter sense than you and would condemn a person for using a phrase like "that sucks" or " you're belief is stupid" To me, the issue of bad language is all relative, I strive not to offend people present with my speaking, and I don't curse people, and I don't use the Lords name in vain. At least I try my best not to do those things. I was hoping from the title of the video that you would have gone into..

  • I feel like I can't express myself properly in many situations without using them. That being said, It's not like every second word that comes out of my mouth is a cuss word but I am inclined to believe that this issue is not a doctrinal issue, english words change meaning all the time we can see evidence of that in bible translations. I am purposing to not use words around people I know they will offend, but if I am with people who I know will not be offended, are they not just words like any..

  • I have been thinking about this issue quite a lot lately. I'm a relatively new Christian and I have been trying not to swear and I do not use the Lords name in vain at all anymore, but certain other words namely "sh*t" and "f*ck" they are so ingrained into my vocabulary I can't speak without using those words without focusing intently on not using them. Like when I see something and am surprised by it, those are my automatic go-to words. TBC...

  • thats why i got rid of my rap music because it had a couple of cuss words in it so i deleted it because of that reason.

  • That song was a sweet sound of praise to our LORD

  • David Said, i am a man of unclean lips...jus saying

  • Ray has a sweet beard now!

  • Don't change a thing about the show. And don't stop having fun! Jesus laughed and smiled so why shouldn't we? Some Christians need to loosen up a little. Not saying sin but at least laugh a little.

  • I enjoy this show but I wish you all were more serious!

  • Why has the picture for the show been fuzzy lately?

  • @englesledgehammer Type in snuffalufagus in any search engine and you'll discover that it is indeed a Sesame Street reference. Apology accepted.

  • @thewayofthemaster you win this time christianity, although in my defense tony said it was purple and mr. snuffleupagus is brown while the heffalump from pooh bear is purple

  • @thewayofthemaster This is fantastic, i post comments on these videos all the time about god and the jesus and other things of substance and i almost never get responses, but when i say that mr. snuffleupagus is from pooh bear i get tons of responses

  • @englesledgehammer AND Sophy Astyages was coupled to his mummy’s boys, and Cyrus of Persia inserted his sphere.

  • @englesledgehammer lolz, you're thinking of heffalump maybe??

  • @englesledgehammer Mr. Snuffleupagus appeared in sesame street in 1971, the only elephant on winnie the pooh is named lumpy (appeared in 2005). Otherwise the only time elephants are included in winnie the pooh are only mentioned and are called heffalump... Now the question is why does it matter?

  • @englesledgehammer there is no snuffalugus in pooh hear which is winnie the bear series there is egore and so fourth but not sunuffalugus everyone knows snuffalugagus is from sesame street.

  • @englesledgehammer *smh* Isn't it is ignorant non-Christians who always spout "Judge not lest ye be judged."

    :-/

  • @earthygreen im sorry was that supposed to make sense?

  • @englesledgehammer remove the "is".

I thought I should delete the comment and retype it, but I figured you were intelligent enough to overlook the typo I made. I'm sorry you needed me to explain it to you.

You judged a person incorrectly as IGNORANT when you yourself were ignorant. "Judge not lest ye be judged."

Thank you for allowing me to explain it in explicit detail.

  • We got to represent our God

    Ephesians 5:1-33

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving...

  • Ephesians 4:29

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

Colossians 3:8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth

    Romans 12:2

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect

  • When a Christian curses or is vulgar in their language it does not mean they are a false convert or a bad person. Should they curse? Noo! Should a non christian curse no! But we are all human and we do make mistakes. Christians especially should reframe from using curse words and try to work on their vulgar language because it just makes u should cheap and ignorant.

  • Sorry I have to go to work and I don't have time for a 30 minute video... can someone just tell me the answer with a Yes or No? I will be really appreciated.. thanks! :)

  • @gamer7790 @gamer7790 Christians can cuss of course.......The question should be should you cuss? No...filthy words that come out of your mouth are a mirror to what is on your heart.

