If more humans speak from their Heart as your Spirit does David Lakota then the world would be a much better place to "be" in. What ones Spiritual Belief is should not be judged by another. Thank you for sharing yours. I pray those words too in ceremony. Mitakuye Oyasin....WE ARE ALL RELATED....maybe more humans should listen and understand that. Aho Brother!!
This video touches my heart with so much joy and happiness i post this continually on my facebook page Pray for Mother Earth, i love this thank you David for this . this has touch so many souls with great sense of awareness to pray for our mother earth.
Thank you David. I use the Four Winds Calling In for my fire ceremony in Munay-ki. Your prayer is beautiful. Reverence for all the Universe and kindness to others - service through love brings the peace we long for. We are all one, AHO!
Thank you Captain,And thanks to Jim and the others for opening the doors. All the best to you and the ones you hold dear. The shaman, doctor, captain, president rank and file thing is all a bit much in life,I THINK when it all comes down to the facts we are just GURUS and Students.Again thank you for the passage of your knowledge. You need better camera work to capture the sparkling eye technique I think I caught it with your conversation with Jim.Go in Peace.
Hi David-I love this Ranger Meditation.I was new to drumming, opening the four directions, ceremony-you gave me a guideline to go by-we open solstice, equinox, full moon,&new moon ceremonies, by calling in the four directions-the animals might be different, depending on where a person is from, or what tradition(Mayan, Navajo, Lakota, etc)--but the prayer is the same.Thank you for sharing your Native wisdom-btw, I'm not native, but have found peace in the tradition. I appreciate what you do~
@zenman33 You call yourself an Shaman ? For real ? Well there is one thing a shaman will never do, and that is calling him or herself a shaman. That's something for the comunity to do ....
Where did u learn that? a movie? Book? Elder? I heard the same thing. The Shaman I learned from never called himself one either. It didn't help that such people were routinely hunted down and killed for being known as Shamans. Same with witches.
There are many old ways changing now out of necessity. For example, my shaman teacher, who called himself a Medicine Man (same thing), used to cure people by taking on their disease n purging it thru his body. I learned a new way instead..
@DavidLakota Heya David, I didn't learn this from a book, it's something that was awakend in my conciounus and showed by some of my teachers for the few past years. And yes, I agree, traditional shamans where hunted and killed for there believe's. Shame on that. But, were are evolving to an higher frequency, so what worked in the old days, has to be re-introduced in maybe an hole new setting.
Great to hear that you have found you're own way, I really like that ;-) Love you <3
Thank you David, TsalagiElder & LadyUnusual- I feel the words from all of you. May one day our world become more connected with spirit and with eachother. Greetings from Washington DC.
As a Tsalagi Elder I would like to say that it makes no difference what color your skin is or what your beliefs is,it only matters as to how you treat people in this life, we are all the same,we all have the same desires and the same goals and that is to be good people and treat one another fairly and with respect, there is an old saying about war. War does not determine who is right. War merely determines who is left. We must learn to have respect for one another and for each other's beliefs.
As a Shaman I say that you do what must be done. Listen to no one but your Guides and those closest to you. The Earth hears your prayer, as you well know. Blessings to you, David Lakota.
Rise above, my friend. You are expressing how you feel. You don't need to respond to the weak who chastise you. The wise would not condemn you for believing so focus on the good and remember that within this flesh we are all one.
Light and Love to you David for your love and respect for Mother Earth and everything which is alive and in one with the Great Spirit! Be proud of who you are and don't listen the stupid comments people who don't know who they really are in the great wheel of life.
"Crystal gazing NewAge phony", I like that. "Leave Native spirituality alone..." hmmm, well, I'm probably going to continue honoring Great Spirit and Mother Nature, Sky Father and Earth Mother even though you don't approve. Thanks for the suggestion to go bastardize my ancestors, but I think I'll just honor them too. By the way I never claimed to be Indian. Aren't they from India? Are you one of them Indians?
@DavidLakota You know, you really come off as condescending and hateful person in many of your comments. The videos are full of beautiful words, but the words that you say to other people sound exactly like any other zealous cleric.
Well said. And excellent well-wishes. This is a good part of how and why the world is changing. The negative and the pessimistic is having its last stand, it's last hoorah.
The word shaman comes from Siberia. In Hawaii it is Kahuna. Other places call it Witch Doctor, though that is a little different. Once you evolve beyond attachment to words and seek instead their meaning you may begin to fulfill your own destiny as a shaman. Or you can wallow in the stench of your own ignorance and neglect. The only difference between a shaman and an everyday person is that a shaman does what she does consciiously. Wake up SpiritLakeMassacre. Let go of the past.
My mother is the Earth. My father is the sky. I was born in America. People are native to wherever they are born. And in regard to Native American Spirituality, this is more a matter of daily life and practice than the color of skin or bloodline. I was adopted by the Apaches in 1994 and given the name Ravenfire. On my 30th birthday I was given the name Lakota. Like most or all "Spirit-names", this is something to embrace as a challenge and life mission. It is something sacred to grow into.
Thank you David. This is just what I was looking for, It puts everything into one prayer. I want to do this every morning to start off my day.Yellowleaf
The Toltec People have four simple tenets by which they live. And believe it or not you don't have to be Toltec to apply their wisdom. One of them is "Always do your best." Two- don't take anything personally. Three- Be impeccable with your word." And four, "Don't make assumptions." It is obvious featherjones that you are neglecting three of these four basic responsibilities. Instead you squander your attention on criticism that reveals your foolishness. Get busy and do something with your life.
Hi Thanks for responding. The main part of the prayer is always the same, never to be changed followed by personal intention which is different almost every time I do it. What is "panindian"? And how are you?
Excellent video and pictures. I liked that you included several different spoken endings. I believe we are ALL one we just arrive by a diffferent paths. Thanks for sharing.
In times such as these - the power and truth of these fundamental words of hope and affirmation rise like the eagle on the wing in comparison to the stench of greed emanating from the Financial vampire centres of the world. Thank you for the actualisation of many peoples deep thoughts.
You are very welcome. What did you like about it if you don't mind my askin'. Only twice ever have I filmed the Ranger Prayer, which in days of old was not to be shared in any way except in the oral tradition, handed down generation to generation. Yet Great Spirit and Nature compelled me to share it so I did.

Curious. Do people actually really care about the well being of indigenous peoples? Or do they only care about their 'shamanic' traditions?

Elders are holding speeches to reach peoples consciousnss all over the world. Mother earth needs any good prayer.
Shamanic traditions exist all over the world and all people knowing and teaching that any creation has a spirit is so badly needed.
Make peace, take care of which wolf you are feeding.
May you all live in peace and love. The lady
