Rarely do I see Filipino with facial features like hers, it's understandable if most of the Pinay you see are on the internet, though. They some times go for that look while using way too much flash to make themselves look whiter. Just look through Facebook. 300 webcam face shots in almost exactly the same pose. *lol* Truth be known, she looks like someone from South-west China or even Vietnam.

The Filipino in America look different than the Filipino I see here, but maybe that's because I've only stayed in Visayas and Mindanao, and most of the Filipino in the States are (seemingly) Tagalog or Ilocano. Even the culture is different between Manila folk, Bisaya, Dabawnon (as opposed to the rest of Mindanao) and United States Filipino.

I just said that a lot of people in America think that Filipino are just Chinese with dark skin, but I know you're not one of those people because you're Filipino. I am an American like you, but I live in the Philippines and I've really tried hard to know the difference between one kind of person and another so I won't offend anyone, but admittedly it can be hard because we're all kind of mixed up somewhere in our family tree.

@cultswing Sir, I do respect how you feel, but please allow me to point a few things out. One, she wasn't kidnapped, she was adopted. Two, Chinese is a citizenship, not a race. Judging by her looks, I doubt very much that she's a Han (漢族). She's probably Miao (苗族) or a Li (黎族) from Canton (廣東省), and even if she is a Han, there are plenty of Han still in China. So, no worries. Just be happy this little girl has a family that loves her and that such a pretty face hails from your country.
