I actually met someone who went to school with kerry, and became a rodie for slayer in the 80's. He told me, he didnt like south of heaven, because to him, it marked the point where slayer started to sound "mainstream". I dissagree with him, as I find it to be one of slayer's best albums, and just because slayer slowed down, doesnt mean they were trying to somehow sellout. Its not like they completely slowed down anyways, South of heaven has at least four or five faster songs.

SLAYER purposely wrote an album that didn't sound anything like Reigning Blood, because they knew they couldnt top it. They definately didnt sell out. I love that album too.
