It's really not THAT small, true. But what amazes me is that the couple bought a home without a second bedroom despite planning to have children. What will they do when the baby gets older? Move again?
I really don't get how 1000 sq.ft. is small. We're two people and two cats living in 800 sq. ft. and our place looks and feels spacious, and this woman keeps bitching that it's "only 1000 square feet"?! Really?!
I think it depends on your circumstance.. To me 1000 sq ft. or less is relatively small and anything beyond that is big. However their place does look a bit big but it may just be the layout. Also what you consider small depends on how many people live their as well. I live in a 800 sq ft. apartment with my dog and I feel like I barely have enough space, and I'm good with saving space. So it's each person's situation and circumstance to me that also has to be taken into account.

ive always lived in 8000 sq ft or more homes and villas and this house seems almost that big

Wow . I have 50 more sq ft and that house looks HUGE compared to ours ! Those high ceilings really make the difference I guess .
