the proper Tibetan name is Bhuchung. Bhutia is what indians refer to tibetans as.

So yes, sikkim, ladakh, lahaul spiti and parts of arunachal pradesh are inhabited by ethnic tibetans. if india is brave and foresighted, these areas should be given as a seed to rebuild the historical tibet as a free nation. instead we will see more aggression from china to claim these lands.
