i have this ball its great really great. But dont you think they should have kids on this so i for one would do it. If your looking into it my avg. is about a 125. But i really want to do this really bad.
I have this ball now and have been using it for a few months now,It is pretty good, but it can be annoying. My highest game with it is a 199.Ive gotten 8 almost 9 strikes in a row using this ball during practice.
It is a very interesting ball. I have a 14-pounder and I can say that it is (at least is drilled to be) maniacally reactive. I find this quality both endearing and annoying in that while it allows me to be fully aggressive without worrying whether this ball will flip if I miss slightly left, it is feast or famine equipment for the average Joe (say 180 bowler or so). I have never left as many splits with any other ball, by far, but I also cannot dispute its ability to create area (and chaos).
Im 15,ive been in two leagues and i can make a plastic ball hook like this ball can,im looking for a new ball for me to get,I was thinking between this one or a differnt one, what would be good for me...help!
I'm just curious, wouldn't you show the ball on lanes that are similar to the balls suggested oil density? I mean, the Dark Star was intended for drier conditions right, so I would assume you would want to show its true performance. Just curious, new to bowling but am definitely interested in this ball. Your reviews are pretty sweet in general though!! Thanks
@quentin095 Sorry Quentin! Somehow missed your comment! Actually, we like to test all of our equipment on a standard pattern so you can see how one ball compares to the next. We've found that with surface changes and different layouts, the Dark Star is extremely versatile. We've been able to use it on drier conditions like you mentioned, all the way up to patterns like the Shark Pattern! You would not be disappointed with this ball!
The time delay module is either broken or out of adjustment on the first lane as a Brunswick A-2 the rake drops on ball impact with the cusion and then a 3 second delay minimum before the deck decends to feel for pins, but the rake and deck were coming down together like it was a model A machine....
I bought this ball as a compliment to my Virtual Energy as a dryer lane ball, which is what it's designed for. Most of the pba patterns are much longer than house shots so I can't see why you would want to use it on something like the shark. Viper or Cheetah I think it could be of great benefit but I won't receive the ball for a couple days so we'll see.
@0007123451 Tony Ruocco, the first bowler, is using one with a short pin so it had to be put under the ring finger to get the same reaction as putting it over.

why would they use weaker pin placements on a ball with very low differential? in my eyes this video doesn't do the ball much justice me thinks

@0007123451 personal preference. so they can see the smooth transition down lane. they dont want over/under with a pin up pearl ball.

@the300man Yeah and you could already tell by it's price cause it's like only 66 dollars i think, and yeah like you already know it aint good,
But HAMMMER IS STILL THE BEST!
easyname702 2 years ago
nice they fix the video from the first time, this ball and the other one called the riot would be a good 1-2 punch

wonder how this ball compares to the mars
10InThePitBowler 2 years ago
@10InThePitBowler
probably gonna be more overall backend, something more similar to Roto's Neptune from a few years back just a little more aggressive it looks like
TDGbusted 2 years ago
id say a lil more agressive in the backend. looks like a great value!