  • @MrMfloor well said!!

  • @MrMfloor Thank you....

  • I can't believe they picked on Tony for speeding to maybe thousands of people. How embarrassing. Now they should talk about their sins to make it fair....( I don't really need to know, just trying to make a point) I'm sorry Tony. I hope Ray and Mark apologized after the show!

  • I really liked what Tony said @ 22:04 ... he's absolutely right. You can pretty much kiss your non-Christian friends goodbye. Non-Christians don't like hearing about Jesus, sin or hell and as soon as you mention it your relationship is changed forever in a negative way. They don't see you the same, and they won't unless/until they also become born again. Jesus told us this would happen. =) They hated him, so of course the world hates us too. So be it! =)

  • Is this supposed to be in 3D. It is a little fuzzy.

  • HAVE MERCY he sounds like he's in labour with a litter of puppies

  • I sneeze when i look at the sun :)

  • @Freethinkin14 Me too! =D

  • It is that since i started using bad words again i havent been able to sing praise songs anymore when at home, only in church and i feel like theres no power in my words and dont feel like i want to praise God even, i understand now from James, when i see christians cuss, i get shocked, and im a christian, no wonder what atheists and such thinks when we cuss.. im ashamed of this, i hope you pray form e

  • @Rangel316 Don't let the enemy discourage you from praising God ... He is worthy of all praise!! You don't have to "earn" your salvation, you didn't do anything to deserve it in the first place. Remember your salvation is an unmerited gift from God. Instead of justice He's given you mercy. Remember that God loves you, reading the Word will help cleanse your mind & pray to God to help you stop cursing in word & thought. Correct yourself if you do it & in time you'll form a new habit.

  • You think its right to make fun of people?

  • I know when i became a christian God made me stop using bad words, they tasted bitter in my mouth.. Now i have started saying them again with both christiand and unchristians just for joke regular talking, not to offend but you know talking like friends, pray that i cease with this because whatever excuses people got that its not wrong i believe it is... I have noticed one thing that i got to share

  • "...Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise."

    - John 2:16

  • Well if the singer was singing straight from the heart, God loved every minute of it.

  • God is holy, holy, holy!

  • the dude singing...Freaked out my cat, first time I have NEVER seen that before.

  • The video of the young man trying to sing "[O]mazing Grace" (yes, I've seen it and enjoyed it before), reminds me of even the most mature Christian trying to pray.

  • I mostly like this show, and I mostly like the hosts, but I wish the big bald guy would tone it down just a bit. Just a bit overpowering. He's a nice well meaning man, but he's so loud.

  • ray is right if you think cursing is cool use it in prayer and see if your prays will be answer.

  • I disagree with your position on cursing. I studied a lot in the past the issue of Christians and swearing, and I do not see anything that convinces me that it is wrong. First, most of the bad words in English come from Old English before the Normans introduced a great deal of French vocabulary. They declared many normal words to be "dirty". Second, did not Paul describe his worldly honor essentially as s***, and didn't Jesus call the Pharisees dogs and snakes? Perhaps not vulgar, but offensive.

  • Third guy on the green screen, you lose the top of your head whenever you sit up straight. :P

  • Can they? Of course. They still have free will. Should they? NO. If any of your behavior is casting stumbling blocks before others, serving to turn others away from the path to salvation, you need to correct that behavior. And take a look at Matthew 5:37 " All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one." While the context of that scripture was specifically talking about taking or swearing an oath on something, the message is clear.

  • I like you guys, I think you're heart's in the right place. I think the question "can christians cuss" is kind of a dumb question though, it's no different than saying "can christians sin?" And the answer of course is yes, when you get saved you don't suddenly lose your bad habits and sins, you've got to seek and fill yourself with the word and let Jesus gently remove those habits in his perfect timing. This is actually a pretty insugnificant subject question.

