I'm always the first to jump on new versions of everything, even if it means dealing with the occasional bugs, but this new interface really is two steps back. I used for over a month and when I came back to the old one for the sake of it, it felt like licking a big crystal of YESS!
I've not 'switched' yet, so can't give feedback. After reading so many Negatives about the New design, does anyone think that Google will be doing updates or patches for these problems?
Are we all going to be Forced to switch by a certain time-frame? (like FB & it's Time-line).

Gray, gray, gray everywhere. I have 20/20 vision and find myself squinting constantly; I can't tell the text from the background. And I have to move my mouse thrice the distance around the screen to get to the buttons I use most. I have to click a button to see the sign in form before signing in. Such an elementary error in user design. I love you old Gmail. Please come back.

Sorry but I hate it. I am legally blind and have to zoom in to view webpages. All I have is about 60% of wasted space that doesn't move anymore, and "trying" to read a message is a joke, because I have a tiny panel to view it in. This new "look" is a joke to people with low vision.The "old" version was working just fine until you guys screwed it all up. Please leave the old version.
The rest of the poor design - scrolling 4x's more, wasted space, difficult to read, mystery meat navigation - are all apart of keeping you on the site longer.

Go watch my videos they are not a joke. Someone or some organization has a terrible device or devices capable of reading peoples thoughts and memories. This device works through the walls of buildings and homes, and is also capable of torturing people in all sorts of ways wirelessly. Please help get the word out about this terrible device so the ones operating it can be found and terminated along with their terrible device(s). This is not a joke I have seen them hurt kids with the device even.

When Eric Shmidt was the CEO of Google, things were great and people loved Google's products. Mark my words: Alan Page and his terrible leadership will drive this company into the ground. Users are complaining that these interfaces are hurting their eyes but nothing will change because this is the future of Google.

There is a level of confusion added that I just don't need. I am all for open source, I love the ideals of Google, but it's hard to get things done. then I tried to print my contacts and it came out as EVERYONE I ever emailed.
The new look, no limits on sections no limit and open communication (ads / text message). There is no contrast, large buttons occupy much vertical space. Search box does not move up and not disappear when previewing a message (this is also a loss of Y) It's a common colorless solid.
Never, until this moment, new changes to Gmail, did not cause such violent passions and resistance in users. A huge wave of discontent in the network proves that new look Gmail'' is a big mistake and harm to Google :-(

@therealTaichiYagami Oh it helps me because it's a lot easier on my eyes, the design is pleasant to use, the new features even if small ones such as profile pics help me find what I want, and new search + integrated filters has made my life a lot easier since I create a lot of filters. Not to mention the information about the participants of the mail that appears on the right, helped me many many times.

Google has issued new privacy policy changes and have changed many of their services. I will be pulling all of my sites off Google-owned services and consoldate them on self-hosted websites. Google, a once high-standard company has succumbed to substandard levels and joins the whores of communism. Google will not survive the next five to ten years. Does anyone know if you change the hieroglyphic tabs to the worded tabs similar to the old layout? I guess it will become more intuitive from using it, but honestly I keep going back to the old look because it is more efficient in this sense, I don't care for the style of the newer version but it also hurts my eyes but to be fair I haven't bothered to tinker with the accessibly setting for my vision. I think that your emailing layout is very personal to you, I want to stay with the old layout.
SUGGESTIONS: Please make the "contacts" visible, don't hide it under "Mail"... also, why make the interface user-friendly like Yahoo, simple and faster..thank you!
Gmail does not adapt to my use. I *never* chat, but they always force the chat thing up there and it covers most of the menu where the regular folders (inbox, spam, trash, etc.) are.
A very simple summary: If you release a product and 50% of your base thinks it is garbage and you insist on forcing it upon them, be well prepared to lose 50% of your base.
From a shareholders perspective, it would be a PR nightmare and it wouldn't' be unheard of for the price of said stocks to drop by up to 50% in a very short period of time.

Google is fucking annoying last time! I had the accounts in gmail and youtube while they were independent, now I need to switch betwin the acconts. And every time I have to reply fucking questions like "would you have separate accounts?", "would you give us your phone number?" (хуй вам, пидары!), "would you check your spare e-mail address?" and so on... And now they've created the new stupid gmail inteface, which looks like newby's first shitty-web-design attempt!
Wow the new look is awefull! Under the 'old' look labels just work, with the 'new' look the damn frame reloads every time I open or close one. And the borderless look is just pure crap.

I was happy with the old GMail interface. I will try to stick to it.
I also don't like the new YouTube channel user page. The new page gives less details about a person. To me, it looks like you want to promote +Google with that new look, but not many users adhere to that product.
The new look is a joke. From the amateurish design with its many dumb decisions to the "we know better than you, peasants" approach in rolling it out this is an extraordinary train wreck.
I absolutely HATE the new look. I have begun searching for alternatives to Google services to use once this new look becomes permanent and I can no longer revert to the old one. I have no idea why they seem to be ignoring what the users are saying about this switch that NO ONE asked for.
Google is great. But it will be more great if Google don't change so often also keep it simple and easy to use.

Anyway I'm not saying there are no positives but there are plenty of negatives, even if they aren't important to you. Google has issued new privacy policy changes and have changed many of their services. I will be pulling all of my sites off Google-owned services and consoldate them on self-hosted websites. Does anyone know if you change the hieroglyphic tabs to the worded tabs similar to the old layout? I guess it will become more intuitive from using it, but honestly I keep going back to the old look because it is more efficient in this sense, I don't care for the style of the newer version but it also hurts my eyes but to be fair I haven't bothered to tinker with the accessibly setting for my vision. I think that your emailing layout is very personal to you, I want to stay with the old layout.

Gmail does not adapt to my use. I *never* chat, but they always force the chat thing up there and it covers most of the menu where the regular folders (inbox, spam, trash, etc.) are.

A very simple summary: If you release a product and 50% of your base thinks it is garbage and you insist on forcing it upon them, be well prepared to lose 50% of your base.
From a shareholders perspective, it would be a PR nightmare and it wouldn't' be unheard of for the price of said stocks to drop by up to 50% in a very short period of time.

Гугль, сцуко, реально заебал последнее время!! Мало того, что теперь приходится переключаться между джимейлом и ютубом (у меня изначально были разные аккаунты!), одновременно пользоваться нельзя! Так еще каждый раз при переключении они, блядь, заебывают вопросами. типа "дай нам свой номер телефона" (ага, сосите хуй!), "а не хотите ли еще один имейл в джимейле?", "или хотите использовать разные аккаунты?" (да, блядь, хочу! Где кнопка "не справшивать больше, долбоебы!" ?!

Google is fucking annoying last time! I had the accounts in gmail and youtube while they were independent, now I need to switch betwin the acconts. And every time I have to reply fucking questions like "would you have separate accounts?", "would you give us your phone number?" (хуй вам, пидары!), "would you check your spare e-mail address?" and so on... And now they've created the new stupid gmail inteface, which looks like newby's first shitty-web-design attempt!

@mrbrockpeters Is the user the product..? really? If one pay internet, that's to can use the web products, not for using the basic programs of the PC... Of course that if i had the option to choose another service, i'd have used another! but Google has products that others dont. I also don't like the new YouTube channel user page. The new page gives less details about a person. To me, it looks like you want to promote +Google with that new look, but not many users adhere to that product.

I absolutely HATE the new look. I have begun searching for alternatives to Google services to use once this new look becomes permanent and I can no longer revert to the old one. I have no idea why they seem to be ignoring what the users are saying about this switch that NO ONE asked for.
