Helped out half a dozen families with there large acre farms clearing fence lines of fallen trees and trees that were on the brink of falling over and removing star picket fencing.Dam its hard to get out of the ground without the right equipment. I came up with the idea to use a high lift jack to pry em out of the ground but still it was a hard slog with most of em rooted into the ground by vegetation.The home made meals at the end of the day and a cold beer was so worth it + smiles on sad faces
Bloody hell here I am again 7 months down the track doing a clean up on comments that have built up in my recieved message section to end up watching this vid again 6 fold with tears streaming all over again as if it happened yesterday. My mate and I went on a rampage with 44 gallon drums of water and an awesome water pump and 50 metre hose on the back of his 4x4 ute and we went out for 3 weeks putting out hot spots and fires the moment we saw smoke rise in the distance.God don't repeat again
this is so very very sad im in tears and yet why is it in times of great crisis 2 things happen first the world forgets the politics and becomes human again only to have the second thing happen and destroy that feeling and thats the crazies coming out of their boxes and make the situation that much worse
This is so sad.. Cant believe the amount of people that had to go through the traumatic death. Its just horrible and I hope the people that started the fires, recieve some of their own when they are caught. Its good to see that some people are being positive about the situation, which really would help those that aren't coping too well. Rest in Peace to all those who have lost their lives.
I am from Slovakia and in news are every day something about fire in Australia. We have here 30 cm snow and winter. I hope that all to be ended in AU.
I can't stop listening to this now. It breaks my heart. I'll never sit next to a campfire again without thinking of the ones who lost family members or friends in this tragic event.
We are aussies and we fight for what is ours! The thought of dying doesn't come into the equasion when your trying to save your livelyhood. I know from what my mates parents went through and what they told me. They fought hard to save there home on Saturday and on Monday/yesterday when I went out to there place with fire still burning on either side of the track getting there, he said to me dying never crossed his mind , it was all about saving the home which he and his wife live in. OZ COURAGE!

nah man no offence taken..i understand what you meant..the song can have many interpretations..i personally find it touching and makes me feel sad as i do when i see footage from the bushfires..life is unfair sometimes..glad to hear your friend and family are okay.
Nice song though. I helped my best mate and his family evacuate yesterday and I guess they were reluctantly saying goodbye to there home as we left. But they went home thisafternnon to there home which was perfectly fine. But to the ones that went back to, well burn't down memories my heart breaks for you guys. We Victorians will help you guys out anyway we can. I just hope it never repeats itself again. Too too much suffering has been brought apon so many people to contemplate. God Bless
yeah i can't imagine what those people must be going through..but it's great to see all the aussies who have been touched by this and are willing to help..however i have actually read negative comments from a few idiotic americans on a forum saying things like 'idiots, how can you die in a fire..just run away' or pfft we have fires like that all the time in california and ignorant comments like that..RIP to all those lost and god bless.
walk away and say goodbye???? Not the best song for an event to which we all should be banding together and helping each individual with whatever crisis they are faced with. Seems pretty negative to me. The songs concept is on the right path but the lyrics are a little negative especially when we are still facing the beast head on. Some will think this is negative and others will think otherwise. But it ain't time to walk away and say good bye. Not yet bro not yet!
not at all intended to be negative..just thought the sound of the song matched the tragedy that is occuring...i know we are still fighting it and we will all help each other through to the end.. we have already raised 28 million dollars and the amount of volunteers is amazing..thanks for the comment..once again the lyrics were not intended to come off that way :)
We must prepare ourselves this summer because it will be another hot one. Stay safe everyone and lets hope this does not happen again.
