Every Hydro store employee I talk to says these don't work very well and have many complaints about leaking and problems. In general its more energy than just buying a portable A/C unit. If you have the correct carbon filters, you can vent outside as much as your heart's content. Get the right equipment and you dont get busted unless you are a dumbfuck

How would you monitor your CO2 properly if your air in your room was replaced every so often? It would be inefficient, costly, not to mention your CO2 wouldn't be constant enough to really make a dramatic difference. You keep dumping your air though.

@greengardenjedi Not to mention water chillers are 40% more efficient than air conditioners, meaning if you have 5 tons of AC you have 3.5 tons of cooling, if you have a 5 ton water chiller you have 5 tons of cooling.

@Don612Juan All that matters is electric use when comparing. The way you cool your lights will have no different effect on your buds. Installing a portable A/C or a window unit is easier, cheaper, and less dangerous than having water around multiple high voltage equipment. Anything over 2 x 600w lights it just gets ridiculous with the amount of cold water reservoir you need to maintain to cool the air. And water chillers add humidity, A//C units decrease humidity. This is just a fad to waste $

@greengardenjedi They way you cool your lights effects your energy bill. It may be cheaper to by and install an AC, but on a professional level the efficiency of water cooling is unmatched, think about this water transfers heat 25 TIMES faster than air, so if you are cooling using water, the water will absorb your heat and displace it that much faster. Which is why we experience hypothermia in wetter areas. If you have space, having a 250 gallon reservoir with a pump and chiller is perfect.

@Don612Juan "professional level" what exactly does that mean. Professional means to perform a job for money. On that I am professional. I know growers who grow for dispensaries. You know "professional" growers. NONE of them use air cooling. They all run multiple ton A/c units Professionally. I know people who gave it a try and have found water cooling is in fact much less efficient. Please show me a video of a "professional" grow cooling with water cooled air transfer.

One of my neighbors in my warehouse complex grows using water cooled fixtures, not the heat exchangers we see here, but the jackets which go around the bulb and cool the radiant heat. I'm glad you know professional growers, its quite popular in Colorado.

You talk too much about stuff you know little on, I didn't finish my plant science major, but I'm willing to bet I have spent more time in greenhouses and in the field than you. Why would I be running 2 MH and an HPS? Because HPS are garbage street lamps and are rated for the human eye using Lumens, I measure my light using Photon Flux Density, something my MH bulb manufacturers have caught on to. Thanks for wishes though.

Pull air from outside the tent, push it through the lights to create positive pressure inside your hoods and exit out the tent... then call it a day.

@rednoseroxy if you are foolish enough to believe that polce don't just drive around with their flir cameras turned on without warrants, then you need to wake the fuck up. they will write it off as icing later, but in reality it will be what led them to the bust in the end. Without a warrant, they can't use FLIR but they do all the time. So flir isn't icing for a warrant, its' "for show" in the court room.
