I see this video was recorded with a capture card. How do I record my gameplay? I have a television with input av cable slots but there is no output. What do I do?
I've seen Ridley beaten MUCH faster on Speed Demos Archive. You should take a look at that, the fastest runner (who's since retired from the game) uses various glitches and tricks to speed through boss fights and collect items in advance. What version are you running? There's a site that details speedrunning tricks for all the Metroid games, including Super Metroid. Look up "Metroid2002."
That's understandable. I can't perform the glitches myself (like the L-button jump and the dash to the space jump boots), and I prefer to play the game the "hard" way (not on hard mode though, I hate the bosses in Metroid Prime 2 enough as it is). I can't wait to see your run!
I don't know...I plan on taking a break from the metroid series after I finish the first metroid prime. Metroid Prime 2 had a lot of more on collection and scan logging. After Metroid Prime is done I'll move on to something else. That of course doesn't mean I'm not going to do it. It's just that I'm itching to do some other games I've been wanting to do.

As for a date...sometime within a week or two. Dream of mirror online has me distracted greatly.
Has to take a while for being processed after the video gets online. Then the HD or HQ option should become available. We have to wait a little while I guess.

I didn't record this with a capture card. I used a DVD recorder. But I don't think I can help you. Your TV must be very old to not have output slots.

try using virtual dub to sharpen it up a little. awesome vid btw. can't wait for your speed run.

I am using V Dub to do cropping and the HD resizing.
I have tried the smoother and the sharpener but I believe it made it worse.

I went there looking for verifications on the low item runs of Metroid Zero Mission, But that's all I looked for.
I'm not making a glitched speed run especially not out of this game because:
1. It ruins the game.
2. It'll ruin the machinina.
besides glitches are always the same but a dynamic performance given by the player is worth watching as long as it looks "somewhat" professional.
