Besides, like any "new" or modern technology, not many people have it because it is so expensive for start up costs, an industrial chiller is gonna run $20,000 easy, plus the heat exchangers and manifolds, and pumps its a ton of money, but IN MY OPINION, which is MINE TO HAVE, it is worth it! But you just sound like one of those old timers stuck in your ways, hey man, have a great life, branch out, try new things.
Not to mention a fifth of the words you type are curse words, you should work on Vocab, and Horticultural terms in order to at make a decent attempt at sounding educated.
Every Hydro store employee I talk to says these don't work very well and have many complaints about leaking and problems. In general its more energy than just buying a portable A/C unit. If you have the correct carbon filters, you can vent outside as much as your heart's content. Get the right equipment and you dont get busted unless you are a dumbfuck
@Don612Juan How exactly do sealed rooms "out do"? Is this your thoughtless response or do you have something you can reference to? As long as the temp is controlled, how would it be any better? with the electric costs?
How would you monitor your CO2 properly if your air in your room was replaced every so often? It would be inefficient, costly, not to mention your CO2 wouldn't be constant enough to really make a dramatic difference. You keep dumping your air though.
@greengardenjedi Not to mention water chillers are 40% more efficient than air conditioners, meaning if you have 5 tons of AC you have 3.5 tons of cooling, if you have a 5 ton water chiller you have 5 tons of cooling.
@Don612Juan All that matters is electric use when comparing. The way you cool your lights will have no different effect on your buds. Installing a portable A/C or a window unit is easier, cheaper, and less dangerous than having water around multiple high voltage equipment. Anything over 2 x 600w lights it just gets ridiculous with the amount of cold water reservoir you need to maintain to cool the air. And water chillers add humidity, A//C units decrease humidity. This is just a fad to waste $
@greengardenjedi They way you cool your lights effects your energy bill. It may be cheaper to by and install an AC, but on a professional level the efficiency of water cooling is unmatched, think about this water transfers heat 25 TIMES faster than air, so if you are cooling using water, the water will absorb your heat and displace it that much faster. Which is why we experience hypothermia in wetter areas. If you have space, having a 250 gallon reservoir with a pump and chiller is perfect.
@Don612Juan "professional level" what exactly does that mean. Professional means to perform a job for money. On that I am professional. I know growers who grow for dispensaries. You know "professional" growers. NONE of them use air cooling. They all run multiple ton A/c units Professionally. I know people who gave it a try and have found water cooling is in fact much less efficient. Please show me a video of a "professional" grow cooling with water cooled air transfer.
@greengardenjedi Funny, I grow for a dispensary. One of my neighbors in my warehouse complex grows using water cooled fixtures, not the heat exchangers we see here, but the jackets which go around the bulb and cool the radiant heat. I'm glad you know professional growers, its quite popular in Colorado.
@Don612Juan Yes the water cooled jackets are bullshit. More shit for people to waste money on. Using water to cool down high wattage electrical components, yeah so very smart. You list your latest vides as "Semi pro" so very true. Why would you be running 2 MH and 1 HPS for a flower grow? Easily by the looks of your videos you are new to growing, and it shows with your plants. They are ok but its obvious you are learning. Very ignorant of you to speculate on something you clearly know nothing of
You talk too much about stuff you know little on, I didn't finish my plant science major, but I'm willing to bet I have spent more time in greenhouses and in the field than you. Why would I be running 2 MH and an HPS? Because HPS are garbage street lamps and are rated for the human eye using Lumens, I measure my light using Photon Flux Density, something my MH bulb manufacturers have caught on to. Thanks for wishes though.
@Don612Juan Yes I meant red spectrum. Again, I am finished going back and forth with someone who knows squat about what they are talking about. Your average closet/very small room does not impress me. Why doesn't koma, urbanretard, or any of the other VERY respectable growers on YouTube use watercooling? Cause it IS FUCKING BULLSHIT that idiots like yourself buy into. You go on like you have actually used this equipment which you havent cause if you did you would know it works like shit.
@greengardenjedi Best thing I can do for you is ignore you, I already conquered you when I explored you. You're ridiculous and your grow is sloppy and contaminated.
@Don612Juan If you think you will be free of spider mites then you truly are an ignorant dumbfuck. Unless you have medical clean room conditions it WILL happen to you. I have been LUCKY not to have had them only a couple times before thus my lack of personal knowledge fighting them. "when you explored me" dude you are a fucking jackass who jumps the newest fads and talk about them when you don't even use them. You and your "plant science" classes at Mickey Mouse University are entertaining
@greengardenjedi Bahahah, Way to go, spider mites in BOTH of your past grows! Meaning you have only finished 2 previous harvests? And neither of them were with out pest contamination!?!?!? Damn thats some real experience, please teach me guru master grower jedi!!
@Don612Juan where do you get 2 previous harvests? Yes thats right I have finished 2 other harvests in the new house i am in. I have been growing legally since 98 when 215 passed into law in my old house.
@Don612Juan Yes I meant red spectrum. I am not wasting anymore time with an idiot who buys into fads and talks about equipment you have never even used. You dont use water cooled in your current grows. If it is so efficient why you running A/C. Water does accept more heat energy, but since you are running water through metal that changes things completely. But I dont expect you understand things like that. Please show me the respectable growers on YouTube using watercooling please
Another illegal grow bought with stolen credit cards. See this shit before. All new equiptment like he ordered it on line. People like you get caught.
Lose the water cooling bullshit man, I know you paid good money for it, but do yourself a favor, consider it a loss and take the hit
Pull air from outside the tent, push it through the lights to create positive pressure inside your hoods and exit out the tent... then call it a day.
You'll never have a problem and the tent will stay cool cool cool. That shit you got there is am fucking circus. Lose that crap or risk burning the fucking house down
@rednoseroxy maybe he is unable to cool down the room any farther by use of further air intake, so in attemp to ward off root rot or other potential problems, he installed the chillers.
@spandy1212 lol, heat signal... lemme tell ya something Sport, if the cops are F.L.I.Ring your house, you've already fucked up and the pigs are just icing the cake for the warrant. or maybe he just has more money than he knows what to do with and the hydro shop picked up on that and sold him way more shit (gimmicks) than he needs. He should have bought a portable a/c unit and been done with it. I work daily within the industry of indoor gardening, I don't give bad advise, you just assume I do.
@rednoseroxy if you are foolish enough to believe that polce don't just drive around with their flir cameras turned on without warrants, then you need to wake the fuck up. they will write it off as icing later, but in reality it will be what led them to the bust in the end. Without a warrant, they can't use FLIR but they do all the time. So flir isn't icing for a warrant, its' "for show" in the court room.
@rednoseroxy or maybe after the air is chilled it exhaust into an outer room within the home. MIght as well chill it or you'll just heat up your damn house, or worse leave a heat signal for the police to pick up on.
Verry nice. Let us know how those hydro-gen coolers work. I poneyd up for the fresca sol hoods. twice the price so I'm interested to see how well these performe.
How bad could the May temperature of air be on the outside it's nature. There's a fan moving it and it is like wind factor ca'pishe?
