what do you prefer for gaming? PS3 or xbox ?

@Klarley They both have their upsides. The online service of the XBOX is much better, although, it costs. The PS3 has better graphics and general overall look as it outputs native 1080p, the XBOX only outputs 720p upscaled to 1080p. I am not a fan of the PS3 controller after playing with the 360 one, it really annoys me.

@keithoms you got it wrong both consoles are upscaled your thinking of ps3 exclusive games being native 1080p xbox 360 have native 1080p games but only a few.

Do you actually get true surround sound from the Logitech X-540 set up on the 360 and PS3? I'm wanting to hook it up to my set up but I wanna be able to hear people sneaking up behind me and such.

PC is true surround, Consoles use the X-540's matrix mode to simulate Dolby 5.1 through the speakers.