  • Question.... if i were to get Christ centered tattoos would i be offending God.

  • ...continued

I said a few choice words.

I said the words not because I have an evil heart, I said them because blood was gushing out of my body.

Furthermore, some people consider words to be cuss words and others don't.

My mother considers the words fart, poop, and pee to be cuss words because they describe bodily functions.

Instead she uses "pass gas" and "potty". But these words also describe the same bodily functions.

I do think that cursing from the pulpit is wrong in all cases.

  • I dunno. This is a difficult topic.

In the late 1800's and early 1900's it was considered extremely rude to call a woman a "female". Referring to a woman as being a female was like calling her a bi*** today. But today referring to a woman as a female is not rude.

I don't think God approves of us swearing every, but I do think he understands that it happens.

One day at work I was using a box cutter and I accidentally cut a 2 inch gash in my hand that went to the bone.

    continued....

  • Ray looks awesome with a beard. He kind of looks like an Einstein/Chuck Norris combination.

  • Jesus called people foxes and/or dogs. that is pretty harsh language. Whether or not the word is not one of the "7 dirty words" is irrelevant. I believe the question "Can Christians cuss?" is the wrong question to be asking. The question should be "Am i loving my neighbor with the way I am talking to him?" There is nothing inherently wrong with any words including FUCK and the bible does not condemn any words except for those that are blasphemous.

  • @ 6:00 Is that guy experiencing a chemically-induced stupor?

  • You guys are just awesome :) I respect what ya'll are doing! :)

  • I think a lot of it depends on context. But another problem is that not all people consider the same words cuss words. And as culture changes the words that are curse words change. Words that were alright to say when I was a kid are now considered curse words and curse words then are not considered curse words now. It's not the word itself, its the context and culture in which it is used.

  • Relax unbutton yur collars a bit folks.

  • And if no ones going to hell for doing it. Its not a sin!

  • I am gonna have totally disagree on this cussing thing. An adjective that we don't even have another word for. Every cuss words has 50 billion other words for it not to mention in different languages. Men are the ones who develop the words and give the meaning to words. If man is always changing then the words are always changing cuss our words purely subjective. Not to mention its all about context. If you guys actually think god is going send somebody to hell for saying F%&k it your nuts.

  • I do not think that Christians should use "bad" words because they are offensive to people and because majority of "bad" words are associated with bad things. But can anyone really justify why it's okay for if someone stubs their toe and yells out "fiddlesticks!"? and it's not "cussing"? but if they yell out 'F@CK!" it's now a sin? I don't think Christians should use those words simply for cultures sake, but I think we really need to stop attacking words, but rather focus on how we use words.

  • @GrotesqueKevin Seeing as the problem lies (mostly) in how we appear to others (seeing as we should desire to express Spirit-led self control, see Galatians 5:22-23), if you scream a bad word when you're by yourself, it's not as bad as if you'd done it in front of others.

HOWEVER, since you are the same person no matter where you are, your self control is still a concern if it's just you and God present. That's how I would justify keeping it clean if you're alone.

  • @dougmoerhoffman

    Ephesians 4: 29-32

"Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."

  • @GrotesqueKevin EXACTLY! I generally steer away from swearing because it's looked down upon, but even among the Christians I knew at a Baptist university there were mixed opinions about swearing or even which words were truly "bad". Besides cursing AT people or vainly speaking God's name, I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

  • When he mentioned Mark Driscoll that was the first thing I thought of with the title. Ah Elephant Room; you've opened such a big bag of worms.

  • I do I submit my questions??

  • @Adisayam1989 You can submit all questions at onthebox(at)livingwaters(dot)com

  • I agree 100% with Bro. Ray on the topic of cussing. A true Christian should NEVER cuss. It taints the individual's testimony and is counterproductive.

  • Starts at 15:16

  • @KodeLiMe Thanks.
