soak the romertopf... It has to be soaked. You may lose your gorgeous rompertopf w/o this important step! When used properly (and it is EASY to use, but read the instructions! :) )
While the ingredients of this recipe make sense, like others have commented, this Romertopf looks brand new and it most certainly was NOT soaked first. That is a key component of using these roasters. If someone didn't know and followed her recipe exactly, they might be saying goodbye to their Romertopf that they spent plenty of money on.
SOAK YOUR ROMERTOPF--but I guess this woman either cannot read or did not read the instructions that came with the purchase of a Romertopf. These clay cookers cost a lot, starting at a minimum $100 and up, depending on size. If you're going to use expensive equipment in the kitchen, then at least know what you're doing. She didn't even braise the meat before putting it into the clay cooker & using the dripping..
Wondering why you didnt soak or instruct to soak the baker first? Its paramount with clay bakers........so key if you are going to promote your bakers?Thats far more important than watching you chop veggies
that looks like an easy recipe, I will try it in my Romertopf but you need to soak the clay baker first, that way it steam cooks the food and the meat comes out juicy and very tender

Don't peel your veggies either! The health benefits are all in the outer skin. BTW, soak your clay pot before using.

Did you soak the pot before using? I always soak my Römertopf so I get more steam inside. Also, it says so in the instructions...
